John 1. Don't know. 2. We use our own DNS servers to identify known mail servers we send to. 3 & 4. Haven't seen what the Vendor who runs this system has in their log files yet. 5 Can't say what the vendor is doing, but they are supposed to be doing offsite filtering back to 3 email scanning systems we run inhouse. Never heard of Declude before reading on this forum.
As we previously had quite a few issues upstream of the receiving mail server, we had to resolve them first. We are just now beginning to look at this receiving mail server. This Imail server also handles normal mail flow, which I understand seems to have some level of inconistent connectivity/availability issues in its current state. Our mail staff has been dealing with them for awhile on these issues and both groups seem to be somewhat polarized to each other. Everyone seemed to orginally beleive the problem was on our frontend equipment that our broadcasts go out thru, and it was, but as the those have been resolved and traffic gone out as it should, this fresh bottleneck has shown itself. Unfortunately this is one of those scenarios where all groups point the finger at the other group as having the issues. I am just looking to get a handle on the capabilities of this Imail product so that more directed questions can be presented and discussed with our vendor who is actually managing their system. Their system is located in Texas and we are in California. What is the server OS version? 2. What are you using for DNS? 3. After a few minutes, are all those messages setting in the Spool directory? 4. Can you post some of the logs, or send off list? 5. Are you using Declude, and if so, is there anything in the spool\overflow directory?
