guys, I have to tell you: reaAccess is compatible also with reaper 5.10! I'm using it without problems! Now Osara is better, in my opinion but The other plug.in was a must, at least for me, since I tryed Osara!!!

Hello,Sam, I have a sogestion. Now mainland is ful of animals, bears, wolfies, bunnies ... and 2 of those can attack and kill. But this is the place where all the newbies who don't yet know the game start. What I am sogesting is: maybe newbies could start somewhere else, if you want the bears and wolves to stay. I am not complaining about those animals attacking older players and being strong. But newbies can't yet defend themselves. Maybe they could start on the beautiful forrest landscape aka island2? It has enough material, and it still has rabbits to kill. It doesn't have stones, so newbies can't make speers, but still it is a nice place.

Hi all,Well 3 years, 2 months and 12 days after I created this topic, it's time to bump it. I've just found some more information. And no I haven't spent 3 years nonstop on this!As you may know, the Microsoft Wavetable synth uses DLS (downloadable sounds) files to produce its sounds. Most DLs files are nothing more than a set of PCM wav files with instructions on how to play those wav files. That's how the gm.dls file supplied with pretty much every Windows version since Win 98 works.However the fun has only started, as the old Windows CE synth which this topic is about also uses DLs sounds! The DLS file it uses can be found on the keysoft system disc of the MPower, and is called wince_gm.dls. I've also uploaded the dls file at this link:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/540 … nce_gm.dlsNow, here's where things get complicated. If you try to import the wince_gm.dls file into DLS players, most will not be able to do anything with it. However if you give them the standard gm.dls file supplied with desktop Windows, they normally just work without issue. So what's going on here?The problem here is that wince_gm.dls is a mobile DLS file, and these types of DLs files allow for alternative formats to store the wave data. The most common wav format is uncompressed PCM, but technically DLS allows other formats. For example you could use ADPCM compressed wavs and so long as the appropriate ACM codecs are installed, the DLS synth *should* be able to decode and use them. Windows comes with some built-in ACM codecs for mp3 and a few other formats, and older versions of Windows also come with old WMA ACM codecs as well, though I've never gotten them to work.So the reason you can't plunk the wince_gm.dls file into your player of choice is because most things don't have proper codecs to read the samples. In fact most players I've tried will give some error saying the file is unsupported, they won't even try to load the instrument data, they'll just crash when trying to load samples. I've tried Winamp's DLS midi synth, as well as a few other sample converters like Extreme Sample Convert and Awave Studio, none of which could read the data.There is a little bit of hope though. While looking around for dls editors, I found an old program called Direct Music Producer,which seems to allow composers to utilize the direct music framework to handle game audio for old PC games. One of its features is designing custom DLs sound banks which are what Direct Music uses to play midi files. I thought I'd give it a shot.Direct Music Producer would not install on Win 7 X64, but I was able to get it to work by manually registering the dll and ocx files it depends on. However it still could not read wince_gm.dls. I then tried installing the program properly with its installer on a Windows XP VM, and had a bit more success. I don't have the technical expertese to say why it would be better on the VM, other than to say that it was probably designed for XP and not 7...Direct Music producer was able to read 28 samples from the DLS. That's not many, but it's at least a start. It also was able to read the DLS instrument data, meaning that although I can't decode most of the samples, I can see what they are called, where they're used, and their attributes. I can even dig into DLS instrument parameters, so I could hypothetically rebuild the DLS by replacing the references to those compressed samples with uncompressed ones to make it work.My guess at this point would be that the compressed samples were encoded with the ACM MP3 or WMA codecs. But again I'm just guessing here.I've actually considered sampling the synthesizer myself and making a new DLs or sound font. It would be a lot of tedious work and would likely take ages. But at least I have access to the insturment data, so I can see what notes were sampled, what the note ranges are, where the loops are, etc. And assuming I actually do follow through and re-sample everything, I can then go about fixing all the really awful glitches that the samples have, and make a half decent replica of the synth without all its issues. whether I'll eventually do all that, I don't know. I'd like to, but meh ... I've already invested a ton of time obsessing over this already, just to hit dead ends. And while re-sampling the synth the way I just described would probably work, I'm not sure it would be worth it. If there's enough interest I'll certainly do it, since I'm just the type who would. Lol. But for now, I'm still trying to decide whether to really start on that or not.

