My english got better very slowly, and I got pretty angry at myself pretty often, because I wanted to learn the language faster than I did. regarding to the grammma, well, I dont care. Chris, I have been and am a paid Sendspace user, and I think the advantages of Sendspace outweigh the bad. Now as I understand it you are running Sendspace as a free user, and that is why you are running into some of the limitations you are. That said, I think for $9.99 a month you get a really good file sharing service that beats Dropbox hands down.For one thing lets talk about space. If you share a lot of files regularly the way Blind Mice do instead of the 2 GB you are given with Dropbox for free Sendspace gives the paid user nearly unlimited space to store and share files. I think the most I had on their at any given time was about 100 GB which is much more useful if someone wants to share a lot of files.I dont know why the Wizard isnt very accessible on Mac OS, but on Windows it is totally accessible. You can create folders with it, upload files with it, and of course download multiple files at a time with it. Unfortunately, as you found out th
 e Wizard is only really for paid users though.The thing is as you are likely to need to download many files at a time the Wizard can do that making the downloading of a lot of content faster than with Dropbox. Plus you can pause and resume downloads which makes it possible to stop a download for the night, power off your computer, and resume where you left off the next day. This is obviously a major advantage over dropbox if someone isnt using a third-party download manager which can pause and resume downloads.As Dark pointed out it is fairly accessible as far as their website goes. If you have a free link to a file it is still easy enough to find the download link for the file where as other file sharing services have all kinds of adds, counters, and other stuff in the way so that it makes it a real bear to find the place to start the download using a screen reader. Sendspaces free download pages have some adds and stuff, but nothing like some of their com
 petition.Finally, as for the speed restriction I can and do see why that might be an annoyance for a free user, but seriously I think you are being a bit impatient and a little petty here. If you really absolutely dont want to download the entire series at 80 KB the only thing you can do is pay Sendspace for one month of service, it is only about #$9.99 for a months service, and you can get the entire series without any restrictions. Dark, just a slight note. Disney Land is in California. Disney World is in Florida. I know people often get those two confused so I thought Id point that out as I think you got them confused by calling Disney World Disney Land in your post above.In any case I agree a lot of those rides like Small World really could use some audio description, since some of those rides have a lot of detail that is often missed when someone cant see the displays. There are the various animatronics like the children singing and playing dressed in their native garb. There are various buildings from their various countries that could use being described. Most displays have animals native to that country as well. In various displays they add Disney characters to the scene which usually fits into the Small World theme in some way. Hello,Sorry, but I totally agree with chris.I have two more stupidities to tell you against all these download sites. It doesnt concern only sendspace but also 4shared, mega, rapidshare, etc... they are all doing the same anyway. Myself neither, I dont understand what people so much love about them and why they keep using them. First: when you want to download a file, they dont propose you directly a zip, mp3 or whatever, no, no. You must download a stupid wizard that will in turn download your file. Fondamentally idiot !Secondly, and this was by far the most irritating,as well as being a warning for compulsive downloaders: their fing wizard installs by default a lot of stupid toolbars, without always asking you for doing it, and, more importantly, often contain viruses/trojans/spywares (at least on windows). Yes, you ahve well read, there are malwares in these wizards, so be very careful, and its not rare at all. Be careful even when downloading perfectly legal stuff.Good old methods are still working as well, and even much better.You can now find quite easily free webhosts or only for a few dollars, and the space isnt as limited as in the past: its not so hard to get 10 GB nowadays.Register to a webhost, upload your stuff by FTP, share a direct link, and voilà ! Well Ive finally tried this one out. I rather like the mix of music and the idea behind the game, though I do wish you could skip some of the voice sequences sinse while I understand the game was aimed at kids having to be constantly told in a very breezy tone you didnt hit any animals was getting a bit irritating when I wanted to see the next level. on the other hand I love the mix of music in the game used as indicators, (nice to drive along to everything from Baroque classical guitar to string quartet, and electronica, that definitely suits my own eclectic taste).The one major problem Im having however is controlling the dam car and I suspect this is due to how Im holding the Iphone sinse the instructions I didnt particularly find specific on how to hold the thing. I tried holding the phone perpendicula to the floor as usual and then rotating my hands downwards, so that the angle of the phone as compared to t
