-Caveat Lector- I am reading The Biggest Secret right now, and can't put it down. I had come to the same conclusions myself, but of course didn't have the research abilities David demonstrates. From what I learned in 15 years of being up to my neck in UFO research, running an abductee support group, and after 50+ years of personal experiences with these "critters", I find Icke to be more on point that anyone else I've read. I pray for his safety. The following email received by NewsHawk indicates that aircraft like the one Kennedy was piloting have TWO "artificial horizon" systems--a electronic horizon which is the primary one, and a vacuum system as a backup. The American people really MUST acknowledge at this point that claims Kennedy's plane crashed due to the fact he was "disoriented" WILL NOT HOLD WATER! Statements to this effect made by government officials at many levels and propounded by mass media ARE LIES! How god-damn MUSH-BRAINED have we become??? It's been about 7 years since I last touched a plane, but I thought that the current FARs (Federal Aviation Regulations) in the basic air-worthiness certificate required an artificial horizon to have a primary and a backup. The 1900's had an electronic primary and vacuum secondary artificial horizon. The artificial horizon is basically a gyroscope in a housing with a needle to indicate the horizon. We also received a note yesterday from someone who says that for a few days immediately after the Kennedy plane crash FOX-TV ran an interview with a Martha's Vineyard resident who was outside walking her dog at the time of the crash. She reported clearly hearing a noise she described as being like a "knife through sailcloth".. only of course much louder. Reprinted below is the email we received. It took us until June 22 to determine that the Committee heard testimony that day from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Bromwich, who had not appeared before the Committee since the release of his report last year. And it also heard from current CIA Inspector General Britt Snider, who discussed Volume II of retired CIA IG Fred Hitz's report on the whole Contra war - not Los Angeles. Los Angeles was Volume I. That's right - They have had the hearing on Volume II. They did it in secret. The press did not cover it. And it remains unclear, at this moment, as to whether HPSCI's final report will even be declassified or made available to the public in any form at all. This is not only a breach of every promise made to us in 1996 by both Houses; it is, in my opinion, a complete breach of trust between the government and the people. In a June 22 conversation with HPSCI Deputy Staff Director, Tim Sample, I was told that the Committee "would like to wrap this up this summer." I was also told that the protocol for closing the investigation out had not been finalized. It is "not known" whether there will be another hearing. It is "not known" whether or if the Committee's final report will be declassified or ever released. It is "not known" if any additional witnesses will be called. I and retired DEA Agent Cele Castillo and presumably the other major figures in the investigation have all received letters asking us to submit whatever other evidence "we are aware of" before the Committee closes its work. This is a sign of true desperation as the Republican controlled Committee must absolutely close the issue - to protect George W. Bush - before the 2000 Presidential campaign begins in earnest in October. It must also protect the biggest secret of all from the American people: The entire economy, and the entire political system itself, is currently hooked and dependent upon - drug money. I have been saying for years that you could show a video of George Bush ordering drug runs, CIA agents laundering money and flying airplanes full of drugs and no one in power would do anything about it. They would not be able to. In this issue I will tell you, and the House, about something almost as damning - a partially authenticated letter, written on CIA letterhead and stamped "Top Secret", ostensibly written and signed by CIA Director William J. Casey in late 1986, that admits to direct participation in the drug trade [SEE STORY THIS ISSUE]. I have been aware of the existence of this letter for approximately five months. I have had it read to me in its entirety. It was not until I was given this last chance by HPSCI to present "all of the information of which you are aware on the allegations" that I was able to obtain an "On the Record" statement about the letter from Attorney Ray Kohlman. The letter will be admitted into evidence in a new trial motion for former Green Beret William Tyree in the near future. 8.7.99 Kennedy Lined Up for Final Approach In our previous bulletins on the UPI article "Hopes fade for missing Kennedy plane" we focused primarily on the TIMING of the contact as indicative of Kennedy having been in a fully coherent state--aware of his position, location, distance from land and the like. No the slightest hint of problems of any kind were indicated in this detailed communication. Also noted by Kennedy were his plans to fly on to Hyannis later that evening. There is additional significant information conveyed in this UPI report. Pilots flying as Kennedy was almost always make such a radio contact when they have made VISUAL CONTACT with the airport. This in fact is exactly what Kennedy SAID to the flight controller at Martha's Vineyard airport. According to WCVB-TV Boston, as further reported by UPI: " At 9:39 p.m. Friday, Kennedy radioed the airport and said he was 13 miles from the airport and 10 miles from the coast, according to WCVB-TV news in Boston. He reportedly said he was making his final approach." OK. He SAID where he was because he SAW where he was! Got it? FORGET about this mysterious and fictional vision-obliterating "haze". HE SAW WHERE HE WAS! There was NO disorientation. According to standard practices he would in fact have been almost completely ALIGNED with the airport runway ALREADY. No further substantial maneuvering or changes of direction would have been necessary at this point. So there he his, heading right in with the coast in sight and the airport in sight. The guy is due to land IN MINUTES. In light of this, WHAT, by any stretch of the imagination, could have occurred in the few seconds between the completion of the call and the plane's headlong descent to have called into play the endlessly-repeated yarn about pilot error (due to that risk-taking gene and his "astrology chart"!!)