I think the point that Gojko and Salua have made strongly, clearly, and truly, 
was that the working class, peasantry, and their revolutionary leaders were the 
ones who suffered most from the rise of Stalinist dictatorships. Marv makes an 
important historical omission. We know from history that the workers did rise 
up against Stalinism before state control was relaxed in 1953 in Berlin and in 
1956 in Hungary. We also know that the working class did not rise up to defend 
"really existing socialism" anywhere when the Soviet Union and the Eastern 
European Stalinist states collapsed.
