Permissions for BRIANDFOY on CPAN-Audit
When I view permissions on CPAN-Audit, I see VTI as the primary, and BRIANDFOY and BDFOY as co-maintainers. However, the indexer just complained about my latest upload as BRIANDFOY. Blackhole the email to rkobes@cpan?
A long time ago some of us stepped up to take over Randy's PAUSE account after his passing. Right now rkobes uses my email address, which really isn't a big deal, but it's been awhile and I don't think anyone is trying to actually reach Randy. Maybe it's time to black hole his account.
The URI module seems to have disappeared
* cpan can't find it because it's not 02packages. * cpanm doesn't find it in cpanmetadb and falls back to BackPAN. * It's 404 on MetaCPAN https://metacpan.org/pod/URI * PAUSE permissions doesn't find it: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=peek_dist_perms&pause99_peek_dist_perms_by=de&pause99_peek_dist_perms_query=URI&pause99_peek_dist_perms_sub=Submit I also opened https://github.com/libwww-perl/URI/issues/146
Taking over the Cache::Memcached Perl module
Hey Brad, Thanks for Memcached. Some people are still using it! There's some love that we'd like to apply to the Cache::Memcached module, and you are still the primary maintainer in CPAN. I'm willing to take over primary maintainership, but co-maintainer would be fine too. Either way, that needs some action from you. 1. Easy way: you probably haven't interacted with PAUSE in forever, and don't want to go through all that. If you email modules@perl.org (CC-ed) and tell them that you'd like to transfer permissions to BRIANDFOY, the admins can take care of it for you. 2. Harder way: log in to pause.perl.org, then go to https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=move_dist_primary . From there, transfer Cache::Memcached to BRIANDFOY Thanks for everything you've done, and I hope to keep some of it alive.
Taking over HTML::Tree from KENTNL
Hi all, I saw that Kent's account was converted to a custodial account. I'd like to take up the maintenance of HTML::Tree as BRIANDFOY. Thanks,
Re: Taking over CPAN::Audit
If Renée wants to handle the CPAN::Audit module, I'm happy to do the data collection side it depends on. My first goal is a simple update with the code that already exists, and a way to make quick releases with new data. I don't care who makes the actual releases though. Neil (and modules@) - I'd appreciate being a co-maintainer too, but there's enough work to go around. Renée - if you like what I did with the fork in my CPAN account, we can use that and I'll make you a collaborator. If you want to fork the original yourself and do it differently, that's fine too.
Taking over CPAN::Audit
Hey Viacheslav, I'm interested in updating CPAN::Audit. I saw that the module and database repos are read-only. If you are open to that, you can transfer first come to me or respond to let the pause maintainers know that you agree to that. Thanks for the useful tool that some people want to keep using! -- brian d foy http://www.pair.com/~comdog/
Taking over Unicode::Unihan
Dan Kogai and I talked about me taking over Unicode::Unihan and he's marked it as ADPOTME. Can someone make me the primary maintainer? Thanks, -- brian d foy http://www.pair.com/~comdog/

I approve this transfer.
Permissions for Business::ISSN
I thought I had some sort of permissions for Business::ISSN (since about 2008). The indexer says I don't have permissions for this module now. Perhaps one of the admins knows what happened or how to fix it. The recent versions came from me but apparently they are no longer available through the CPAN client. I only noticed because some users complained. I couldn't View Permissions for "Exact match" or "SQL LIKE" since those pages return the menu summary again. I didn't see anything in the archives about this module either. Thanks, -- brian d foy http://www.pair.com/~comdog/
Fwd: Accidental update to Tie::Cycle
This is very curious. I don't recall ever making someone a co-maintainer. -- Forwarded message -- From: Panayotopoulos, Alex Date: Tue, Mar 21, 2017 at 7:45 AM Subject: Accidental update to Tie::Cycle To: "bd...@cpan.org" Cc: "i...@theperlreview.com" Hi brian, Whilst working through the book *Intermediate Perl*, chapter 21 exercises, I added the file Tie/Cycle.pm to my module Acme::AXP::Utils as directed, expecting my submission to be rejected. Instead, not only was the upload accepted, but I was made co-maintainer of the Tie::Cycle module, and my version was indexed on CPAN as the canonical version. Whoops! I’ve since deregistered as co-maintainer, and deleted this version (0.04) of my package from PAUSE, but I don’t know whether this will result in it being taken off CPAN as well. In any case, it’s not due to be deleted until this Friday. Luckily, I did not change any functionality in my upload, so all that’s happened is that it’s being distributed under the incorrect module. I just thought I’d let you know of the issue, and warn you that this is likely to happen again with future readers! "About PAUSE" probably needs an update for the indexer.
I haven't kept up with the indexer rules, but I think the About PAUSE page is out of date. Who wants to own ExtUtils::Manifest? I was cleaning up some stuff in Randy Kobes account today and noticed he was the modulelist owner of the module (although it's now ADOPTME). The module is being actively maintained, so that's not a problem, but it has no lead maintainer and I'd like to get it out of ADOPTME, the current primary owner.

So, I have to create a dependency on a module (Mojolicious) that I didn't actually use. People will say that this shouldn't be a problem, but we thought that about LWP too before it broke out several namespaces. I think you and John can work that out to transfer names and permissions, but if you need help let us know.
