Seconded. But my mileage has varied; and I've tried most of the
approaches that have been mentioned on this list.

Even (sic) the bbdb-pilot.el that JWZ posted had bugs. Has anyone
tried to fix them?

My experience with SyncBBDB has not been good, maybe because I use
2.00.06; it duplicated a load of records in the Palm and corrupted
some of them. I carefully removed the duplications (which were of the
form of one record for Joe Bloggs + phone number and another for Joe
Bloggs + net address, for each single Joe Bloggs record with both in
the BB) and synced again and all seemed well; a subsequent sync after
a few changes at the BBDB end and the problem came back (at which
point I restored a backup and haven't synced since!).

I'm not in a particular hurry to move to BBDB 2.2 - but what were the
advantages again? Does it work with Gnu Emacs 19.33 (the oldest
version I regularly have cause to use)? Has menu support been
implemented for Gnu Emacs yet?

I do remember vaguely hearing about a bbdb-merge being part of 2.2 -
does this work reliably? If so, surely any sync with external formats
such as the Palm would best be based on the same technology, surely?
