That seems to be a short-sighted and incomplete solution to me.

How many people do you think there are who are in a position to do these
things?

Yes.  If somebody who is good at that would step up that would be great.
If we can get enough $ to pay professionals to do this work that would
be great, too.

I don't think you have any idea how much work there is to do, or how much
work the current volunteers are doing.