I'd like to use it for Podcast purposes, as well as Musical stuff, should I find any samples of instruments, especially drums, and perhaps a few nice VSTs I can use. Any help would be apreciated here as well.But as podcasting is concerned, I would like to record me over a Piece of Music, so the Music turns down a bit when I speak and raises the volume if I stop talking for a couple of seconds. I heard you have to set certain parameters for that, but not sure really.

These are bugs in the editor that didn't really become apparent until the latest versions of Swamp. I've been trying to correct them, but am kinda lost.That it apparently only happens on maps that have been saved more than once should be helpful.

That sounds like something is screwing with your CPU usage, and it's dropping/skipping to try and catch up. I've only ever had this problem with Windows Media Player and the default Microsoft synth, though. Your computer isn't trying to do something like install updates or sync devices while you're playing it, by any chance?(Actually, I think WMP gave me that problem even when I wasn't connected to the internet. It's weird to hear a better engine doing something similar.)

Well this isn't exactly the right forum for discussion of personal issues or venting, on the other hand the fact you shared this hear is important and we'd be a pretty scummy bunch if we said "smeg off and go somewhere else" that  being said, if you just need someone to vent to, try The Samaritans I know the name sounds overtly christian (sinse it comes from the parrable about Jesus christ), but the organization is a definitely secula one. Basically, you phone then, and they give you space to sit and say whatever, they listen, and if you get someone who knows what they
 're talking about, they listen cooperatively. So, if you needed to have a good vent to someone, that might be a good place. I'd also suggest talking a bit to your doctor if possible, sinse there are things that can be done to just make you feel better, perhaps counselling perhaps something else, but if you don't talk to someone outside your immediate circumstance  then your stuck dealing with things on your own. I can't really speak for the actual problems other than to listen sympathetically, however I will remind you you are a teenaged boy and will be a legal adult in the future. At that point you will be able to do what you want and be with whom you want,  particularly if your parents' judgement is off. It may also be that your mum and your sister just need to get used to the idea, ultimately I don't really know and I wouldn't hazard a guess. Personally however, for the moment I'd suggest you probably ne
 ed to have a good vent, find a way to deal with how your feeling, then consider things a little mor rationally. Resource management games, a few rounds of mortal kombat, some physical exercise, some high coco chocolate, whatever is likely to help with your immediate feelings. one thing I have learnt is that there are things we think about ourselves and our lives (especially as a teenager but often enough afterwards as well), that aren't reasonable or accurate, and feeling we have which aren't particularly good to act on, but still need dealing with. I've had to do this enough myself, and perhaps it's a suggest you might find useful as well. Hth.

(I am not one of them, but it really depends 
 on specific details, especially the people.)Your family sabotaging other relationships doesn't tell us much by itself (although I've only heard of that ending well in TV shows), but combined with your mother threatening to commit suicide in front of you, it's pretty clear there is a lot wrong in this situation. It isn't clear from your description whether it's a case of Borderline Personality, or emotional abuse. people have a tendency to describe them similarly, much to the chagrin of not-so-abusive borderlines (link focuses on romantic relationships, but there might be something worth reading there?).I wish I could offer something better than "please hold on a while longer", but these things never seem to lend themselves to straightforward solutions.

Hello,Sam, I have a sogestion. Now mainland is ful of animals, bears, wolfies, bunnies ... and 2 of those can attack and kill. But this is the place where all the newbies who don't yet know the game start. What I am sogesting is: maybe newbies could start somewhere else, if you want the bears and wolves to stay. I am not complaining about those animals attacking older players and being strong. But newbies can't yet defend themselves. Maybe they could start on the beautiful forrest landscape aka island2? It has enough material, and it still has rabbits to kill. It doesn't have stones, so newbies can't make speers, but still it is a nice place.Another idea is that maybe wolves and bears could attack rabbits, maybe bears could eat barriers or fishes ... in short, that bears would attack other things, not just us. I am sure you are already working on that though, so won't push on you more and more.

