As a temporary work around is import that CI's into BMC.Core:BMC_ "CI form"
via import tool and use the Dataset is "ADDM.Asset"

Another workaround will be, Delete the few CI's into CMDB base form and re
run the job and let me know the result.

SLA ISSUE while downgrading the priority.

Hi Team,

I have created the SLA Configuration for incidents and changes. We have
faced the problem with below scenario.

Created High incident ticket. The response time 5 min. With in this time no
taken responsibility so it's breached. After the breach we have downgraded
High to Low. High SLA's detached and Low SLA's attached but the breach
symbol is not modified from incident ticket left navigation pane.

Kindly advise to fix this issue.

Is it possible to make a Responded date field is editable mode.? I have
checked th information Incident Rules form and tried to edit responded date
field as no to yes. Tried to edit the date into that field. No luck.

Any way to make it as read/write mode. Hope this field depends SLA. Please
share your input to fulfill this requirement only on configuration side.

CMDB SP1 Upgrade...

Hi All,

We have current architecture like 2 ARS and 2 Mid Tier. 2 ARS pointing the
same database.

Recently, we have done CMDB SP1 upgrade in one node. Hope, DB also
upgraded. Another node is not upgraded for remedy testing reason.

My question, what are the issues will face if one node not upgraded to CMDB
SP1. kindly help to get this information.

Remedy Version: 8.1  Database: Oracle.

I have taken a log. In that, the Filter
SHR:LHP:InitSvc_GetServiceContextFlag throwing an error. This filter refers
the "CMDB.SC:ServiceContextAPI" form. If i go to that form and search the
data i can see the error information like below.

8760) <<< server name >>>(9556) BMC.ARDBC. Atrium.ServiceContext RPC
:Miscellaneoustli error - systeme error (Connection Refused).

Have some queries to install Two mid ties in the single server. Our Project
environment need to install mid tier. Existing server already having one
Tomcat and it's depending the BO analytics report service.

If we install one more tomcat for Mid tier, is it create any issue?

Issue has been identified. It's an OOB issue from remedy 8.1.00. It was
rectified into 8.1.01.

Work around will be, don't use " " character from Incident Notes field.

Hello Rebacca,

we have done this upgrade. before doing this activity we need segregate
from server group to individual kserver and Comment the FTS PLugin from
ar.cfg and armonitor.cfg.

We haven't done for CMDB suite. We Can help for this activity. Please let
us know the error message if any issue due to installation.

Hi Shashi,

Can you please one dummy record from Asset form from Computer System. Take
a report from User Tool and check the Class Id field. The Same record will
popup into BMC_ComputerSystem from CMDB form.

if nothing happen,thn Atrium console and delete the record from Purge job
and do the same activity. it will show the record with that class.

field. Please cross check the server name into path as per ar.cfg.

if any wrong, change the correct one. if not fixed, change the path and try

Issue has been fixed. arserver.exe file path having an issue and that exe
also corrupted. we have copied the information from another server and
pasted into error page.

Again, installer has been re runned. Finally, it worked.

My remedy ARS environment has been changed to 8.1.01 from 8.1. After this
activity, I'm facing below error.

I have wrote 2 filters. 1st filter showing below.  Run if empty and  set
field I mentioned below qualification 'Long group name' =$Support
Company$+"->"+$Assignee organization$+"->"+$Assignee Group$ and auto map
table declared as temp =group I'd from group form.
can able to see that value into that field.but, mail notification not send.
Notify action, can see the mechanism drop down value as email, alert,cross
reference and user profile default. present , I have chosen as email. do I
need to change anything from mechanism drop down? Notify a tion can ableto
see  only 2 drop down .please advise. how to fix this.

Assignment Group Email Notification Trigger...

Hi Team,

I have created workflow when the assignment group will change that time
need to send group notification. created 2 filter.

1. 1st Filter is used to get the GROUP ID from the group form and pasted
into temp field. Used below qualification.

 'Long Group Name' = '$Support Company$'+"->"+$Assignee
Organization$+"->"+$Assignee Group$.Set field action "temp field"= $Group
ID$.

2. 2nd filter is used to send the notification based on notify action. The
notification will send to that "temp field" (Group ID).

1st filetr worked fine and 2nd filter is not firing the notification to
GROUP ID.

Please advise, my scenario is right?

changes from one group to other. In OOB Task having an issue with email
notification. if the task has been created by task template(Single template
multi purpose, so assignment field is an empty) with out assignment fields
that task went to"Staging" status.When the appropriate incident went from

entry.

HARDWARE SYSTEM COMPONENT CI upload

Hi Team,

Facing a  problem with UDM upload for  Hardware system components CI list.
Have 1000 records to upload .I have checked the spreadsheet from BMC
Template. There I can't  see the HARDWARE SYSTEM COMPONENT template.

In asset console, the following way we can see this hardware system
component form

Asset Mgmt console-> Manage CIs->system Component-> Hardware System
Component.

We can go CMDB FORM using BMC.Core:BMC_HardwareSystemComponent.Need to
upload that 1000 records into this form.

How to use UDM to upload. Can you please help and advise.

DMT not working, showing as In Progress.

Have used the DMT TOOL to upload the bulk data. In that Load showing as In
Progress and the remaining validate and promote showing as queued.

