(313) The Escape Velocity
Hey 313, Its bound to get a thread eventually. Worth clocking on Axis, techno magazine and expounded digital series. It is 2021, I haven't got to grips with the downloads yet until autumn I reckon - heavy volumes out already more coming. I'm planning on delving in like sci fi novels. Chinese artist, Orlando Voorn and some new names I haven't come across before starters for 10 https://www.axisrecords.com/escape-velocity-magazine/issue-two/ My father used to have bookshelves of half-decent american scifi, the prolificness of Axis' ASD catalogue takes me back.. Re: New 313-relevant stuff
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) became Strand which then became self-aware as Harbonder(?). There used to be a flash animation to prove it. I used to listen to the Messages series while reading The Republic, very melodic but file under difficult to mix to. Links too to Puzzlebox, Hubble ep. Enjoying the new Mirror Touch btw, file between Digital Soul, End to End, Metamorphic. Tbh I prefer Suburban Knight's last ep on detroittechno, seditious single track. Helps with the politic. Yeah, we're getting there again where its those by the wayside items that just appear out of nowhere. Hi there 313, Anyone been scoping on this weird Mancunian 'Ourtime' label at all? Picked up a nice short lp Unconditional and a trancey release by 'Stark' called Balance from VU prior an Internet refit. Internet refits are generally caused by change, techno lists don't generally get on with change until after it happens, but then Jeff Mills is ok again, etc. For my own part, there's a nice almost hiphop number I wouldn't have minded a bit of messin' with, tbh/f. Also, lookout for Marc Mac with Jah-Maye-Kah peace, C -- becaus..

Re: the 313 hyperreal synth discussion
Hi Hue, Jodie, list First of all, apologies for being cryptic and obtuse. Second of all slightly retarded. I guess my point is that (although admittedly yes this is not a synthesizer product) this is a fine example of techno american engineering craftsmanship. These bags have lifetime guarantee, transporting rekids from gig to gig. These are created by my man Case and his machines. Not quite the same as squeezing 60 records into a hip hop joint - will purchase the right sp-1200 whatevs evetually but rupert rosinthrope samples are my key concern. Afterall, who samples the beatles? So yes, I'm retarded as this is a synth thread but I'm not derailing. It just didn't look like the thread plugged in, get me? Perhaps it's a slow burner but we can all see that long and successful synth threads don't necessarily survive simply on the basis of starting them with the correc rule set, despite intentions righteously observed. I guess I was being contentious because, Denise aside, it is nice to hear from a certain professor David Powers that he is still in the material domain having posted perhaps unplugging the system some time back. Why not cross-pollinate 2 threads? Third and forth, anyone fancy sprinkling some afghan red seal into a little strand thread or new anthony shakir rumours business? I for one was prob being a bit too trigger hippy whilst awaiting one of those very very rare end of year top 20 20 from emerging and recalling it taking me all the way back to what had not just passed us all by. Forthly, as an environmental programmer, my stratavarus keys were lost on me in that my machine is the dancer. Any chance of learning the rules of how to setup a footwork thread Barny? Am I koalified to be this contentious? Well I studied evolutionary and adaptive systems at sussex. When I was a kid I had a Betamax. Why. Because we couldn't afford VHS and Rambo was eighteen-rated anyway. Dude, finding those cassettes was a motherf6ckR. peace C p.s. thread away I'm no dictator-anarchist, you've clearly got a few unplayed cards if you wanna start a synth thread Wilma be my guest xx p.p.s how do you make that London bruk sound anyway? Maybe the choice of words "perspective" may have been in some ways incomplete/misleading, however the intent was understood by me to be one of a noble and humble nature. Most people don't have the time in their modern life to collect all of the reading documents and take the deeper dive necessary to understand any subject. Unfortunately, not all techno people are academics-but many are curious, which is a great trait for anyone academically-minded. That said, I LOVE Dr. Denise, and you all should know that she 'keeps that same energy' for EVERYTHING...as Ethnomusicology is also her life's work. If many had as much passion and persistence to rely on, we'd all probably do much more than we already do. Fire and emotional content aren't easy things to channel. It's taken me years to learn how to choose when and where I call out things I don't like. I've recently done an interview with Peter Kirn and while I had some opportunity to say whatever I chose, I realized that denigrating people can be messy. DWELLER, as a whole, is a useful resource and may get one more person to understand better the history of this music and have a better appreciation for what makes it special and influential. We must all learn together, those who haven't learned the story should, and those who are attempting to be helpful should be encouraged to find other resources that could be more relevant if the ones they share are in some way not. I'm going to say in closing that we all on this list have a duty to understand one another. We have to come together like buttcheeks instead of sniping at each other like the outside world does on a daily basis. Reset EP
There comes a dawning in the mind. A realization that of the greatest minds of a nation, a simple lottery between two stooges is upsetting. Flying Lotus emerges in my mind. A time for creativity and crysalization. Rodney Brooks on robotics. A time not for angry music but for remixing Marvin Gaye. Meanwhile, it is only fair to note that in the white world there is the tree yggdrasil. Tree talk has told us that it is the same tree the upside-down one. That if you live under an oak you must worship it. Every uniform has a hierarchy, every hierarchy has a limit, and above all limits we find the aesir. The prisoner, again. Above the kkk is the spirtual worl and above the wurl come sometimes manifestations from other music. Where would America be without trade, and textiles and black music? Perhaps Oberon was born into this world. Perhaps the heighest height of the faerie kingdom, of dryads of aelf did visit us. And he came to us, from faerie and we trod him down. And I understand now. Hi Andrew, Tbh you could have simply told me that this was one continuous track from beginning to end and I would believe. Nice selection of PQM btw, the sample's evocative of a Flynn and Flora track from my Bristol days. Re: Keep it real (and on topic)
Hey, Thanks Martin, Conspiracy Tapes making sense right now, appreciating the efforts and research. There's a techno ethos, acheivable without mixes and fixes, searching for the perfect beat. The beginning of the lockdown was kind of sinister, so the first three matched the vibe. Bit of a rough road for Brian Harvey though, eh? As for beef with Denise, this place was the perfect void. Isn't it refreshing when someone doesn't mind speaking their mind. Live For Friction? No-thinking sound system? Imo the list fails more because posters worry about the thought police ramifications when they step up like Denise wasn't afraid to do. Kudos And favourite logo - Bush. None of the poster get past the calligraphy four-four. $0.02 C On 2020-02-27 11:02, mar...@dustscience.com wrote: Hey 313, Here’s a list of mixes of things we’ve been listening to in the studio, we usually do one mix a month of stuff we like. https://soundcloud.com/the-black-dog/sets/listening-series This is a list of things we did while involved in the Conspiracy World, we had to leave due to the worries about mental health and some of the very dark people involved. One hour pieces on different subjects, free to download of you can pay over at our stores if you wish. https://soundcloud.com/the-black-dog/sets/the-conspiracy-tapes-2018 Right now we are recording stuff and making sound packs for Ableton. As for what’s happening on the list, it’s kinda sad. I’ve seen one person destroy place like UK Dance and The Big Chill before, it would be a shame for it to happen here. m

Re: Mad Mike Tresor interview
All I know is that Mark Force called it some time back on twitter. Tbf it does get London irritating when your folks think you go out for red bull and vodkas every time you party scene. That said, if I was crouching round Standing Rock with only coffee and cigarettes, I might try that irn bru chit or whatevs. I don't even know what taurine is ffs.
