The searching on the SHARE website is a bit squirrelly. Searching for 2.1

search term starting with a number. 6.3 for z/vm and 5.1 for cics have the same

out, normally right after the shift supervisor put their beverage cup on it.
The ribbon stopped along with the paper when overprinting. If done with gusto,
overprinting would saw the ribbon in two. The paper tapes for forms control
were like gold with special forms. In a pinch could be duplicated with a hole
punch and cellophane tape.

Re: DASD INDEX Display

2013-08-21 Thread efinnell15
Most of the time this is something is 'broke'.

A general scenario is IEHLIST of the pack to look for overlaps. If restoring a
file to
another pack it is helpful to now the UCAT where it was. ADRDSSU print with
DUMP of VVDS should show DSN and UCAT. Then to further narrow it down IDCAMs
DIAGNOSE for UCAT or VVDS can point out discrepancies.

If the DIRF bit is flicked on you should see a message in the LOG INDEXED VTOC
disabled.
In the olden days we would run batch jobs to allocate temp dsns on packs in
question to
rebuild VTOC, but haven't done this in many moons-since RAID 5. If it's not a
'size' problem can just run CNVTIX to rebuild the Indexed VTOC. PDS86 and ISMF
indicate VTOC construct with I.

balanced tree sort hurled on large programs. Sperry said the code was frozen

lines of Fortran with no instruction modification. Definitely a tad slower but
would allow the big modeling pgms to compile and run!