 he floor and ceiling increased as I turned, that did nothing, I then tried rotating my hands on the horizontal plane, keeping the phone screen upwards but rotating so that the home button on the right moved towards or away from me, like rotating a disk, that didnt seem to work either. The only way I could get the dam rotation to work was holding the phone on edge at 90 degrees with the screen facing me and rotating like a real steering wheel in a car. the problem however is that though this works fine some of the time, at other points (I suspect when the phone isnt exactly in the right position), for some weerd reason the controls would not work at all and my car would just helplessly roll on in one direction and boing off fences! . That is why my scores on levels range from absolutely perfect, to a zero (or at least as close to zero as you seem to be a
 ble to get in the game.I hope my explanation of what I tried here makes sense.I suspect Im doing something wrong with holding tthe thing, I admit spacial coordination is not my strong point, so Id appreciate knowing exactly how I should be holding and rotating the phone sinse the tutorial just said have the home button on the right and rotate which didnt particularly help much given Ive not played any rotational games before.I also would love to see this game updated to work with the gyroscope the way papasangre2 didd, sinse physically turning my body to steer the car (or even better using my swivvle chair), would be rather good fun and also make considderably more sense to me.Sinse however it doesnt have a gyro mode and were left with rotation Id appreciate some explanation as to what exactly Im doing wrong hereURL: ht

Personally, Im in the camp of Chris, Quentin and Sebby. Downloading from sendspace really sucks, and as far as paying $10 a month for a cyberlocker that could, at any time, shut down because of copyrighted content being uploaded there (see how many people lost personal files on megaupload when that went away) I would rather pay $10 for 100 gigs of dropbox storage, even less for google drive and get a service that not only lets me share files with people but is also integrated much more tightly with the OS and mobile devices (sendspaces iOS app is only available if you jailbreak, while drive, dropbox, one drive all have apps). Another thing you should look for is a site which lets you pay and then download from multiple cyberlockers. We have such a thing in Poland. The way it works is you sign up, then you either pay a monthly rate to download a certain amount of data if you use it often, or you just pay for data which will never e
 xpire and use it when ever you need. Data here is really cheep, you download at full speed, you can use a download accelerator, it supports over 50 sites, and you can schedule for the files to become available at night, which will deduct only half the actual file size from your account. So Id really rather pay $10 for 50 gigs I can use anywhere rather than $10 that I can only use with one particular site. dark: keep the phone with the screen facing you at 90 degrees, the home button to your right. when you have to steer just raise your right hand so your phone tilts. what Ive observed is that you have to steer very much to take effect, I even turned my phone in the other direction, with home to my left tfor the steering to take effect. As someone who is in no position to start a monthly subscription service, either Sendspace or Dropbox, I mostly use Sendspace when my dropbox gets disabled for too much traffic. Bandwidth and filespace are not free. It would be interesting, but this would mean that the player of the loaded units wouldnt be able to control his/her own units anymore, since the flying machine or whatever unit is used to load them, would be controlled by the allied. That makes me think of how nice it would be if it were possible to chat with your allied during a game. Would that be possible to implement SoundMUD?When Im using JAWS and launch the game, it immediately sticks to SAPI - yes, Ive ScreenReaderAPI enabled.Lately, Ive played with three ally computers against four ally computers as the other team on a private server. I chose the map - ONJ1 -, selected a different race for each of us and started the game. I set all computers to defensive. Nevertheless, they started attacking each other quite soon. I presume this was because they all wanted to gather the anyways very few resources. After the fight had obviously calmed down, I checked what was going on an
 d realized that some computers, which were of a weaker race, stopped doing anything. They just stopped recruiting workers and soldiers and without units, they couldnt even do anything else too. The strongest races - but also only some of them - kept working though. Adiluralbaev, originally I had planned to add Tide into the main Swamp game, but I ran into huge problems along the way. The code for Swamp Tide didnt do well with the gamer account update. In fact I managed to break the Tide game pretty badly while attempting to change the code over to the new system. Well I havent had much success with installing ubuntu alongside windows. I installed ubuntu alongside windows with the default settings, that went fine. My system ran linux by default. But while I was using it someone told me that linux and windows cant coexist on partitions because of the file system difference. Windows uses ntfs, and ubuntu uses extended volume, and I was told that those cant get along on the same hard drive. As I still need to use windows, I tried booting into windows, didnt work. So in an effort to get windows back I loaded the talking windows preinstallation environment and then launched disk management. In addition to the c: drive and system reserved partition created by windows, I found 2 unnamed partitions. When I hit the delete key on them it said the partitions were not created by windows. Seeing that windows and Linux couldnt coexist, I thought that if I could delete the 2 unnamed partitions not created by windows, I may ge
