Hi Carlos,
I also have the following in smb.conf:
socket options = TCP_NODELAY
read prediction = true
read size = 8192
getwd cache = yes
It gives me ~740 mbit transfer rate!
But:
I dont have a netbios name set
I have security = user
encrypted passwords = yes
And I have an Ariadne ('mk 1') using utp cabling, hub, windows NT server,
A4000T, 060 + PPC.
Please check wether your harddrive on the amiga is fast!! When using samba
from/to an old Fireball, the transferrate is much lower than using a
Barracuda, or even a Cheetah!
Good luck,
Roy
