We are preparing to do EDI over the Internet using the Peregrine/Harbinger
VAN and their product Templar (for security). About a year or two ago
Harbinger approached us to do EDI over the Internet using VPN. At the time
our company strictly forbid VPNs so that was out of the question. I assume
Peregrine/Harbinger still provides such a service.

I'm sure that other VANs provide similar Internet transport services, just
make sure you have the appropriate security measures in place as using just
FTP or HTTP moves the data in clear text. You may want to investigate SSL,
EDI-INT (AS1 & AS2), PGP and other security standards and tools.

Subject: EDI over the internet

I am looking for a VAN/Service to use EDI over the internet. We have
researched ICC.NET. Does anyone use them? Does anyone have another
VAN/Service they use for EDI over the internet?