 t windows back. So I did that. After shutting down talking windows preinstallation, I tried starting my system up again. Windows wouldnt boot. I tried it at least 5 times and 15 minutes of waiting gave me no good outcome. And no, I do not have 2 systems so I cant dedicate one to windows and one to linux. Sure, I could get a usb external drive that I can boot off of, but that defeats the purpose as ubuntu is supposed to be free. Is the talk about ubuntu and windows not getting along true, and how am I to avoid that in the future? Im nearly ready to give ubuntu another try, because the o s itself isnt bad at all, but I need to make sure that I can switch easily between the two. Well, not necessarily. This room can be for trying alphas or some sort of rough copy of the game that is playable but not official, but *only* if the developer chooses to do that. As Phil didnt choose to put some test version on here, you cant necessarily just go here and ask for one. If a dev feels he/she wants the community to test a rough version of the game for bug reporting etc, then they can release it here. Nin I agree. But that doesnt just apply to hebrew... but to any language thats not related to whatever your native language is. As an example... as a native English speaker, learning anything in a language that doesnt have roots in latin or other indo-european languages without a proper base in the grammar of that language would be very difficult if not impossible. For example, though I speak Japanese now, I would never have presumed to learn it by comparing a book in both English and Japanese without knowing anything about Japanese grammar because of how radically different it is from English. And yooure also correct in that sometimes translations can be very different to reflect culture. Everyone will have a biased opinion... but the Greek Bible I believe is talking about the Bible used by the Greek Orthadox churc
 h... which I believe is similar to the traditional Christian Bible. As for the New Testament... it was written in all three of those languages... Hebrew, Greek as well as Aramaic. But whichever languages it was written in, they share the common message of christs salvation and his love for us... which is the most important thing. my guess is that there was an inaccuracy in the AI directions that the crazy mod developers wrote, not a bug in the game. I know that the normal non-crazy mod default AI instructions had a hole in them that could cause the AI to stop recruiting units too. Thats odd, it worked fine for me straight away with JAWS.Transportation of allied units sounds like a good idea, but somebody could really mess up your strategy if they did it without the concent of the other person, so maybe not unless we get either a chat function or an accept/decline system. This of course is easily solved by a program like TeamTalk, but not everyone has that or the other person. Hello.[[wow]], those terms of service sound harsh.Yeah, I am not giving those greedy people $10 just so I can download a bunch of free mp3 files.Yes, I am 16 so dont have complete control over money.As for Dropbox taking down links, that is false as far as I know.I create my direct public links from the dropbox desktop application and as far as I know, the links do not expire unless you delete/rename/move the file to another location.In contrast, I have noticed that sendspace links expire after a certain period of time.So, I guess having a free sendspace account means nothing? Hello,If you would like to see the kind of games we are uploading, you can look at the creating .exe files of pygame projects thread, Ive posted a pre-alfa version of my game for people to test with the compression software so people can download it and fiddle with it in order to help in creating a .exe of the game.That is the most you will see on this forum. As for speech, It kind of grows on you and Ive found it is quite nice after a couple hours of game play.More suggestions, better the game is and more people want it! That means people are excited!Now, for a really wild idea!For those people who dont like space games, what about something like darkover where there is a spacestation for people to sell goods to, but those who live on the planets dont have anything to do with the ships and live in a culture where bows and swords are the weapon of choice.You could let people play in like an RPG style on their world of choice, on the world, people would be able to farm, be an assassin, create carvings, mine, be a blacksmith, and not only could they sell products on their world or to other players, but they can sell stuff to ship merchants and book passage on ships to go to different worlds.Then you hit everything people are wanting in a game in one go!I would say that BGT may become 
 a little limited though if you wish to do the above things. I would suggest moving to C++ directly or go to python with the eventual integration of C++ modules for the complex stuff like collision detection or server control.It may be advantageous to get more programmers! kamochek,I did post Sarah entering the wand shop.I have several people doing the voice of madam rosmerta and have not decided which one to use.I do like the idea of increasing the echo in some places. Kamochek, as a developer let me just say that if a game is not ready for release it is not ready for release. there are reasons why a game may be unsuitable for public use, and releasing it too prematurely can cause endless aggravation both for the player and the developer. Asking a developer to release a game in an uncompleted state often times will not be something you would want to play in any case.Let me give you an example here. there is a major bug in Mysteries of the ancients I have not fixed yet, and since I know it is there it would be irresponsible for me to release it in that condition.However, lets assume for arguments sake you asked for that game, I gave it to you knowing that bug was in there, it doesnt take much imagination to figure out what would happen next. You would write me back about the bug I mentioned, ask me why you get that bug, and if I say I knew it was in there you would want to know why I didnt fix it etc. I would
