All areas of the industry are loaded with these so called experts who tarnish the few experts really out there.
Mike, there are two ways to be an expert. You can either proclaim yourself as an expert (most of whom are the "so-called experts" to whom you refer), or you can just do what you do and let others realize that you are an expert. Sandy falls into the second category. He has proven through many, many posts to this list that he is an expert in many areas related to E-mail (and outside of E-mail). You, unfortunately, have only posted 3 times to this forum before this thread. While your posts clearly show that you are not an expert at E-mail. You may be an expert at Unix, you may be an expert at huge installations of computers -- but even there, you're still in the first category there.
Its required to maintain 100k emails an hour outbound ... The only one that's a
problem is an 8.05 Imail system that can't handle and either rejects or
takes to long to accept inbound emails or ques them.
Is that server receiving all 100K E-mails/hour? If so, IMail is a poor choice. IMail does great for volumes in the mid-to-high 6 figures per day, but it is not designed for millions of E-mails per day.