To cut to the chase, I'm talking about Divekick.  Now, some of you might dismiss it as a simplistic game.  Yes, it is, to an extent.  Before I go any further, I'll add that it's available on PS3, PS4 and Steam as well.The menus are a little strange and I might elaborate on that later, once I have them clarified.The main point is that it's really rather cheap for the vast majority at the moment ($1.99 in the U.S., £3.99 in the U.K, not sure about anywhere else).  Just sign into your appropriate storefront and look at the price there.  Not sure if these are completely permanent reductions, but I'd suggest giving the game a look, it's quite funny even without knowledge of the references from the fighting game community (FGC).

Its just a battle against 2 pirates for the moment but you'll earn 21000 credits if you and your crew will manage to complete it, so will your crew. Hi!I am searching a library or algorithm for real-time sound editing.I am using FMOD and Seal libraries and I'm editing sound by adding presets or real-time frequency editing. Echo is added by sound imposition - quieter and later. It's good method, but in game such as Revina, when we have dozens of sounds it can overfill RAM Memory.In 4GB of memory, when we are on map with more enemies and items, game crashes with NoMemoryError. With 8GB we haven't a problem, but, we want to publish this game with minimum 4GB RAM.So, I am looking for a library or algorithm, which can change sound in real-time as a file or buffer in RAM Memory. The Revina can use to 6 cores, so, I think, that delays won't a problem if the library can work fast.Yes, I know that Seal has build-in presets, but it can't use their in more than 16 sounds at the same time.Thank you for help,DP

@Omer, Yeah, I love windows 8.1, it truly consumes less ram than windows 7. when I got it installed on my machines, the processor used to stand above 75% while now there are cases when the processor is less than 15%.I think your issue you are forced to shut down your computer happened two days ago but now it's not happening again.Regarding your NVDA issue on the log on screen, always feel free to long press windows then Enter and narrator will start speaking. By performing the same command you can turn it off if NVDA starts working again.

Hello,You have to right click the game in steam. With NVDA though, you should be able to use the screen review mode with the numpad, find skullgirls then route the mouse with numpad slash, then right click with the key to the right of the numpad slash, nvda calls it numpad multiply. It's at tiems like this where I wish Steam would read with a keyboard properly so we could jsut use the applications key.

Hello,I'm still a bit confused. How would you describe this program? Do we create objectives like 2d platform maps that you can complete, or is it more like creating the places we think of, like a sandbox? So making the sounds and a map of, for example, a spaceship that we can walk and mess around in? This sounds interesting because we don't really have programs that we can just mess around with. It'd kind of be cool if we could add both music and ambience, as I'd love to create something like, say, the wizard of oz where to get to oz you'd ahve to go to a twister, which can go back and fourth between oz and canzas, in oz you've got the yellow brick road, the emerald city etc. Or a doctor who world with a tardis that could take you to different places. Not as a game, but more like a set of just linked environments. If you added quests and things it'd be kind of cool but too much like a game, and since it's called environment sweet, I&#

Hello,To give some more info, this is a two-button fighter. One button makes you jump, the other makes you kick. Jumping always makes you move toward your opponent. The idea is to jump into the air and then kick your opponent before landing. The good news is this is in stereo sound, and the results can be very funny because most of the time you might end up jumping over your opponent's head and things, so you might spend a lot of time just trying to kick each other this happens to sighted people too. This isn't a serious game at all, it really is funny, in fact so much so that it's a one-hit kill, first person to kick the other wins. If you don't jump before pressing kick, I think the kick button will make you sort of move backward from your opponent.I haven't tried this game for a while so I don't know the menu layouts, what I can say though is that to move through the menus, you press jump to go one way and kick to go the other, and to s