  then have to go through the tedious task of explaining the obvious that you wanted the game as is, and you gave me no time to debug the game properly. Now, imagine how complex and frustrating that can get if 100 people download the game all wanting to know the same thing, and not understanding that I had my reasons for not releasing it in the first place but some people were impatient and wanted it right now finished or not.Moral of the story here is dont ask for games that are not complete. Yeah, you might get it early, yeah, you might have something to play. However, if a developer is holding back on a release you can be pretty sure they have a good reason for doing so, and trying to make them release it earlier than intended may result in a very buggy or untested version that will not work as you had expected. Moreover a developer may get a reputation as a sloppy or incompetent programmer because none of the normal rules of testing software apply when they jus

After some more testing, I agree that the supply and demand should fluctuate a little less. I came across situations where I bought goods, flew 3 squares to a somewhat more detached planet, couldnt sell anything, and went back to the planet where I bought those goods from, only to discover that the demand is now very high so I can essentially sell the stuff I bought on that same planet, for a much higher price than I bought it for. Of course it doesnt happen all the time, but itd be nice if it was a bit more consistent.Also... I wonder if, for example, entertainment systems are actually always in higher demand on the more barren planets as is said in the documentation like paradise station? Ultradude, I am pretty sure adding audio description to dark rides should be fairly easy. All they would need is a pair of wireless headphones, and a recording that starts when the ride starts describing the scenery as the ride passes it. i Phil. i wouldnt pay too much attention to the potter world stuff sinse while its likely a lot of fun, its probably based much more on the films and as we know they did mess around with things occasionally. to be honest Id actually suggest grimold place and ministery of magic could potentially be full scale games in and of themselves, given both are very huge places with all sorts of environments and magical artifacts to play with and characters to interact with, also, sinse one is the Hq of the order of the pheanix and a house full of dark pureblood magic to boot, and the other is pretty much the wizarding government I cant really see plausable reasons for Sarah good just wandering into them off hand, its not after all like theyre just open for business like Grigats or the leaky caldren. For London I could imagine it being added under very specific circumstances and being quite a fun minigame. For exampl
 e perhaps you run into deadelus diggle in the leaky caldren who tells you that a salamanda accidently got in the way of some of his purple sparks and asks you to please catch it before the muggles notice and he gets in trouble with the ministery. I could imagine quite a fun minigame running up and down the streets of londonn with various muggles hovvering around attempting to track down the salamanda, with the catch that if you did by mistake use any spells in front of the muggles on street youd get severely in trouble. This would also let you include some of the muggle repelling chalms mentioned in Half blood prince in the game, as well as have a quite different soundscape for people to explore, namely a fairly modern everyday city with traffic etc. Heck, you could end that section with a visit to Kings cross and platform nine and three quarters, which amusingly actually does! exist (i know Ive seen the platform sign and have a photo of myself

I will agree with Tom here. When developers want to post public beta versions of games they will do so themselves, indeed that was part of the purpose of the New releases room. Earlier versions than that such as alphas are actually often more of a chore than a pleasure to play, which is why early testing is more of a job than a way of getting the game for free. to give you an example, I alpha tested the very early version of entombed. In the first alpha there were no enemies, and all you did was walk around and open doors, also the wind sounds hadnt been sorted correctly and there was no way to tell where you ahad been, there was also no music in the game. In the second alpha there were goblins to fight, but only goblins, and only one weapon and one type of armor, also there were some hilarious bugs, for example i once fought a goblin whos hand I managed to sever with my sword yet who went on fighting me, and indeed in the next fight even after i k
 illed him I got a second attack message that hed hit me with his sword again . nEITHER Neither of those versions was even possible to complete, indeed the first version that had a vague completion message wasnt until the game went into beta and more than about 5 people had played it. @Arjan I noticed the supply and demand fluctuations, but with only a few planets in the game the thing has to be fairly unstable otherwise youd not be able to make a prophet. Perhaps if more planets get added to the game this is something that would need balancing out. I do totally agree about planet descriptions though and making the planets as distinguished in the game as they are in the docs, indeed that might be a way to give players a reason to visit different planets, by having planet specific events that cause a major shortage of a particular item, eg, there has been a power surge on Paradise station that has knocked out all unnecessary electronics, they are desperate to replace their scientific equipment and entertainment systems, or Planet Darlin has had a tidal wave which wiped out their crops, they are in major need of antiviral drugs and wheat @Frastlin, I think your talking about a completely different game with rpg mechanic
