Hi Hugh, On the "page" that I saw, under the BIOS Setup Utility, on the left side, it said ATA/IDE Configuration [enhanced]
On the right side of the page, it said All IDE resources disabled. It gave three options when you click on [enhanced] Disabled, Legacy, and Enhanced. They all said disabled on the right side of the page. There was no enable option. I did check under Device manager like you said, under IDE/ATA/ATAPI Controllers, and it looks like they're all enabled. So, maybe the BIOS is ok. I'm just trying to check everything possible. Thanks. I believe you can check this in Device Manager under IDE/ATA/ATAPI Controllers. It should do no harm to change these settings, as you can then reboot and change them back.
