Hi Lenny and other listers.

I've heard of some combinations of video drivers and sound setups that
cause JFW problems. Since each video setup is slightly different, JFW can
act in a unique manner.

I've heard problems with certain video adaptors and sound cards, but since
I haven't had these kinds of problems, I don't remember what they are.
Here's some information you can send to the list that might help others
figure out what might be happening.

What synthesizer are you using with JFW?
What is the video adaptor and sound adaptor Windows lists?

How much RAM is in the computer, along with the CPU speed?

How many applications are opened when the system crashes? Also, does the
system respond more sluggish before the crash? If this is the case, try
refreshing JFW with INSERT-ESC. I did encounter this problem myself.

Is there a specific thing the user is doing when the system crashes, such as
a keyboard command, using a specific program, or is there no pattern to the
crashes?

Sorry for the vagueness of the message, but being on a help desk that deals
with this kind of problem among sighted users, these are general questions
I'd ask them.

I hope this information will prove helpful for you.