! Suddenly it's bye-bye time. Really there is DEFINITELY a LOT wrong with this picture. Now, if one plots out Kennedy's position as he described, that WOULD in fact be roughly 10 miles west/southwest of the shoreline, which itself is about 3 miles south of the airport. In this regard everything fits perfectly in terms of him being where be said he was. One thing that DOESN'T fit into this schematic, however, is where federal and state authorities claim they retrieved the plane's wreckage. Unless the force of whatever destroyed his plane blasted it about 7 miles to the northwest--which is genuinely doubtful, then there is something REAL fishy (sorry for that pun) about this angle as well. It seems that the wreckage was dragged underwater to a different location: perhaps to prevent too many people from observing the recovery or some other reason. To reiterate: according to the content of Kennedy's call he was in fact lined up for final approach. This additional EXTREMELY pertinent fact is ANOTHER reason this radio contact has been excised from official renditions; because it is completely unreasonable to claim a pilot with Kennedy's AMPLE piloting skills, flying a plane with an auto-stabilzing system as he was, could "blow it" at that point due to disorientation. IMPOSSIBLE that he could not make out Martha's Vineyard from that distance, ESPECIALLY with the noted "light pollution" permeating the skies in the area that area residents had been complaining about. Again, these OUTRAGEOUS and unfounded speculations that pilot error and such are the cause of the crash are completely without merit. THERE WERE NO MORE TURNS TO MAKE! Never once did they suggest that someone else may have "did it to 'em". The news nets claimed that he suddenly became disoriented, confused, and discombobulated. Others say he was too incompetent to control his aircraft under the extremely adverse weather conditions - all of which is total bullshit. A lie is a lie is a lie is a lie. It is inconceivable that anyone with an I.Q. over that of a good golf score could consume this crap and not regurgitate. But they do. Lined up like pigs at the feeding trough, the public sucks up this swill like burgers and fries. They seem to hunker on down for another gulp of the garbage - which proves H.L. Mencken's statement: "One can never underestimate the intelligence of the American public". They are stupid beyond belief. Her name was Darlene N and she got "very close" to an Escobar cousin named Steve Plata. Well, thanks to the "uc", as undercovers are called, Barry Seal and Terry Reed were sent on a drug sting to meet some wealthy Texans who were flying into Tamiami Airport outside of Miami, Florida to pick up a couple of kilos of powder for a party. Well it turns out that the wealthy Texans were George W. and Jeb Bush who flew in on the family owned King Air to pick up the cocaine themselves. Hidden DEA cameras filmed the whole incident, including the tail number of the aircraft and both Bushes' participation. According to Reed, nobody knew in advance who the buyers were. Reed states that he has both the tail number of the aircraft and the DEA case file number and that he strongly expects that tape to turn up during the 2000 presidential campaign. ---My Take: Clinton watchers have known for years that 1) the man is a thoroughly corrupt low life, with no honor, loyalty or principles; 2) that all his associates therefore are similarly morals-challenged. Given the richly documented past (and present) association Clinton has had with the Bush family, the obvious conclusion that follows is 3) the Bushes are also corrupt low lifes. Could it be a case of one hand whitewashing the other here? The Bushs visit Arkansas often during the '80's, build a friendship, and collaborate together in suborning a major drug-running operation in Mena. Bush is threatened in '92 with an expanded investigation over Iraqgate and Neil Bushgate (and perhaps Mena) should he be re-elected, so cuts a deal with his more corrupt "opponent" to take a dive, campaign shabbily and lose, in exchange for Clinton keeping the lid shut on his family scandals? Clinton accepts on condition that one of GHWB's son's succeed him in becoming President to do the same for him---otherwise he goes public over Mena, and the DEA video. This scenario may explain a lot over what has transpired over the past seven years, from why the video, if it exists, never surfaced before, why the gigantic build-up now for GWB, etc.(he's the most likely guy in the universe to bury the Clinton scandals for good). This was a major no-no. This would only act as an advantage for the Soviets totrack the plane. On a straight line it is fairly easy to predict in advancewhere the plane will be at any given time. Because the U-2 spy plane flew at such high altitudes it was untouchablefrom Soviet jets and SAM anti-aircraft missiles. But in Power's case, Col.Fletcher Prouty (Chief Special Operations at the Pentagon from 1960-63)concluded from technical evidence that Power's plane was flying at a loweraltitude when brought shot at. The Soviets claimed to have shot the planedown, but according to press reports, the plane was reported to have ran out of fuel and crash landed. It explains the shifts we have all anticipated for so long, and the manifestations globally we are witness to, day to day. Good reading. The Lunar and Solar Eclipses - What is Happening? Right now, something truly profound in the evolution of our reality is finally coming to a head. This period contains the moment we have all been waiting for - or at least, the new beginning which leads to it. It is the reason that the world around us has felt pregnant with something entirely new, and why we humans have, over recent months, often felt so frustrated with waiting. The up-coming eclipses are at the centre of what is happening. The purpose of this note is to give you some guidelines which may assist in how to maximise the opportunity. It is possible to see this time either very positively, or very negatively, yet the reality will be different for each of us. There is no doubt that radical change is likely - when I asked for a dream to give me greater clarity, I was shown the following scenario. I was helpingt facilitate a spiritually based workshop - while we were all enjoying our work, a flash flood swept everything in the street outside away, cars, belongings, the lot. An interesting image for a time of change! The point is that those who were doing the spiritual work were all perfectly safe, but in the mundane realm there was huge chaotic change. The continually escalating energies of higher consciousness which have been flooding into the planet and our individual consciousness for several years, have now gone exponential. These energies also open up access to the knowledge that will drive the creation of the 'new paradigm'. As little as one year ago, the energies of the new paradigm were at only 10% compared with 90% for the old. Now, a few weeks before the 11the August solar eclipse it stands at 49% new to 51% old. When I ask will the two will come into balance, the date I am given is that of the solar eclipse as the moment when the new energies come into the ascendancy for the first time. The eclipse, and the astrological 'grand cross that accompanies it, are a significant focal point. However, the main features of the Grand Cross, which are being modified daily by the movement of the planets, are already in place, and will be for many weeks. Thus, some commentators focus on days other than the eclipse as having major significance. Although there may be a central event, the whole is a powerful process, over some