Hi,Life gets very dam difficult at times mate, but you should, never, never give up.I know how sad it can be when nothing goes as you dream or wish. I experienced this many times, when I had to give up on music, when I started high school without friends and momentarily at the university, where everything is a whole crap. Not that I'm an expert on psychological training and counciling, but I'd suggest you do those things that you like mostly. If you like music, listen to your favourite one and enjoy it as much as you can. The most useful suggestion I'd recommend, is just talk, talk to your nearest and dearest. That's what I myself do and it works. Even explaining and talking about your problems with your friend washes away your stress. Gather together, go out with your mates, and, do! crazy things! and make you and yourself laugh. Take away your reluctance and do not always keep   your mind stuck to what happened. Sleep for many hours, and
  consider reading books, those that catch your curiosity, of course. In other words, do those things that you like to do when you are either happy or sad.I don't know why you feel so hesitant to consider a psychologist, we say here but as I may notice you use the term counciler. Greetings! In keeping in line with the engineering system of dmnb, their is now a new planet fall system. Smaller ships including the quantom leaper don't need to worry but for frigates and ships that contain actual engineering systems, the engage and disengage fusion drive option now works. When the ships fusion drive isn't running, the ships speed will always be 0 and unable to move. Additionally, if your in orbit of a planetary body such as a moon or planet, this will cause your ship to enter into a failing orbit and if fusion drive power isn't restored, you'll eventually enter into atmosphere and burn up. All larger ships that have engineering systems abord will need to re engage fusion drive systems.

Thank you all... I'm trying to keep on going. I should elaborate, this girl was not my first love. I've had others. But I truly thought, and still think, that she is the one. I hope to fight through this rough patch and marry her someday. I know I now, I'm only sixteen, or will be next month, but I've gone through things in my life that have given me the mentality of a 30 or even 40 year old. I've been told I'm more mature than most 30 year olds out there. Anyhow, that's beside the point. The way my depression works is I'll lay for hours on my laptop, talking to a friend about it then 30 seconds later we're cracking jokes and poking fun at one another, then 30 seconds later the cycle begins again. I imagine it's exhausting for them and more than a tad annoying. There are times where I'll turn on a song and just curl up and cry. It'll last maybe 5 minutes, then I'll feel better for a few hours. I always stop myself fr
 om ending it to think how would Erowyn feel? How would my best friend Brit feel? How would my family feel? My uncle who I go hunting with every deer season? My mom and sister? My friend Dustin, or my best blind friend Khannon? I know I have people who care about me even if I don't see it at times. Sometimes I forget that. They, especially Erowyn, are the ones who keep me fighting from day to day. I may be extremely angry with my mom and sister, and yes very afraid of them, but I know somewhere deep down that they do love me. Sometimes I just can't stand the thought of going through another day.

There have been quite a few topics about which Muds are best for cooking, crafting, farming, and exploration.  After playing a lot of Muds in search of the best one, I thought I would cull my knowledge and start this list, in hopes that I can save others a lot of time and searching. I hope everyone will add their advice, thoughts, and opinions to this thread, so that we can make a bigger list, but I think these Muds will get you started if you’re interested in any of the nonviolent facets of Mudding.AvalonThis Mud has everything – exquisitely written descriptions, super friendly player base, navigation helps like zoom and find to make exploration easier, extensive crafting system, cooking, and farming.  The only caution is that it takes a significant amount of RL time to raise your skills up enough to get into the crafting, and it can be costly resourcewise to get started in game.  If you’re interested in farming, in the beginning, you probably won’t have enough gold to buy your own plough, so you’ll need to help out your city in farming their fields.  This is fine, but it does mean you’ll have to be online at the time when the ploughing occurs. This mud is well worth the payoff if you’re patient, but this isn’t a Mud that you can start, and be making furniture two days later.Host: Avalon-rpg.comPort: 23Clok MudYou can begin crafting on this Mud from the very beginning.  I started out fishing, and it was a lot of fun. I hate to sound rude, but I really can't understand what you need.Furthermore, your better off writing in the room itself, not in a topic completely different from what is being discussed. This way, everyone who ventures through this particular room will see it, and should be able to shed more light on the issue at hand.The best I could recommend is to look at the dynamic menu class tutorial, and look at game programming in practice part I.Also one other note, please don't do what I did. Well, Samsung appears to have a ways yet to go before they'll have an accessible TV.It turns out that Sebby may have been right about accessibility being added on to an existing product, though I have no idea if that is the case with this TV.What I do know is the TV has a bunch of obviously unintended behaviors, as I had described in earlier posts.After working with Samsung over the past two weeks trying to resolve the problems and getting nowhere. Then having Samsung direct me to a page on their web site where I could start a live chat with their remote troubleshooting people, and finding nothing at all on the page related to live chat or remote troubleshooting, I decided to give up.Next week, the TV is being returned.My last Samsung product wasn't a good experience either. It was another TV. It had problems that were never resolved, and the TV died after only three years of very light use.I doubt I will ever buy another Samsung
  product again. Two products and both being bad experiences, kind of sets a pattern.

