I read the diff and I was actually thinking of only replacing the triple dot character with 3 normal dots so as to not disturb the translations (some wording may look wrong after deleting the dots). There is also the more=more... which contains the triple dot in de and fr, possibly some more I overlooked. Maybe copy the triple dot from de translation and grep for it?
