Dave, I like your list a lot, but I do wonder:
Aesthetics over usability - Beauty is more powerful than functionalism
Why is this a dichotomy? Isn't it possible to have aesthetics and usability? Beauty and functionalism? Why are you posing them as mutually exclusive?
