I can appreciate Dave's feelings about the frustration of airport security.
I recently traveled through Tel Aviv and spent 25 minutes being questioned
and searched prior to my flight to the US. I do not look forward to
experiencing this in our domestic airports. The sad fact is that our open
and trusting way of flying around the country is gone. We have enjoyed that
freedom while other nations have endured the grueling lines and searches
associated with avoiding terrorism. The US is now in the war. We cannot
turn our backs to the threats and say that it can't happen here. Yesterday
proved that we are as susceptible as any other nation. I mourn the loss of
those that paid for this lesson with their lives and I pray that the people
responsible taste the world's justice in short order. The security we
endure will be part of avoiding another disaster like we are living with
today.

For those of you that have experienced international travel through airports
that have armed guards it is not a pleasant experience. Tightened security
will have a direct impact on an airline industry that is already on a down
cycle.
