But SYMPOW is a standard package in Sage - see

If it was a case of porting sympow, I would just get on and do it. I've got
countless other packages working on Solaris by sorting out portability issues.
But SYMPOW's problems extend far beyond portability issues. That's just the tip
of the iceberg. Take a look at the source code, and you will see what I mean.
