I am hoping for just the exact opposite. I am just looking for a
professional content creation tool, in which I can design things in Blender
(offline or locally) and then later upload (or "sync") the creation with an
online server. From my perspective, the whole point of the tool is so that
I could design content offline (and later "sync" with the server when I have
internet connectivity).

Some "talented craftsmen" simply want a Blender2Rex import/export tool and
enjoy working offline to design things (mobile users may not always have
internet connectivity and it's nice to be able to design things in Blender
and then later connect and sync with a server to put the offline creation
onto the server).

So if at all possible, I would like to see the ability to create offline
content, and simply have a "sync" button (to sync the content between
Blender and the OpenSim + ModRex server (if at all possible).

I don't mind having Naali installed (locally) and using it for viewing a
rendered object, but I would just prefer to not have to "sync" with the
server until the creation is done (especially not a persistent "always on"
real-time sync).

           Respectfully,

                 Mark

P.S. This has nothing to do with "removing people from grids". It has to
do with convenience (and the ability/convenience of being able to work
offline). Some people do like creating/working offline, and simply want a
Blender2Rex import/export tool that can "sync" with the server (once
internet connectivity is available).

P.S.S. As for all the "drama" about working with others online (and using
blender), it's fairly easy for users to develop content locally and simply
just press the "SYNC" button (as necessary) as they finish making changes in
Blender to upload the content to the server. From a technical perspective,
it would make more sense to allow developers the ability/convenience to work
OFFLINE (especially when they are mobile and don't have internet
connectivity) and then simply just press a "sync" button to upload the
changes to the server.

I would prefer to see a completely "offline" content creation tool (blender
with an import/export plugin), but I supposed it would be nice to have an
option where you could turn the "sync" button on (and leave it "always" on)
so that you could make changes in real-time. (Possibly in a future release
of the exporter). But as far as the first versions, I believe the ability
work offline (in Blender) would be one of the most important (and valuable)
features of such a tool. But I could see how someone might want a "sync"
button that could be toggled on/off as well.
