 Yes, we got an external dvd drive and I can read the disc, I just can't
boot from it. The disc is ok.

Lisa, do you have access to another DVD drive so that you
can check the DVD disk and see if it is readable. . .
Recently I had two regular CDR drives that went bad and couldn't read
the CD. I placed the CD in another PC and the CD was readable and
changing out the CDR drive did the trick. Those CD drives were probably
a couple years of age.
