I have this problem as well! I rely on someone else to compile but luckily I use standard packages or someone is always good enough to do that for me!
More power to the list! Regarding the difficulty of setting LEAF up, sure it's a steep learning curve for a Linux newbie but I am living proof that it can be done with the support you guys provide!