weeks, and setting of many other change processes. The cutting off of the energy of the sun, in a process that will last just over three hours and pass over a great deal of territory, has a radical potential for change. First, all the programming that generates the fear that has existed for millennia, and, as a primary tool of the old paradigm, have held humanity captive, are held within various layers of the earth's energy grids and structures. As the sun is blocked from the earth, these fears - already loosened by the escalation of higher consciousness energies of recent years - will now become detached, and can, if we do not reinforce them, actually dissipate away to nothing. Secondly, these fears can be replaced by our positive intentions, if we choose to make those explicit during the time of the solar eclipse. It will be highly important, then, to visualise the most positive reality possible, during this time, and hold your vision steadfast and unwavering. Most of us are aware that we create our own realities in some way. However, this task has usually been greatly complicated by many old, inappropriate energies that cause interference to our intentions. Now, as the energies from the sun become disconnected during the eclipse, aspects of that which interferes will be temporarily absent - for a time the board will be wiped clean. Billions of dollars of the peoples moneys have been spent to secure monopolys that act directly against the interests of the public, as concerns business and fair competition. Years have been lost and gargantuan chunks of productivity thrown to the wayside, while huge conglomerates tighten the collar, nay, noose, to the point of strangulation. To enforce these laws of monopoly huge prison industries have been spawned, to incarcerate those who would have the colossal audacity to compete with big business on its own terms. Most times examples are made of the small fry "Criminals", fodder for the fear machine of television, which A) is NOT a press, and B) is owned by the very interests who wish to lock down opportunity and fair competition. Individual states are right now introducing action to sue for damages against tobacco. They say that the medical expense incurred by tobacco users warrants this, and they mean to recoup the losses of the monopolistic Federal Reserve Insurance Interests. My question is this. Once it is shown how badly Americans have been ripped off as far as fair competition in the marketplace is concerned, which means ever since hemp and its products and byproducts were illegally made illegal, and the beneficence of this crop is once again realized as an alternative to fuels and materials production; once the inmates who are serving time for using this natural substance as a recreational drug (mostly as an alternative to the very debilitative alcohol) get released from jail, who is going to sue government for all the lost time and lives spent in jails that were created for no other reason than to restrict fair trade in America? Who? The reason marijuana has not become re-legal so far is because government understands only too well the mistake that was made when they capitulated to William Hearst, and the Duponts and the Mellons when those apes railroaded hemp illegality through the law system by using yellow journalism scare tactics. They have been able to enforce the conditioning through television, but Americans are not really stupid and are waking up. So whos going to pay us back the money that was stolen from us? Where is the money going to come from? Who will pay to tear down the prison "INDUSTRY", which is still being used to restrict fair trade in American markets and the World, and who will pay to have them converted to useful and productive institutions, instead of the holding pens for those who have challenged the elitist criminals in control now? WHO? The lock down is so thorough that surveillance has become the norm among the elite who need every advantage they can lay their hands on, because people really are waking up from their television induced fear/hysteria. Prisons no longer need to be locked buildings and cells. It is possible, and has been well exercised by the super powerful, to make prisoners of anyone, at anytime, by controlling them through surveillance. Look at what is available as far as surveillance equipment is concerned, versus countersurveillance equipment. Had read the affirmation of Adam Peter Chapman and 4. Had read the exhibits referred to therein. According to the order the hearing lasted 2 minutes, from 1400 t0 1402 hours. We believe that the two judges were prepared to sign away a man's liberty without considering the evidence. We anticipate that the judges will claim that the two minutes was a clerical error and that anyway they had read all the documents before they entered the court. It would not surprise us if the two judges were presented with a copy of the order away from the court and signed it without reading any documents. We sincerely believe that the two judges Lord Justice Rose and Mr Justice Brian Smedley paved the way for the unlawful imprisonment of Mr Scriven without following due process. Whatever they say they could not have heard counsel and started the proceedings with a 2 minute hearing. It would have taken 2 minutes for the usual mutual admiration and throat clearing as Counsel positioned his right arm diagonally across his left breast with his outstretched hand pointing over his left shoulder. Lord Chief Justice Bingham has stated that it would not be in the spirit of the law to wait until the human rights legislation came into force before compliance. Yet the two judges permitted an ex-parte hearing in private. They did not allow Mr Scriven an opportunity to argue his defence. Nor did they allow public scrutiny in a case, which can deprive a man of his liberty for a time without limit. This enables the bent authorities to set up a crisis hearing where judges, sitting without a jury, can apply unlawful pressure as before by stationing policemen or tipstaffs in the court to intimidate or arrest Mr Scriven. We have been inundated with letters, faxes, emails and phone calls. These are always appreciated even if they mean that we cannot publish information, which should be published. For example we had a poem from an Irish patriot, Siobhan Hairston. Her sentiments were clear and powerful. It would have helped Blair to understand that, come Orangeman come RUC slaughter, there is only one final solution to the Irish problem; United Ireland. Then we have two octogenarians, Mr & Mrs Masefield (Fax 01308 485729) writing to Chris Mullin at the Home Affairs Committee and to the Prime Minister explaining how Mr Scriven had been exposing the skulduggery of the Lord Chancellor and the judiciary. Mullin, true to form, has moved on to Transport. We consider Mullin to be a traitor to the Irish cause and to the victims of Freemasonry. Bear in mind that his constituency is in the Labour Badlands of the Northeast. Few people know that the Attorney General, the top government law officer, either resigned or was sacked in the cabinet reshuffle. Had he taken a powder one week earlier he would not now be held culpable for seeking to imprison Mr Scriven for contempt of court. MORE ON GEOFFREY SCRIVEN A former Attorney General has a messy private life and was involved in the Lloyd's rackets. Unlawfully, being a person without assets he was a name in Lloyd's syndicates. It appeared, during his tenure of office, that he was not his own master. Questions were asked as to why a Queen's Counsel who was in financial difficulties should take a substantial drop in income to become Attorney General. His repeated abuse of legal processes to promote the interests of the well connected and deprive litigants of justice is well established. In Mr Scriven's case he made the accusation that Mr Scriven had scandalised the court. Courts cannot be scandalised. There was no case to answer but Mr Scriven was persuaded to give, under duress, certain undertakings calculated to protect judges. Now the judges seek to have Mr Scriven committed to prison

