[SlimDevices: Plugins] iPlayer: Can't resolve IP address
I suspect that this might be a SqueezeNetwork problem but am not certain. I don't *choose* to use SqueezeNetwork and run a local SqueezeServer. I can't call up any channels via iPlayer and iPlayer Extras plugins. None connect. Boom screen states Can't resolve IP address as does Server logs. From Boom and Radio interfaces I can't call up My Apps either. Just times out. Logs indicate that the IP address for post.audioscobbler.com is not resolved either. On my Radio the BBC Radio applet works fine. Both devices will happily switch from my local server to SqueezeNetwork. Any help or pointers very appreciated. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SqueezeControl for Android announcement and support thread
What a fantastic app. I've only had my Samsung Galaxy Apollo since Christmas and, having found the app yesterday, it's already my favourite! Two tiny problems: 1 - Album art doesn't work (my album art is stored as 'folder.jpg' files in each album's folder) 2 - Downloading music files to my phone results in mp3 files of 0kb However, for controlling my music, the app is perfect! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster problem following upgrade to 7.5.1
I've been having problems with this, too, although I didn't notice it until recently. Previously, I had a Boom, and two Classics 3s and had been upgrading each version of SBS as they were released, eventually arriving at 7.5.2. Yesterday, I added a Touch to my network (temporarily replacing one of my Classic 3s). I reinstalled SBS from scratch (7.5.2), as well as the plugins I use, including IR-Blaster 5.6.1. I know IR Blaster will not work with Touch, but now it won't work with my Classic 3 that I used to use it with, too. When I choose IR-Blaster from the Player settings menu for my Classic 3, it jumps back to the previous settings page. When I choose IR-Learning wizard, it shows This player does not support IR-Blaster functionality. I know IR-Blaster doesn't work with Touch. I am trying to use it with my Classic 3, which I have used the plugin successfully with before. If this is a version-related problem, my previous install must have survived the upgrades. It's only showing up now that I've done a clean install of SBS 7.5.2 (and 7.5.1). As a previous poster mentioned, maybe I'll try 7.5.0. -- mbg mbg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3200 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81585 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I've just posted release 1.1.1 of the Spotify plugin to the repository. This release is focussed on improved playback stablity and wider server support. I encourage everyone to update and provide feedback as I will be focussing support on this version. Major new features: - reduce loading time for next track when playing a playlist (only of benefit if you leave the playlist to play, can reduce time connecting to next track) - attempt to reduce repeated rebuffering events from slow spotify servers - pcm based streaming in addition to flac streaming for servers without flac library (for linux mainly) - ability to disable flac encode via settings, file types if you prefer not to use flac decode on your players - native linux64 bit support - linux glibc 2.3.x support (e.g. CentOS4) - automatic selection of alternative helper binaries (apple, linux) - to detect appropriate architecture/lack of flac library Please post positive feedback here on a per os basis so I can confirm all options are working (there are now 1 x windows, 2 x mac and 4 x linux binaries across all the platforms - so it would be good to confirm they all work!) If you have previously had a version of 1.1.1 installed from my test repository, this is an updated version from the test release. Please uninstall the test version and remove the test repository from your serve configuration. Then install the new 1.1.1 version. Rebuffering Several people have reported this over the last weekend holiday period. This appears to be congestion at the spotify server end. You may not experience the same thing on the Spotify PC based client as it uses peer-peer connections for streaming rather than direct streaming from a Spotify server. This latest version of the plugin tries to reduce the number of times this occurs. It requires the latest version of squeezebox server to help it do this. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Xmradio Online Plugin on OSX snowleopard
Hi, I'm new to squeezebox, just installed the squeezebox server v7.5.2 and I enabled 3rd party plugins and installed the xm online plugin. I went into the settings of the xm plugin, and put in my login info. I restarted the server and I can see the xmradio entry, when I clicked on it, I can see the stations, but when I try to play one, nothing happens. Next I uninstalled the squeezebox server by stopping the server deleting all the entries listed on one of the FAQs and started over. I installed the server again, enabled the plugin, but when I went to the settings for the plugin it still had my info. Did I not delete everything? Anyway, this time I can see the xmradio link on the server, but when I click on it, nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling a couple of times with the same effect. I've noticed another oddity with my setup (SBS 7.6 on OS X 10.6.5, iPhone 3GS 4.2.1). When I launch the app on my phone the CPU usage on the perl process on the Mac spikes to near 100% for quite some time, and on the phone, the contents of the current playlist take a very long time (about a minute for a playlist of 200 items) to show up, in batches of 25 at a time. I don't seem to recall in the past it taking quite so long for ipeng to acquire the current playlist from the SBS, nor it trashing the SBS so much (to the point where playback is stuttered and interrupted. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks mherger for developing this great plugin - it's a fantastic feature that really should be a part of the core SqueezeCenter in future releases. I'm running SqueezeCenter 7.5.1 on my Windows Home Server and have setup the gallery plugin for use on my Duet Controller. It works but won't browse randomly even when I adjust the ImageViewer setting to random. I'd like all pics to be displayed upright/portrait as I have the Duet sitting in the charger base and at the moment some pictures are rotated, I'm happy to have the photos be smaller or cropped in order to keep them vertical, is there a way of achieving that? I'm also having problems with some photos not displaying (I get the check connection message) but haven't figured out yet which ones this happens to as sometimes when I retry it works. Is there a relatively stable release of 7.6 out there? If so, I'd be happy to give that a go to see if it helps as I can live with a few bugs if need be. OK, I've been through a big number of tests now. Admittedly, this is not exactly the same code base from the current release versions but right now I simply can't reproduce conditions under which iPeng stays active. I _did_ however see the power drain phenomenon, too, albeit not always fully reproducible. I'm still not 100% convinced that this is _not_ related to iPhone/iPad for some reason keeping the WiFi enabled (and communicating) This can explain even the stays warm phenomenon and it would also explain that iPeng is immediately available whenever you disable the screen saver. The server connection can take well under a second, it's the WiFi startup that will usually cause delays. It's hard to know what you're talking about, or give any advice, when your messages don't contain much information and the link you refer to isn't valid. .pm files are Perl modules. All of SBS is built on Perl modules, as are plugins. Plugins are generally installed on the computer that is running SBS, not on the Squeezebox itself.
