I don't think you comprehend the implications of 'divine rights' which means
that these despots are appointed by and supported by the church which
apparently received ten percent of the profits derived from slavery for it's
services to them. That relationship seems to still exist between the
republicans and the church today as it tries to roll us back to the days of
feudal (fascist) rule of capitalistic despots over slaves. These despots of
old were the capitalists of their day, where their 'divine rights' claims
were intended to quell the economic jealousies of the christian slaves and
keep them meek and productive.