@Ghostrider, crying is good, it provides catharsis. If however things are this serious then you probably do need to start looking at ways of managing to live with this. Firstly, finding things you can do when these feelings of depression hit as I said. I'd also suggest talking to a doctor sinse there are things that can help. Counselling, when done well can be a good thing. It's not particularly about talking to someone sympathetic, it's basically about exploring what your feeling and how you react. It's bloody hard work when done properly, extremely exhausting, but worth it in the end, provided of course you are getting counselling from someone who vaguely knows what they're doing.If your depression has a chemical element to it, and doesn't have as much reason, medication is also an option. I know there is a lot of social stigma about this, however it's not really as big a deal as you imagine. Anti depressan
 ts won't mke your problems go away, and unlike all the onesin films they won't change your memory or personality, they just make things a little less extreme and the feelings of depression a trifle easier to cope with, just the same way if your prone to stomach upsets, taking an antacid after a large meal makes you less prone to stomach aches.Similarly, feel free to vent on here if you wish, though you could also consider looking for a site with a forum that has individuals in a similar state so that you have somewhere safe to share these sorts of things without worrying about your friends.Btw, Nocturnus above post is eloquent as ever and beautifully phrased and put together. However, don't let that fool you, everything in the game needs to be built, from campfires, to drinkable water, to food, weapons to energy and mineral collectors, buildings for your colony, vehicles, robots and spaceships, heck you even need to make some of the different sorts of tools you will need for other crafts. There have been quite a few topics about which Muds are best for cooking, crafting, farming, and exploration.  After playing a lot of Muds in search of the best one, I thought I would cull my knowledge and start this list, in hopes that I can save others a lot of time and searching. I hope everyone will add their advice, thoughts, and opinions to this thread, so that we can make a bigger list, but I think these Muds will get you started if you’re interested in any of the nonviolent facets of Mudding.AvalonThis Mud has everything – exquisitely written descriptions, super friendly player base, navigation helps like zoom and find to make exploration easier, extensive crafting system, cooking, and farming.  The only caution is that it takes a significant amount of RL time to raise your skills up enough to get into the crafting, and it can be costly resourcewise to get started in game.  If you’re interested in farming, in the beginning, you probably won’t have enough gold to buy your own plough, so you’ll need to help out your city in farming their fields.  This is fine, but it does mean you’ll have to be online at the time when the ploughing occurs. This mud is well worth the payoff if you’re patient, but this isn’t a Mud that you can start, and be making furniture two days later.Host: Avalon-rpg.comPort: 23Clok MudYou can begin crafting on this Mud from the very beginning.  I started out fishing, and it was a lot of fun. This one is probably my second favorite as far as helpful players go, and well written world descriptions. virtual mac on a windows machine?

Hey all, I'm trying to do something that hasn't been done very much in the VI community and I'm wondering what you guys think. I'm doing a lot of user experience testing for various web development companies and I need access to a mac as well as a PC while I'm on the go. Has anyone ever run OSX virtully on a windows box before? I know it can be done with either VirtualBox or VMWare, but I'm wondering about things like being able to use my virtual mac's command and option keys without floating back into the host OS, etc. Thoughts?

