Unless you are Bates/Harvey/YR or whoever, you will never really know what is true or not.
There are debts and there are debts, just as there are statistics and there are statistics. I never considered that debt free statement in the context of reasonableness, why should I? It was mildly interesting and mildly encouraging for me, but whether it was reasonable or not never came into it. Harvey's statement, to the average bloke on the list (like me), seems to cover off all the issues raised in an entirely reasonable manner. Again, this is not about legal or illegal, dodgy or squeaky clean, who offered the best package for the club and who didn't.. it is about July 14th (or whenever it is) when we are sanctioned to buy and sell players again and whether a challenge (which would prevent that) is good for the club. If potential owners had cash to buy the club, they still have the cash to buy the club, or to invest in the club should they so wish. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:leedslist- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Sean Emmott > Sent: 28 June 2007 10:05 > To: Tim Leslie > Cc: 'leedslist' > Subject: Re: [LU] Statement on the club site regarding the potential > appeal > > On Thu, June 28, 2007 9:46 am, Tim Leslie wrote: > > Hmmmm, as a 'fence sitter' on the whole affair, this seems (Aside > from > > the sideswipes at Willis and his cronies) as Mark says, fairly > reasonable. > > It seemed fairly reasonable when Bates said lat autumn the blub would > be > debt free this summer... > > How can you tell what's true and what's lies? > > - Sean > > > _______________________________________________ > the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list > administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions > of contributors. > Leedslist mailing list > [email protected] > http://list.zetnet.co.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist > Join The Leeds United Supporters Trust at www.lufctrust.org _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
