We manage hundreds of servers for many departmental agencies running many
operating systems. Typically we do not allow "application" support staff to
screw around with "operating system" settings. Since you obviously live in
a windows only world and never have encountered large scale systems and
operations outside of it, try looking once at how most larger companies
arrange staff and delegate authority and privileges to various groups so
they don't step all over each other. Get off your windows centric mindset.

Seems you also believe that just because other products are worse, that
makes some products good. That's a joke. Buy product B because product A
is crap. I think every sales person in town would love to visit your
account and probably has, LOL !

Thanks for providing absolutely nothing but pure commentary to a thread that
asked a question.

Thank you to all others for answering questions possed.

Which are the IMail services not checkable at install?

I can't imagine why you're harping on this, of all "features."

Huh? A cursory familiarity with Windows services is all you need to
manage IMail, among the most straightforward product suites in the
Windows world. I defy you to show us a range of mainstream products with
more "flexible" service-start options.