In 1974, a special Senate Committee on National Emergencies and Delegated Emergency Powers was alarmed to find that the United States had been governed under emergency authority since 1933. We arrange conspiracy theories in funny little articles and hoarde the articles in drawers, later to join them together when pieces fit. Get enough pieces, I publish them under someone else's name in case they still kill people for spreading anti-authoritarian material. Researching conspiracies is not easy for me as I have the attention span of a gnat, so I need help all the time. YOU CANNOT ask a question of a search engine if you don't already know the answer, or ask for an answer if you don't know the question. That's a problem Luckily, I have smart tekkie webpals, hackers who send me posts, news, clues and URLS. So what else do PC phreaks do on a machine made of silicone, beach sand and water? We SURF. And this is like trying to mine diamonds dodging freeway traffic. You get a lot of lumps of coal and a lot of fenders in your teeth. Example of a lump of coal. Surfing one of the URLS my phreak pals had sent, I arrived at the greatest sounding website. "THE WORLD'S BIGGEST CONSPIRACY", a front page with a great graphic of black void lit by a single, burning candle, really well done JAVA giving the cartoon candle some flickering movement, and a little clickable URL sign like Alice in Wonderland got, on a table with a cookie that said 'EAT ME" only this one says "THE MYSTERIES ARE HERE --- SOMEWHERE. As I say, it was underlined ---meaning it's an URL so I click, go to another blank page with a few inscrutable words. "KEEP SEARCHING" underlined. Tap. Soon I see it's a mobius loop. I go nowhere. It is therein said to be a corruption of "Le Sang Real" - the royal blood,
meaning Christ's blood. Allegedly the blood that escaped on a boat to
France and procreated (three children, James, Jesus and Mary, from memory).
It gets really interesting when you start looking at the Merovingians and
some of the Carolingians, early mediaeval kings of France, who are supposed
to have had some of this bloodline.
The Sang became "Saint" by the process San-greal then Saint. They needed
a code so they started talking about the Holy Grail, i.e. Saint Grail.
All of this allegedly meaning the descendants of JC who are allegedly
waiting in the wings to take over the world as soon as the conditions are
suitably feudal.

And maybe even more, because this final battle, the battle of the occupation, was to be waged in peacetime without the inspiration and drive that's developed in war. In any event we were going to have a hard job with these corrupted and apathetic Germans accustomed to being ordered and to falling in line. They had been the only people in Europe that had taken no organized large-scale action to assist in overthrowing Nazism, even during the last weeks when the war had obviously become hopeless. The French, Norwegians, Yugoslavs, Czechs and Poles and the Hungarians and Roumanians too, had risen up to expel the in invader and to overthrow their native fascists. But the Germans had failed. We had had to liberate them from Nazism. Unfortunately, however, it is not generally known that among the nazified automatons, there were elements at the end of the war that could have been propped up to lead a democratic crusade in Germany. CLAN/FAMILY NAMES Kennedy The Kennedy family became associated with the south-west of Scotland when 'Cunedda', (which means 'grim-headed'), a chieftain of the Votadini (located in what is now Lothian) was sent to establish settlements there at a time when Gaelic was the main language there. The name is particularly associated with Carrick in Ayrshire. In early times it was a forename and therefore is found initially as 'MacKenedi' and the name is found as early as the reign of William the Lion (1165-1214). The Kennedy's claimed to be related to the Earls of Carrick and supported Robert the Bruce who came from that line. In 1372, King Robert II confirmed John Kennedy of Dunure as chief of the clan and in 1457 John's direct descendant, Gilbert, was created Lord Kennedy. He was one of the regents of the infant King James III. The 3rd Lord Kennedy was created Earl of Cassillis but died four years later at Flodden in 1513. The 10th Earl of Cassillis engaged Robert Adam to build the magnificent Culzean Castle at the end of the 18th century. The 11th Earl had settled in America and although he tried to be impartial in the War of Independence, many of his New York properties were confiscated, including Number 1, Broadway which was taken over by George Washington. In the Napoleonic Wars, Sir Clark Kennedy personally captured the eagle and colours of the 105th Regiment of French Infantry at the Battle of Waterloo. Kennedys spread to other parts of Scotland, in particular to Morayshire and Perthshire. Another branch settled in Lochaber and Skye where they became known as Clan Ulric and became a sept of Clan Cameron. The Kennedy name also arose in Ireland (notably the ancestors of President John F Kennedy) and many Irish Kennedys emigrated to Scotland. -Caveat Lector- >> Study: Cybercrime cases up 43 percent By Kevin Poulsen, ZDNet News August 5, 1999 6:54 PM ET Federal law enforcement agencies referred a record number of computer crime cases for prosecution last year, but most of them were rejected by government attorneys, according to a legal journal report released Wednesday. The report, authored by attorney and electronic privacy advocate David Banisar, and based on data obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, appears in this week's Criminal Justice Weekly. It's believed to be the first independent analysis of the government's war on computer crime. In all, investigators from the FBI and other agencies offered 419 computer crime cases to federal prosecutors in 1998, up 43 percent from 1997, and more than three times as many as in 1992. At the same time, prosecutors filed charges in only 83 cases. That ratio of referrals to prosecutions, approximately 5 to 1, is significantly lower than the overall rate for