Honestly, I've listened to some playthroughs and videos of StreetFighter IV, and I wans't that impressed. it actually made me think of anime, specifically of DragonBall type beat-em-ups as far as its sound profile goes. I'm not saying the engine isn't amazing or that the game isn't worth playing, but to my own ears it sounds very lighthearted and bland on the audio side. I have never really had that from an MK game in the last eight years or so; oh sure, some characters used the same voices or didn't sound utterly drop-dead brilliant, but most things at least sounded semi-visceral. Put another way, SF sounds flashier; I can all but see the bright bursts of energy radiating from characters when they perform their super or ultra or whatever move of choice. I'm not a fan.
I wonder how much a PS4 controller would run me? May have to investigate, if they're designed similarly to a ps2/ps3 controller. I utterly love that setup.