 s, assassins and what not, especially in the oh look its suddenly fantasy type idea. Even in those science fiction settings that had fantasy elements such as darcova or Mary Gentles golden witch breed (one of the best books of that type Ive read), it is how the two worlds interact that usually made things interesting, usually how humans or other off world ambassadors come to terms with a less advanced culture. That would be a hole other subject for a full on rpg game, and not really all that much to do with trading as I said. I also personally would be strongly against online multiplayer and multi character stuff. thered are hundreds of muds and the like already we dont need another. Id prefer a single player complex game where my character! is the hero, or at least the protagonist. Regarding peoples dislike of the setting, well my first comment would be tough luck just give it a try :d. I

I started playing bass on and off a few years ago when myMom got me my first bass for my birthday in the year 2007. Ive had a friend do some one on one tricks with me. THe only thing I could see being a problem is building up callis tips on your fingers and reading braille with that. I am a braille reader. If anyone has any Ideas for protection for that, let me know. But none the less, Let me say I was tapping the fret board alot and I even bend my strings to create a vibroto sound. I also have done some slap bass or tried too. Still work on that and as well as chords on the bass. I just love bass solos. I did a tiny little solo that really isnt much to blab on about. Basically, I plugged my amp in to my line_in jack on my Soundblaster soundcard. Needless to say, I blew it out. So I had to get a new soundcard. I have seen such descriptions used in museums with wireless headphones which is why that sort of thing would be doable. Funnily enough ultradood, it is my low vision that is exactly why! I enjoy those dark rides possibly more than someone without site. For example I remember the disney pirates of the carribian ride being particularly fun because during the sea battle there were gunshots all around and the muzzle flashes of cannons, then when in the cave with the skeleton pirates there was some great glowy effects, indeed some coasters I primarily remember more for there light value than their motion. Space moutain was one such, sinse while whizzig around in total darkness was sort of okay, the really awsome thing was going through a long tunnel of blue lights at the start all around the car, and then a long tunnel of red lights at the end. it actually reminded me of the later doctor who credits when you see first the Doctors face and then the Tardis in the center of the scre
 en with lots of sparcles and shots of energy from the time vortex around it. @Tom Now you mention it I do remember the different names for disney, but sinse I dont know a lot about the differences I probably didnt considder it that important. I have not been to the callifornia disney, just the one in Florida when I was 15, and Euro disney in Paris a couple of times (the last time about 9 years agoo). Actually theme park and ride wise most of the ones Ive been on have been in Britain, either at actual theme parks like Altan towers or American adventure (yes there is a theme park called American Adventure), or at various other sort of more general places like the pleasurebeach at seaside resorts or at various museums and science centers. I just use the disney ones for examples sinse theyre ones everybody tends to know, plus I do remember them fairly well, probably because the time I first visited disney was right in the middle of the 
 90s disney period where they had all their most landmark films out, indeed I still have ontop of my bookshelf my cuddly simber that I bought back from Euro disney (because I love the Lion king!), .Actually thinking about it I really wouldnt mind going back to euro disney sinse despite the plastic, and the rather inflated cuteness, and the drop in films to those annoying pixar things, they still do have several really quite fun rides, parades and things to see and oddly enough because I have so little vision I actually really! enjoy what visual things I can have fun with, one reason my flat has crazy decorations including a bright purple sky dfading to blue with clouds all over my bedroom walls .URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=178035#p178035

The problem frastlin is given that people would probably see the same messages reoccuring multiple times, people would just end up learning exactly what emergency meant what anyway, so you might as well give people the heads up. Plus to be honeest, any emergency bulitin would! say what people wanted anyway, just look at charity appeals.Smugglers actually does this in a fairly simple way, by having system wide events that occur to change the entire demand on a system, and clicking on a newspaper heading like sirius needs more diamonds you get the full story, but in Smugglers the events are pretty much randomized to occur at different systems. With the few number of planets in the game, and the fact that we were going for simple, the supply and demand metrics are very very very very and did I say very? rudimentary. The suggestions youve all made about this are good ones, and one of the first things that hit our revamp list was the methods of production, how that is telegraphed to the player, and why it happens. These have ranged from modifications of the simple form to make it less drastic in its swings, to more extreme ideas involving limited supplies of certain items in game, to very complex ideas involving multiple factors. Currently, were leaning toward a simpler set up that models the supply and demand better. One thing that youve brought up here, that struck me as a good idea, would be have some sort of planetary production modification. If the planet is Vanaheim for instance, which is Earth-like but very far o