Have checked with system setting, showing the correct path.

have tried with -t in armonitor log in the place of arplugin.exe -t. but no

Remedy Application Service showing in Submitter and Last Modified Field

Team,

Having a big issue in my remedy environment with  "Remedy Application
Service" and  " AR_Escalator".

Believe, it's an Out Of Box behaviour. Scenario: 1, if we reject the change
from CHG:Infrastructure Change form. The work info submitter field showing
as Remedy Application Service.

It's creating a confusion who reject the change. Have tried with logs
enable with Escalation, ACTL and FLTR.

Do we have any option to fix this change via configuration work? Kindly
advise.

Our remedy web URL is "remedy.upc.biz". when we try this URL it showing
like Tomcat is running. Instead of this, enter like "
remedy.upcoming.biz/arsys" its pointing to login page.

How to point the remedy login page with out using the "/arsys". Can you
please advise?

Change Approvals not working properly...

In our arerror.log file, getting the below error info. when I will get this
error that time we are facing approval flow is not working properly.

Once, the AR Service has been restarted approval flow is working fine.

390635: AR System server terminated when a signal/exception was received by
the server (ARNOTE 20).
390635: AR System server terminated-fatal error occurred in ARSERVER(ARNOTE
21)

After this error, arservice is working fine. This issue attacks only change
approval issue.

start at Assigned status and stop at In Progress status.

SLAs attached but not started .

Hi Team,

I am facing an issue with SLM.We have created the SLA for Change
Management. Here, the SLA`s are attached but not started.

Have written the qualification as

start- Change request Status = 3 ie., planning in progress.
stop- Change request Status = 4 ie., school dule for review.

Goal and Hours as 100 and 50.

Can you please help to fix this issue.

Team,

Recently faced the same. followed felow points then i got BMC support.

1. Taken arstartup log to check the time consuming.
2. sent the ar.conf file. BMC recommended to change some configuration
setting.
3. Apart from remedy end, need a support from network and SQL Team.
4. please  check our BMC communities for this KB Article.

Routed from secured to unsecured web url.

Hi team,

Recently, im getting our remedy web url access routed from secured to
unsecured i.e., https to http. If we connect via original web url not load
balancer it's working fine. Issue only occured in Load Balancer.

Can any of us help to fix this issue.

Remedy version: 8.1
Tomcat Apache: 6.0

Caught Exception issue...

Team,

Recently, facing the lot of issues related to  "Caught Exception". tried
with mid tier flush and advised to flush the local browser cache and
restarted with mid tier.but, no luck.

Error starts with  "Caught exception" and error with some different message
like mobj, t.resultlist,Vcolins etc.,

Can you please provide the guidence to fix this issue?

Remedy version 8.1
OS Windows server 2012.
Tomcat 6.0

Do we have any check list to maintain the remedy service will up with out
facing any issues.

Present, we have prepared the list monthly activities for remedy service.

1. Restart the remedy services monthly once.
2. before restart take a back up logs for ARS and mid tier. etc.,

Like wise we need the check lists . Can any of you share your thoughts.

bit different. have searched how to enable or disble this logs.cant find
it. vl not disable this logs. its for understanding purpose.

ARERR 45281 not allowing to create a task from incident.

Hi Team,

When i am creating the task from incident that time i am getting below
error.

The incident number is required for this function to work. To generate an
incident number, select a  customer  ARERR45281.

this issue is occuring only in best practise view. i can able to create a
task in  classic view with out hurdles.

guys, can you please share the solution to fix this issue.

into server there is no DMT path.

where i can get the DMT Exe? Searched into Products and Patches from Bmc
support. There i can see ITSM SUITE and ARSERVER SUITE..

Please share the link and file name to download the DMT 8.1 exe.

Remove test company from flash board...

Hi Team,

I am having an issue with remedy flash board. Default, the remedy having
test companies. i hav removed that from remedy. but, i dono how to remove
from flash board. it,s available into overview console. The diagrmatic
representation shows that test company name. how to remove that . please
advise.

Remedy Version:8.1.

Arserver.exe include that plug in. if u killed that arserver.exe, it will
restart the plug in too

Monitor Ticket Status

Team,

I faced different question from my project.

The scenario is if the end user creating a ticket via email, the ticket has
been created. He/ She need to see the ticket status. Remeber, don't have
remedy access. IS it possible to see the ticket work info and status.

We have one option i.e., Email Notiifcation. Except that any option ? if
any idea hit your mind, please share the detail.

Remedy UAT Refreshment...

Printer Issue.

Hi Guys,

I am having an issue, when i am clicking the "Print" Option into "Overview
Console" link. It showing the following error. Can any one help to resolve
this issue.


"Error during processing: ARERR[9260] Report location is missing from
report settings configuration page. Please see your administator".

I have a quick question. If our remedy service went to down, how to
configure the remedy auto notification to all remedy members. I wan t the
answer with out BPPM configuration. Can you please advise to help and
resolve this issue.

Do we have any option into Remedy mail box exchange server.

Remedy Login Account

Hi Team,

At present, we are using ARS 7.1. We are not using the ITSM. As per our
client scenario, they want to update the remedy login infront with his/her
domain name. For Example : if the remedy login as test they want to change
as domain\test.

I hope, this will done by DMT. I have worked with 7.5 not 7.1 .

My question is 7.1 version will work with DMT. can you please share your
advise.
