It means : Vous pouvez aussi voir quand le message sera envoyé si il est

What does it mean: that I will have the ability to look a the time when
the message will finish after au specified time (seems useless for
me), or that if the message is finished after a specified time, I will
have to select another time to postpone ?

It's useless if you only use it without template macro %Postpone, but if
you finish a message after a specified date/time, it will simply be sent.

Could you maybe write to the support there and ask them to have a look

Tell them, there were DNS changes and maybe they should reload DNS.

You're right, I send them a message, this one is to confirm the update

I went to add an address to the address book by picking the address
book toolbar icon. When it opened I ended up the following looping AV.

I've the same AV with .13 since I install and use alpha .15, it only
happen with .13 and didn't loop.
I'm not sure it's only related to address book.

When downloading completes I get a warning from NOD32 antivirus saying
that it is probably a modified variant of Win32/Packed.Themida.

Same here, I extract and retest it, no more warning.
NOD32 version 3537 (20081020) NT

 Any ideas or suggestions?

Ignore it ?

this is very strange behaviour introduced in 4.0 and I am receiving
questions from users how to change this.

When You decrease width of editor window, Account will disappear first,
Priority and Confirm Receipt/Reading confirmation second and Message
 Format third.

Does somebody see a reason to hide these options if other less important
like PRIVACY setting, Spellchecker languages etc. are still visible?

the 'TVistaStatusBar' seems to hide it's popup menu from the center of the
bar but the 5 first 'modified', 'cursor', ..., language never change.

Interesting what you do there. Isn't the laptop connectable to the
Internet? Why don't you connect to the server and do the
 synchronisation?

I choose to have my own IMAP server (Hamster) ...

I'm accustomed to polling since I started FidoNet. POP3 worked in
this mode as well, and I see no benefit from another mode. I do not
like to rely on an open connection, I want to have needed data locally
and just sync it on demand. I only use IMAP instead of POP3 because I
 can have seperate folders there.

And nourish it from time to time through nearly 20 pop3 account and a
simple script. The server is at home on my 'big old BBS computer',
connected to an access point. My children have wireless towers with
IMAP clients, my wife and some friends, brothers ... a wireless laptop.
They use it at home or outside through vpn, I also manage for them
few mailing-lists (with less than 100 members each [friends, family,
business, ...]). As I am often on the road, I do the same with The Bat!
and IMAP.

IMO, you shouldn't be using IMAP. IMAP is about relying on an open
connection. The disconnect mode should be for exceptional
circumstances and not a routine. Routine disconnect operations are
 best dealt with using POP3.

It work also even if you're mostly disconnected ;)
Hamster take more than 4Go (50 .msg files) on the disk, TBbeta count
is : 53496 files.

DH Yes, that is a work-around, would have to add %ENCRYPTCOMPLETE. Two
DH drawbacks, the condition has to be a bit more complicated to allow for
DH independent signing and encryption. And you couldn't use the Memo
DH field for other purposes anymore.

Why ?, I still use it for some macro that search for a word at the
beginning of the line and return the end of the line or a default value,
they all look like those 2 ones:

,- [ GreetMemo ]
| %If:'%SETPATTREGEXP=(?is)^Greet (.*?)$%REGEXPMATCH=%ABOFromMemo'='':'%-
| Bonjour %ABOFromFirstName,%-
| ':'%-
| %SETPATTREGEXP=(?is)^Greet (.*?)$%REGEXPMATCH=%ABOFromMemo'%-
`-
,- [ QuoteStyleMemo ]
| %If:'%SETPATTREGEXP=(?is)^Quote (.*?)$%REGEXPMATCH=%ABOFromMemo'='':'%-
| %QInclude=Initiales%-
| ':'%-
| %SETPATTREGEXP=(?is)^Quote (.*?)$%REGEXPMATCH=%ABOFromMemo'%-
`-

I think that with a few more work and some delimiters, we can add
everything we want in this field ;)

You need to use a 'cmd' template like :

`-
that will be export to you command file using the

 [x:\path\pre_test_bat.cmd ]

[x] overwrite it

this command file will next be executed throw the
 [x] Run External Program
 [x:\path\pre_test_bat.cmd ]

Nope, work here.

TF Oops, I just remembered: do the betas print in colour now? I remember
TF this bug of only BW printing was mentioned; BW is a show-stopper and
TF must also be fixed before release.
Bug still here in 1.54 ßeta 30, I try to force the default font in the
print setup dialog but it generate a random access violation ;(
and, at least, it didn't change any thing - BW printing only.

Re: The Bat deletes attachments

MG Hi,

MG it would be nice if somebody would verify the following behavior.

MG A message with an attachment exists twice in two separate folders (this
MG not the problem but intentional), when one of it gets deleted (or moved?),
MG the attachment gets lost.

MG The account is set to store attachments in a separate folder and to delete
MG messages when they are removed from the Trash.

MG Could it be that when one copy of the message gets moved to the trash and
MG deleted the Bat is not aware of a second copy existing and simply deletes
MG the attachment?

I try it but couldn't agree with you:
here is how I test it:
1) create an account 'test_FA' with attachments stored in special directory
2) create 2 sub-folders in Inbox
   - Test_FA_1
   - Test_FA_2
3) add 2 filters to dispatch messages in sub-folders
4) sent 2 messages with the same file attached: ADRESSES.DOC
5) verify:
5.1) diff attachment ?
found 2 identical files in the Test_FA\attach directory:
 - ADRESSES.DOC
 - ADRESSES1.DOC
   in Test_FA\Inbox\Test_FA_1\Messages.tbb I found:
,- [ ]
| X-Content-File: C:\Program Files\The Bat!\Mail\Test_FA\Attach\ADRESSES1.DOC
| Content-Type: application/msword; name=ADRESSES.DOC
| Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
| Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=ADRESSES.DOC
'-
   in Test_FA\Inbox\Test_FA_2\Messages.tbb
,- [ ]
| X-Content-File: C:\Program Files\The Bat!\Mail\Test_FA\Attach\ADRESSES.DOC
| Content-Type: application/msword; name=ADRESSES.DOC
| Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
| Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=ADRESSES.DOC
'-
5.2) del attachment:
I delete the message in Test_FA_1 and remove it from Trash, the only
file that was remove from the attachment directory was ADRESSES1.DOC

1.54 Beta/14 Attachement problem

2001-12-01 Thread Alain de Gevigney

Hello TBBetaListers,

I was unable to see the 'beat14.jpg' file attached at this msg:

 From: Steffen Steiner [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 Date: 30 Nov 2001, 19:48:58
 Subject: What does this mean?

looking in the messages.tbb file, I found that the attachment is
store in the attachment directory of the incoming account and not in
the final (filtered) one.
 X-Content-File: C:\Program Files\The Bat!\Mail\Free Alain\Attach\beat14.JPG
but this account F/A property was set to default:
C:\Program Files\The Bat!\Mail\TheBat\Attach

The problem occur when a filter is apply on a message, with an
attachment, stored in an account that keep them in a special
directory.