federal prosecutions in all categories. In 1998, Banisar said, there were 132,772 referrals at the federal level, and 82,071 prosecutions, or about one prosecution for every 1.6 referrals. FBI: Hard to prove "Computer crime is terribly hard to prove," says FBI spokesperson Debbie Weierman. "Every one is handled on a case by case basis, and I can't give you a general reason for the difference in figures." According to the report, each year between 1992 and 1998, the Department of Justice has declined to prosecute between 64 percent and 78 percent of the cases brought to them. Forty percent of the rejected cases cited lack of evidence of criminal intent, weak or insufficient admissible evidence, or no evident federal offense. Another 15 percent were referred to state authorities for prosecution. The remaining cases may be outstanding, or reclassified under another category. A former assistant United States attorney said he is not surprised by the results, and that in many ways computer crime cases are unique. "There are serious evidentiary questions and jurisdictional questions in these cases," says Mark Rasch, a former computer crime prosecutor, now working as a computer security consultant for Global Integrity, based in Virginia. "Law enforcement may be presenting you with a perfectly good case, against a defendant in Kuala Lumpur." Moreover, he said, "Juveniles are frequently the ones that get caught. So while the FBI may be able to put together a perfectly cohesive case against a juvenile, that's the kind of case that may be declined by the United States Attorney's office by their discretion." Unique challenges Justice officials hadn't reviewed the statistics, but agreed that there are unique challenges to prosecuting computer crime. In 1998, the average sentence for those convicted was five months, with over half of the defendants receiving no jail time. Since 1992, 196 people have been convicted and 84 imprisoned in cases classified as federal computer crimes. Only 57 cases reached disposition last year, 47 ending in convictions, primarily in plea agreements, and 10 ending with the status of "not successful" -- a category that includes dismissals and not-guilty verdicts. Of the cases that ended in 1998, the FBI initiated the most, with 21 convictions, and eight unsuccessful prosecutions. The Secret Service, Treasury Department and IRS claim the remaining 28 convictions and two failed prosecutions, says Banisar, a columnist for the legal journal, and co-author of The Electronic Privacy Papers. Because referrals can take years to become prosecutions, direct correlation from year to year is a tricky matter, Banisar cautioned. But he said the overall statistics are telling. "For an issue that the federal government is making such a major deal out of, trying to stop computer crime and information warfare, there's remarkably few prosecutions," he said. The title of the book is, "The Mystery of the Holy Grail: Tradition and Legend of the Sacred Chalice." "If Indiana Jones had visited Valencia, he would have paid no attention to old medieval legends, and he would have saved himself all the dangers of 'The Last Crusade,' " Antuñano humorously affirms in the book's opening line. Over the length of 220 pages, the author reviews the tradition that envelops the Sacred Chalice, including archaeological research on its use in the Last Supper, its use by the first Popes of Christianity, it relocation to Spain, medieval legends, its stay in the Monastery of St. John of la Peña, and its first entry into documented history at the end of the 14th century. The author finally brings together the negative publicity and damages it has been subjected to since then, as well as its use by John Paul II during a Mass celebrated in Valencia in November, 1992. According to tradition, the Grail was the chalice from which Jesus and his disciples drank during the Last Supper. It is a proper cup, to which a gold structure with two handles has been added. The piece is 17 centimeters high. The cup is semispherical, about 3.5 inches in diameter and made of dark red agate. Archaeological studies reveal the work was done in a Palestinian or Egyptian workshop between the 4th century B.C. and the 1st century A.D. At the Dawn of Christianity This cup, connected with the first Eucharist, could not have been forgotten after the Redeemer's death, all the more so since the disciples met several times afterwards in the Cenacle. This is the explanation for the Sacred Chalice's appearance in Rome. According to tradition, it was brought from Jerusalem by St. Peter. Two and a half centuries passed, with clear indications that the chalice was used by the early Pontiffs to celebrate Mass. According to Antuñano, "What most impresses the researcher is the Roman liturgical canon of the first Popes. At the moment of consecration, they literally said: 'take this glorious chalice,' referring strictly to 'this' [one]." (Here Antuñano is referring to the official Latin text, "hunc praeclarum calicem." The current U.S. English translation is simply, "the cup.") History records that during the persecution of Emperor Valerian, shortly before his death at the hands of the Romans, Pope Sixtus II gave relics, treasures and money to his deacon Lawrence, a native of Huesca, Spain, who was also martyred, but not before sending the Eucharistic Chalice to his native city, accompanied by a letter. This was in the year 258 or, according to some authors, 261. The cup remained in Huesca until the Moslem invasion. Bishop Audeberto of Huesca left his city with the Sacred Chalice in 713, and took refuge in the Mount Pano caves, where the hermit John of Atares lived. Later, the monastery of St. John of la Peña was founded and developed here. It was from here that a nucleus of determined men left to undertake the re-conquest of Spain from the Moslems. This struggle had epic proportions, which were not ignored by literary creativity. According to historians of literature, this was the origin or source of the famous poems of Chretien de Troyes and Wolfram von Eschenbach, about the hero Percival (Parzival). Eschenbach's epic later inspired Wagner's opera, "Parsifal." In all these poems there is a marvelous Cup, which is called "Graal" or "Grail" and whose link with the Sacred Chalice is easy to understand. The presence of the Sacred Chalice in St. John of la Peña is attested by a document dated December 14, 1134. On September 26, 1399, the Chalice went to Zaragoza for safekeeping, at the request of the King of Aragon, Martin the Human. In the text of offer, which is kept in Barcelona, there is evidence that the Sacred Chalice was sent from Rome with a letter of St. Lawrence. During the reign of Alfonso the Magnanimous, the relic was moved to Valencia. Since March 18, 1437, it has been kept in the Cathedral of that city, according to a document which refers to it as "the Chalice in which Jesus Christ consecrated the blood on the Thursday of the Supper." I have personally experienced several similar animations (fun ones, though, i.e., not sick or morose like the below described back door) that