CHRIS,
WHILE THIS IS TRUE BASICALLY, IT WILL ONLY WORK IF YOUR TRADING PARTNER HAS
THE ABILITY TO RECEIVE OR SEND DIRECTLY FROM YOU.

BRENDA,
WE ARE USING THE INTERNET TO FTP TO OUR MAILBOX ON GEIS. I BELIEVE ALL THE
MAJOR VAN'S (IE GEIS, STERLING, ADVANTIS etc.) HAVE THE ABILITY TO RECEIVE
TRANSMISSION THROUGH THE INTERNET. I HOPE THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

RICH

This confuses me slightly, since I thought that a feature of 'EDI over
the Internet' was that one was *not* tied to any particular VAN, and
could use one's normal ISP. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.

(despite my unfortunate reputation this is a genuine, rather than
ironic, query)

Regards
Chris
