Hi,
I mentioned that I got the manual printing to work on Windows recently,
I think it was yesterday.
The problem is tools for compiling .tex files were not installed.
I got them from http://www.miktex.org/download and clicked there on
other downloads and got the 64bit net installer.
You need to run it twice, once for downloading and once for installation,
but I only choose a nearby download mirror and did not have to change
other options.
I allowed it to download missing files later and on first time running
ant it needed to download a few more things, but it worked flawlessly
and produced the pdf.
Greetings,
wintertime

re: compiling on Windows
I always had to run
ant dist -Dprint.manual.is.up.to.date=true
in order for the installer to compile into a .exe properly.
That was some months ago, so I don't know what if anything has changed.
Best,
Caleb R. Williams