programmers at Microsft built into Win 3.X, so I wouldn't be surprised if MANY such things exist in most software. How large is Win98...about 15-18 Meg? Doesn't that seem a large step up from its predicessors? I don't know for sure, but that always seemed HUGE to me, for efficient code writers and for what the program does that the preceeding products didn't??? --begin forward-- Did you know that Bill Gates' real name is William Henry Gates III? Nowadays, he is known as Bill Gates (III) where III means the order of third. So what's so eerie about this name? Well, if you take all the letters in Bill Gates III and then convert it into ASCII code (American Standard Code for Info Interchange) and then add up all the numbers You will get 666, which is the number of the beast: B = 66 I = 73 L = 76 L = 76 G = 71 A = 65 T = 84 E = 69 S = 83 I = 1 I = 1 I = 1 Add these numbers and they equal 666. If all of his products have some kind of small program embedded, like this "hall of tortured souls", that can give him control to set off nuclear arsenals, create havoc in security systems and financial systems all over the world, etc.; all from his headquarters. This isn't too far from reality. Just using the Internet Explorer may just allow him to map out what you have on your computer bit by bit each time you log on. Perhaps the end of time is near and this is just the tip of the iceberg? Parts for the planes began arriving in North Korea by air in July, and the Stalinist state is assembling the jets in secret bases, the daily Chosun Ilbo said. The respected newspaper cited a high-ranking government official but did not identify the exporting country. The report came amid reported preparations by North Korea to test a long-range missile despite American warnings to scrap the launch. Chosun said South Korea would look into where impoverished North Korea found money to buy the planes. Hit by five years of floods and drought, as well as ongoing economic mismanagement, North Korea is dependent on outside aid to ease widespread food shortages. But concern has persisted among South Korean officials that North Korea may be diverting some of the aid money for military use. ``We are paying close attention to details of the newspaper report'' on the plane purchase, said Capt. Park Kyun-yoel, a spokesman for the South Korean defense ministry. North Korea's 1.1 million-strong military, the world's fifth largest and the backbone of the communist regime, relies largely on weapons from the former Soviet Union. The two Koreas remain technically at war after the 1950-53 Korean War ended without a peace treaty. Their border is the world's most heavily armed. Leaders of the group say they will use the location, in San Marino, Calif., to handle its litigation stemming from what they broadly call Chinagate, the involvement of foreign money in the 1996 presidential campaign. Opening the office made sense, they said, because many of the figures involved in the litigation live in Southern California. Judicial Watch said it also intended to begin monitoring, on a state level, the performance of judges and judicial "activism," a term usually used to describe liberal judges who apply the law in unusual ways. "We'll try to monitor and provide a balanced report on what is really going on in the courtroom," said Mike Pendleton, Judicial Watch's lawyer here. The organization's leaders say they have no political agenda and are only trying to root out corruption and encourage judges to take a restrained approach to the law. But Democrats in California see the group as a Republican front. In a book to be published later this year, Nancy Gallagher details the plan called the "Vermont Eugenics Survey." The 12-year survey, developed by an independent team of social scientists, studied "good" and "bad" families in the state and listed those which it determined needed to be eliminated, Gallagher told The Boston Globe for an article in Saturday's editions. The report was circulated among policy-makers at the time and led to the passage of a 1931 sterilization law. The law resulted in the sterilization of several hundred poor, rural Vermonters, Abenaki Indians and others deemed unfit to procreate, the Globe reported. Vermont was hardly alone in embracing eugenics, the science of human breeding that branched off from social Darwinism. The concept was to manage the misery of the poor. Studies had suggested domestic abuse and alcoholism were thought to be caused by recessive genes and inbreeding. Thus, by reducing the number of babies born to sick or unwed parents, and by attracting desirable settlers, social scientists thought they could a build a healthier society, the Globe reported. Gallagher said Vermonters seemed willing to accept eugenic solutions. She said public records of the eugenics project reflect an abhorrent mindset of scientists. One, Dr. Henry Perkins of the University of Vermont, came up with "pedigrees of degeneracy," Gallagher said. In 1931, Perkins' work prompted Vermont to become the 31st state to enact a sterilization law for the handicapped or "the feeble-minded." Records do not show the extent to which the sterilization policy was enforced or how the option was presented to its subjects. The laws were rolled back in the 1960s and 1970s. Gallagher, a 50-year old former biology teacher, said she initially hesitated pursuing her thesis because she knew some families would find their relatives among those the scientists considered unfit. Although similar nuclear contamination occurred at a number of other sites around the country in the years before worker safety was a top priority in U.S. industrial plants, the Post said in Sunday's editions that one thing setting apart the case of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant was that workers did not know they were handling plutonium. Instead, they thought they were dealing only with much less potent uranium, the newspaper said. Unsuspecting workers inhaled the more dangerous radiation in the form of plutonium-laced dust brought into the plant for 23 years, beginning in the mid-1950s, as part of a government experiment to recycle used nuclear reactor fuel. The government and its contractors did not inform workers about the hazards for decades, even though employees in the 1980s began to notice a string of cancers, the Post said. Citing its own investigation and sealed court documents, the Post said radioactive contaminants from the plant spilled into ditches and eventually seeped into creeks, a state-owned wildlife area and private wells. Plant workers contended in court documents that radioactive waste also was deliberately dumped into nearby fields, abandoned buildings and a landfill not licensed for hazardous waste, according to the story. The Post said the Energy Department contends that worker exposure was minimal and that contamination is being cleaned up. But it notes that a lawsuit filed under seal in June by three current plant employees alleges that radiation exposure was a problem at the Paducah facility well into the 1990s. The Post said its investigation found that