I believe that both RIck and Gar think that the elements of --- what Gar calls a "pluralist commonwealth" and what RIck calls "democracy at work" will grow and be BETTER than the capitalist mode of production ---
The POLITICAL STRUGGLE (now this is only "me" talking) probably would involve efforts by the capitalists to create rules that STYMIE the growth of the "new mode of production" ----- But of course I am speculating on how a transition to the new mode would actually come about --- I think the value of what RIck and Gar are doing is that it creates a vision --- back in the 1930s, communist parties believed Soviet central planning and collectivized agriculture were the wave of the future. BOY WERE THEY WRONG --- The idea that slow nationalization of the means of production (as in the British Labour Party approach after 1945e) was the way to go proved a false illusion --- So that's why I am impressed with "this" vision as presented in detail by Gar and Rick and in outline by me.