Here's a summary of the flight controls:- left/right: fly slower/faster- up/down: fly higher/lower- shift+left / shift+right: turn around- l: lower landing gearThere are two different obstacles you can hear warnings for; it's probably easiest to get familiar with the Japanese word that announces turbulences here, so you can tell the difference later, when the other appears.When you get close to a turbulence, the alarm starts playing; you need to fly higher or lower to find a way around it.If you can't find the way quickly enough, it might help to turn around to regain space. I like to fly slower when the turbulences are especially complicated.

I think you have to get an unlocked for VMware and Virtual Box. Good luck doing it though. I'd just get an Air and put Windows on it. Boot camped Macs are beyond awesome and you get to switch back and forth between operating systems.

Ross, I think you're oversimplifying. You said audio game debs either aren't good storytellers, or try to tell the wrong type of story for the game, and you seem to suggest this is the only reason that audio games don't have great stories, whereas mainstream games do. I'll point again to the enormity of the task of creating a game that is both fulfilling from a gameplay perspective (good sounds, good mechanics, good balance, etc.) and also has a good story. Mainstream developers have resources, time, creative teams, and funds that most audio game debs couldn't even dream of. I'd say that goes a long way, too. The truth is that many independently developed audio games don't stay in the development stage as long as they would need to to reach the level of quality you're talking about. This may be because the debs just want to get a game done quickly, or because they are under a lot of pressure from the community to crank games out quickly. It&
 #039;s not necessarily anybody's fault. But if you're going to compare mainstream games to audio games, you have to realize that the infrastructure for building those games is radically different - which means to come anywhere close to the quality of a mainstream game, an audio game's development is going to take a whole lot longer.

No. Don't use bootcamp. You have to partition, and you will need sighted assistance, as the idiots at apple don't allow sound driverd]s to be used until windows is installed. If you buy a mac, use vmware fusion, or look up the mac installers from SoulDev, since they went down, you will have to get them from a torrent.

@Dark and afrim,Thank you both.  Honestly, it's encouragement like yours that fuels my beliefs still further and makes me want to try harder.  We can go around and around pontificating on the ethics of man and man's nature or the idea that we live in a fallen world Verses the possibility that all is a matter of adaptation and evolution, but given that over the past year I've made it no secret what I believe or why it seems rather pointless.  My greatest goal is to provide a hand to those in need, a voice to those too scared to speak, a strength for those too weak to stand, and loving grace for those who reach out for it, because while all of it sounds paradoxical, it is easier, methinks, to find the bad in life than it is to find the good.  An old Scottish prayer comes to mind that goes, "Dear God, I thank thee a thousand times for the roses; help me to thank thee for the thorns as well."  Even if you never want to believe in
  the ideas I've presented, I still hold that this prayer in itself illustrates just how we tend to work along with the realization that only by looking at those things that hurt and overcoming them can we truly appreciate the great things in life and in this world.

Speaking of stage18, I heard that their was a landing pointing ware you dould land and keep picking up collection items. Does anyone know witch stage or level this is in? I once got to it, but I don't remember how. I've already tried 1802 and 3, and it doesn't seem to be their. For the person on 18-2, just avoid the turbulence by going up and down. First is up to 4, then down to 1, and keep doing this. Eventually you'll get to a part ware there are 2 turbulence the are in the same place meaning you don't have to go up or down for those 2. After this, you will see the same type of thing, but a different altitude. Avoid these, then you will find 2 turbulances, 1 that can be avoided by going down and another that can be avoided by going up. When the alarm starts playing, wait until you pass the first one, then go up, rite after you pass the turbulence.

I once got to it, but I don't remember how. I've already tried 18-2 and 3, and it doesn't seem to be their. For the person on 18-2, just avoid the turbulence by going up and down. First is up to 4, then down to 1, and keep doing this. Eventually you'll get to a part ware there are 2 turbulences that are in the same place meaning you don't have to go up or down for those 2. After this, you will see the same type of thing, but a different altitude. Avoid these, then you will find 2 turbulances, 1 that can be avoided by going down and another that can be avoided by going up. When the alarm starts playing, wait until you pass the first one, then go up, rite after you pass the turbulence.