 ut in its orbit, then it stands to reason that it will need more in the way of food supplies, endentured servants, and radioactive isotopes for fuels. If we can have modifiers for each type of world, that could put a break on certain items, and cause those planets to in general need certain items more.Mixed Mode RPG/SFF: As to mixed mode rpg with SF and fantasy elements, I personally am not opposed to the idea in books, but it doesnt grab me as a player of games. It has to be handled delicately in a book for me to even like it personally. We picked science fiction as a genre to work within primarily because the first game we developed was set up as an SF game from the beginning. The very first versions of Interceptor, our first game that will hopefully be released later this year, was developed when I was a computer geek in high school. Having started Interceptor, the setting, the history, and the races grew up later. Interceptor
  was a generic human us fleet against a generic alien them fleet. However, we thought that we could integrate many of our game concepts into one setting, give them common elements, and make them thereby perhaps marginally more interesting to play.Science fiction therefore became our default mode. Its not Aaron or my first choice. As I have noted, he is a big fan of westerns, and while I read science fiction a lot, I tend to be more on the fantasy end of things. We might very well release mods of games to set them in another genre, or to give them another set of possibilities. Further, once we have gone through our current batch of game ideas, its possible we might branch into another genre. I know Aaron would love to do a western. I honestly like strategy games the best of game types, and theres more possibilities with those with modern warfare or futuristic warfare settings. (Before someone starts pointing out
  dragons, wizards, etc for fantasy, I have a hard time envisioning armies of humanoids having hundreds of dragons helping them. Not with the way dragons are depicted in most Western myth and literature). The simple answer to the genre and/or mod question is, its a possibility further down the road. If you dont like SF settings, dont give it a try. However, I like Dark, like trying games for their possible interest despite their genre. Some games, sound completely stupid to me in concept. Packman is a great example of this. However that game has been around 35 years and counting. Further, part of the problem too is expectation. Trading game can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Monopoly is a trading game. So is Settlers of Catan. However, neither is similar to the other. In the same way, even though TKS includes combat elements its main focus isnt on combat. Some 
 people would like that to be different or more detailed. No game can do everything that everyone would like. Ive been making more notes though, and you guys have given us a lot of good material. Keep it coming. Well regarding external drives for backup my usual practice would be to buy a new one when my current one goes caput or becomes too full. It has a defrag and antivirus run on it everytime I backup, so Im happy with how its working thus far. Even though I know there are technically better technologies out there for backups, well I dont see the point of changing when what I have still works anyway even if it would say break down in 10 years rather than 50 years :d. As to online backups, well I only need to backup specific things not the hole operating system, sinse Ive already changed xp machines several times and just stuck back in stuff like favourites, installed programs, audio etc rather than backup the hole system.Regarding things generally, to be perfectly honest Sebby the plane and simple fact is I am not! interested in computers at all in and of themselves. My concern is not whether I have the latest this that and the other, the biggest numbers, or the most secure thingy (security is a concern but not a matter of absolute paranoyer), its what does my computer do in my life that I want.Would windows 7 do me any good? The answer seems to be no. Itd bugger up compatibility for several programs, require me to learn a new interface to the one Ive used and customized for the past 16 years, kick out several useful components like outlook express and the sensible windows explorer and generally be far more trouble than it was worth. If I could upgrade without losing out on anything the way I can when upgrading Ios versions, or if there was actually anything interesting or good windows 7 did that I cant do on xp like the many games and Aps I get on Ios, then!  avent tried one and dont know either A, how annoying the interface is or B, whether it actually does anything interesting xp doesnt I cant say at this point as Ive not tried one and investigated what they are capable of, though I will say the virtual machine thing is a little off putting. Bare in mind your talking to someone who still owns a fully working Snes and Sega megadrive as well as a gamecube with the gb playerr, still collects games for all of those systems when i can and still plays and enjoys them, simply because nintendo havent bought out any other consoles I could particularly use or that have enough games with good low vision access,  Im just having another bash at Mega man x right now,  and finding myself most out of practice! .Good to here that Apple are keeping their noses out of peoples files

Much as there is a lot I like in Ios it does seem Apple are rather too much in support of major companies and against information sharing, particularly in the way they restrict people to a lot of their own systems like Itunes.