contractors hid facts about plutonium contamination. It said the June suit was filed under a law that allows employees to collect payment for exposing fraud against the government and has been kept under seal to give the Justice Department time to decide whether join the suit or to begin a criminal investigation. The report said none of the private companies named in the suit has been served with it and would not comment. The Post noted that Paducah is just the latest DOE facility to be hit by lawsuits and revelations of contamination. It said cleaning up the Kentucky plant is expected to cost $240 billion and take at least 75 years. U.S. District Judge Garland Burrell sentenced 52-year-old B.E. Smith to 27 months in federal prison, the first such sentence since California voters passed the "Compassionate Use Act" legalizing medical uses of marijuana in 1996. "Every day I'm in prison will be seen by me as another day in service of my nation," Smith said before sentencing. "I forgive you for what you're about to do to me." Smith's case marked the latest clash over medical marijuana as California seeks to resolve the conflict between federal laws banning possession and cultivation of the drug and its own Proposition 215, the pioneering state measure allowing its medical use. Smith, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, obtained a prescription for medical marijuana after the state law was passed in 1996. He subsequently established himself as a "caregiver" to nine other patients, which under the state measure would allow him to cultivate cannabis plants. Long an outspoken champion of individual freedoms, Smith notified county supervisors and the local sheriff that he was planting 87 cannabis plants, and even posted a sign in the middle of the field identifying it as a medical marijuana garden. In Smith's trial, however, Burrell granted a motion by federal prosecutors seeking to ban any defense arguments related to the state law or to assertions about marijuana's alleged medical benefits. Smith's lawyers said Friday they would appeal Smith's conviction. "This decision demonstrates the lack of compassion that gave rise to the need for Proposition 215 and medical marijuana initiatives in other states," attorney Thomas Ballanco said. A number of other U.S. states have followed California's lead and passed state measures approving limited medical uses for marijuana. But the federal government has vowed to assert the primacy of federal anti- narcotics laws, leaving the issue in a legal limbo. As we went by Stonehenge we got our first look at the Lightning that we got to watch in the pattern at Boscombe Down. We also got to see British Army troops out on exercises, complete with all sorts of hardware, including a team in camouflage with some sort of smallish rocket launcher or similar weapon tucked into the hedge right beside the pull-out where we stopped to figure out exactly where we were. We all dealt with this rather uncomfortable situation by mutually ignoring each other except for one fellow who came over and took our AA map back to the team for a few minutes, returning it with the route carefully marked, all with a minimum of conversation. (I should mention that we also invariably ended up in West Germany, going from Frankfurt-am-Main to Braunschweig and back, just in time for Autumn Reforger and the BAOR equivalent, both of which brought the autobahns to a slow crawl all along the route.) The arrangement between Boscombe Down and the Empire Test Pilot School is essentially identical to the arrangement between the Air Force Flight Test Center and the USAF Test Pilot School or Naval Air Warfare Center and the USN Test Pilot School. I didn't think there was any other way to do it, as no self-respecting organization would rely on students to do their test flying. I certainly didn't meant to imply that ETPS was anything more than a tenant organization. In a book to be published later this year, Nancy Gallagher details the plan called the "Vermont Eugenics Survey." The 12-year survey, developed by an independent team of social scientists, studied "good" and "bad" families in the state and listed those which it determined needed to be eliminated, Gallagher told The Boston Globe for a story in Saturday's editions. The report was circulated among policymakers at the time and led to the passage of a 1931 sterilization law. The law resulted in the sterilization of several hundred poor, rural Vermonters, Abenaki Indians and others deemed unfit to procreate, the Globe reported. Vermont was hardly alone in embracing eugenics, the science of human breeding that branched off from social Darwinism. The concept was to manage the misery of the poor. Studies had suggested domestic abuse and alcoholism were thought to be caused by recessive genes and inbreeding. Thus, by reducing the number of babies born to sick or unwed parents, and by attracting desirable settlers, social scientists thought they could a build a healthier society, the Globe reported. Gallagher said Vermonters seemed willing to accept eugenic solutions. She said public records of the eugenics project reflect an abhorrent mindset of scientists. One, Dr. Henry Perkins of the University of Vermont, came up with "pedigrees of degeneracy," Gallagher said. In 1931, Perkins' work prompted Vermont to become the 31st state to enact a sterilization law for the handicapped or "the feeble-minded." Records do not show the extent to which the sterilization policy was enforced or how the option was presented to its subjects. The laws were rolled back in the 1960s and 70s. Gallagher, a 50-year old former biology teacher, said she initially hesitated pursuing her thesis because she knew some families would find their relatives among those the scientists considered unfit. A proposed bill that bans Internet discussions of the use of unapproved drugs and links to such sites has not just normally mellow potheads but also journalist groups in a huff. "This is just legislators spinning their wheels," says Andrew, a San Francisco Web system administrator who says he enjoys a good bong hit three times a week. "It offends me that legislators have nothing better to do than grandstand since our society has real problems that have real solutions," says Andrew, who asked that his last name not be used. About a dozen senators have signed on to support the Methamphetamine Anti-Proliferation Act, but its primary leaders are Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat and longtime Internet regulatory enthusiast, and Orrin Hatch, the arch-conservative Utah Republican who chairs the Senate Judiciary committee. If the measure becomes law, it will create a new federal felony -- punishable by a fine and three years in prison -- that covers Web pages that link to sites with information about where to buy "drug paraphernalia" such as roach clips, bowls, and bongs. Even editors of news organizations that publish articles about drug culture and link to related sites will be subject to arrest and prosecution. "It is going to be a tough thing for news organizations, but more importantly