Actually, from what I understand, the phone is not connected in
anyway to the internet access and can only be used within range of
your home like a normal phone line. You also use a regular phone
with Shaw Digital phone.

of calling friends/family in Canada and the US and not paying their
long distance portion of the phone bill.
It's actually a fantastic deal for anybody who regularly/frequently
makes long distance calls. I know it will save me close to $100.00 a
month at least for only a few dollars more than I am already paying
for basic service.
