I, too, had a lot of difficulty with this. The fault lies with pilotmgr, not
SyncBBDB. After about three hours I got it. I can help someone else, if they
have a linux/redhat system.
Is there any chance of getting SyncBBDB to work with gnome-pilot? While this
is only of interest if you have gnome, it's a much better/cleaner package IMO
and worked "out of the box".
A suggestion for SyncBBDB: to compare the field names in a case-insensitive
way, so that "home" in bbdb gets converted to "Home" on the palm pilot, etc.
I would also move the translation table into a flat file, instead of
hard-coding it in pilotBBDBTranslate.pm.
I'm still getting SyncBBDB to work, but so far I like it a lot!