it strikes at the news consumer who wishes to test information provided by the media against their own experience," says Paul McMasters, First Amendment ombudsman at the Freedom Forum, a foundation devoted to freedom of the press. "Why would anyone want to keep people from finding the truth out for themselves or linking to facts?" "You would be liable," says Eugene Volokh, a law professor at UCLA. "It's a very serious problem for people who want to link for legitimate news purposes." Groups fighting for drug legalization are also upset about a second portion of the Hatch-Feinstein bill. It creates another felony, punishable by up to 10 years in the federal pen, banning distribution "by any means" of information about "the manufacture or use of a controlled substance" if the recipient might use it to get high. "It is yet another illustration of politicians trying to escalate a war they can't win," says David Boaz, vice president of the libertarian Cato Institute. "The dirty little secret that maybe nobody has told Dianne Feinstein is that it's not very hard to grow marijuana." "If you had links on your Web site to sites like High Times magazine, you could be threatened with a count of indirect advertising," said R. Keith Stroup, head of NORML. Banning linking is close to banning sales of all marijuana paraphernalia, says Dana Larsen, editor of the Vancouver-based Cannabis Culture magazine. "Preventing linking to sites selling drug paraphernalia cuts down on sales [of] these items. I think that the federal government is definitely afraid of the power of the Web to spread uncensored information that they can't control." But Larsen believes that even if Hatch and Feinstein get their way, their plan will disappear into smoke. "Ultimately, this law will be selectively enforced It is totally impossible to ban all linking to drug-related sites. The Web is too large," Larsen says. The Church of Scientology -- normally an ardent opponent of all illicit drugs -- is, for once, not eager to embrace a measure designed to limit their use. "When you attempt to cut a communication line, you get big problems," says the group's San Francisco director, Jeff Quiros. "You can't block communication without getting upset and in a turmoil. Not talking about drugs, limiting the education to drugs, is to go in the opposite direction of understanding. People need understanding in order to gain judgment." The Feinstein-Hatch collaboration is not unique. The two combined to push forth the "Dirty Pixels" law of 1996 that made it a felony to possess computer-generated images of naked children. Feinstein has tried with similar anti-drug online measures in the past. Last year she introduced a bill -- that ultimately didn't go anywhere -- designed to limit online drug paraphernalia sales. 'Secession, if it comes, must come from the electorate and it must be a peaceful, orderly and constitutional process' George Kalas The Southern Party, which unlike other separatist movements of generations past claims to oppose white-supremacy ideologies, will seek to place candidates on local ballots in up to 16 states in the 2000 elections, including all the states of the old Confederacy. "I welcome you here to this historic occasion to announce the formation of the Southern Party, dedicated to limited government, low taxes, maximum individual liberty, a free market and self-determination for Dixie," Southern National Committee board member Ron Holland said. Holland was flanked by men wearing Civil War uniforms on a platform draped with an oversized Confederate flag. The Southern Party is an outgrowth of the League of the South, a Southern nationalist group headquartered in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which formed a committee last November to explore the creation of a new political party. Despite adopting the Confederate battle flag as one of its symbols, party leaders say they'll try to realize their goal of an independent Southern nation not through violence or overthrow of the U.S. government, but through the ballot box. The party aims to eventually elect governors and legislative majorities in Southern states, which would then vote to withdraw from the United States. "We are often asked if our affinity for the Confederate national symbols of Southern sovereignty are also indicative of an attitude of racial malice towards people of non-European origin, or racial bigotry towards people of non-Christian faith," Southern Party chairman George Kalas of Texas said. "The simple answer to this question is a firm no. Southerners are not a race, they are a people," he said. "Secession, if it comes, must come from the electorate and it must be a peaceful, orderly and constitutional process." Whether or not the Southern Party becomes an electoral force to be reckoned with, its other policies may resonate with some voters. The party platform calls for a decentralized federal government and increased states' rights, supports the right to bear arms, and a halt to immigration and affirmation action. If that sounds like a conservative Republican agenda, it's no coincidence. Kalas worked on both of commentator Pat Buchanan's presidential campaigns, but says the Republican Party has simply given lip service to these positions. The party is registered in nine Southern states, and has been contacted by Bob Smith, a two-term U.S. Senator running as independent candidate for President from New Hampshire seeking its support, party officials said. Still, University of North Carolina sociologist John Shelton Reed, one of the nation's foremost experts on Southern culture, doubts the secessionist strategy will succeed. "I'd be very surprised if in the short run, they gather a great deal of popular support," he says. "Polls show single-digit support for Southern independence and I don't think it's a topic that most people have thought about much, seriously." By Reed's count, there are dozens of third-party movements in the United States, including independence parties in Alaska and Hawaii. "It's a mistake to take them too seriously," he says. If you buy Icke's book, you can get the same information as contained in the videos, plus plenty of good laughs. Icke's "The Biggest Secret", IMHO, is another fine example of misinformation-- Pieces of truth, carefully and sparingly woven throughout an abundance of absolute rubbish. This method of distributing misinformation appears to be the most popular, as the minds of the mindless will then place the pieces of truth in the same category as that which nakedly appears to be the excrement of large horned male animals. Icke's book is only helping further the *actual* Agenda... It does so, by helping readers to think that all conspiracy theories belong in the same category as those who might subscribe to some of his book's more outlandish statements. Moreover, most people will never read Icke's book-- they will only hear about it. When they hear about it, they probably only hear the real outrageous claims. So..even the people who *already* thought conspiracy theories to be silly, will continue thinking this all the more...
