CSHello

1999-07-12 Thread Piper
Hi My name is Monica, 47 yr old female with CFIDS, also diagnosed with
Bechets (very similiar immune disorders). I learned over a decade ago the
only way to treat my ills was natural medicine, that traditional,
conventional medicine only made me more ill.
I had a wonderful shiatsu doctor from Japan who saved my life. Been out of
it since she died actually.

I heard about CS quit a long while ago and must admit until I read on the
forum of Freerepublic.com, that I didn't know we could buy it and the best
news make it ourselves with buying a CS generator.

Here is where I'd like input.
It is very confusing who has the best and correct geneartor to buy. They all
claim to.
All I know is I want one, I need one, we have many immune sicknesses in my
large family. Alot of dysbiosis and abdominal ills that I know CS will help.
I heard about the premise for CS many years ago when a doctor was trying to
get the FDA to listen to his nearly free costing cure for Cancer, which has
almost struck every member of my family. But the FDA put the cabosh on this
MD , he was from Ohio.

I cared for a terminally ill mother who died here at home not long ago and
always tried to find out what this doctor did or had. Also another MD from
Texas with a Polish name was pretty amazing. Well now I know CS is what the
MD from Ohio was speaking of and it is too late for my Mom but there are so
many to help by having a generator. All the input will be very well
appreciated!
Thank You

Re: CSRe: l-tryptophan

1999-07-12 Thread Bill Schramm
Tryptophan is one of the essential amino acids found in foods. It is not an
artificial chemical. Supplements of most of the essential amino acids such
as phenylalanine, arginine, lysine, etc. are available at health food stores
and some are alleged to have therapeutic properties.

Many years ago tryptophan supplements were sold as an aid for
anxiety/insomnia and from my point of view were equally effective as
artificial chemicals in Sominex and other products which were subsequently
banned as carcinogenic (The brand sominex no longer contains
methylpyrilene maleate)

Unfortunately a few people got a rare and potentially fatal blood disorder
(eosinophilia) from a batch of Tryptophan which I believe was made in
Mexico. Although from my point of view this reaction was due to some
impurity in the process, the FDA inexplicably banned tryptophan for human
consumption.

Guess there is not enough profit in a natural product to run through the FDA
testing program and get it back on the market.

I beleie the offending product was made in Japan. At any rate they had just
changed their process, and a chemical they were using in the extraction was
being left in the product. This toxic impurity was what was causing the
problem.

Guess there is not enough profit in a natural product to run through the FDA
testing program and get it back on the market.

Since it is a natural product, testing should not be necessary. I think the
problem is that it is not patentable, so it is cheaper and safer solution to the
patented chemicals that are marketed by big companies. Just like CS. Outlawing
it was an illegal act by FDA as far as I can tell.

It was the Showa Denko corporation in Japan, and the

major parts of the production process. There is no
doubt that it was CONTAMINATION that caused the
problems, and NOT L-Tryptophan itself.

CSRe: MSM and DMSO

1999-07-12 Thread BROOKS BRADLEY
  Hello Terry.
In answer to your inquiry, I offer the following:
DMSO was isolated by a Russian named Alexander Saytzeff,
in 1866. The real seminal work with this substance was conducted by two
Americans; Stanley W. Jacob, M.D., and Robert J Herschler (former
Applications Research for the Chemical Products Division of Crown
Zellerbach Corp., Camas, Washington (circa 1960-1971).
Without going into great and/or excruiating detail, I will
simply say that; to my knowledge NO HUMAN BEING HAS EVER DIED AS A DIRECT
RESULT OF TOXICITY FROM DMSO! I am familiar with dozens of inuendos,
spins, slanted journalism, etc., articles in the alleopathic press
outletsbut not one actual, proveable, documented case involving a
post-mortem substantiation. Do understand, we do not have access to all
of the medical journal literature, world-wide, but to a large part
thereof. Only one case of published documentation,
so-called...have I seen personally. It was a reference in Lancet,
the respected British journal; and the article claimed that an Irish
woman had died of complications caused by the use of DMSO. Strangely,
however, there was no corroborating medical documentation of an objective
nature.
Dr. Jacob was involved directly, and indirectly, in
observing the effects of DMSO onliterallythousands of patients.
He reports NOT A SINGLE CASE of toxic-induced death. Actually, he
reported NO CASES of toxic reactionat allfrom the DMSO itself.
I am totally bewildered by the, almost, total absence of
knowledge by the lay-public, about what DMSO ACTUALLY IS and what its
mechanism of action isand its TRACK RECORD as a benign substance
in a --SOLITARY--setting.
There are a number of books on DMSO; one by Dr. William
C. Douglass, M.D. is quite good. However, the most informative (but
somewhat dated in portions) is a 1973 publication, The Persecuted
Drug--The Story of DMSO , by Pat McGrady, Sr. The book can,
frequently, be found at Half-Priced book stores and is well worth
readingit is well-written, accurately informative and
well-documented. It will reveal the true---and complete---history of
DMSO up to 1973.
Due to continuing institutionalized resistance since that
time, very little constructive research has transpired within the
conventional medical community (NONE).
It is difficult for me to be completely objective about this
situation, as my feelings become quite visceral when I reflect upon the
past occurrences/treatment of this substanceand its
derivations..by the FDA, AMA, The Captive Press, etc.
I make no personal recommendations as to the efficacy of DMSO,
MSM, or
related compounds; but will inform you that in nearly 35 years of use,
both in vitro and in vivo, on a wide variety of mammals.including
myself.I have never observed ANY toxic reactions directly attributable
to DMSO as a stand-alone substance. It can, however, enhance the
toxicity of other substances, simply because of its nature as a superb
transporter/solvent/surface-tension reducer and organic emulsifier.
Our research has indicated that the mode of operation for
DMSO and MSM is identical. Additionally, the purity standards are
identical for veterinary and human useages. We use it on our animals,
both externally and internallyprimarily as a carrier for other
substances and in joint-lubricant enhancing protocols.
A departing admonition, if I maythe next time someone
relates an off-hand, sidewalk-consultation about ANY controversial
substance, just ask them to produce the data or to identify their
source..in some detail. You will, in most cases, be met with a
deafening wall of silence.
Please forgive the over-kill in my response; but this,
particular, subject does strike a nerve in my psyche.
I do hope there is some useful information within
this epistle.
Sincerely. Brooks Bradley.
Terry Wayne wrote:

 Brooks,
I can get DMSO from a local feed store, but they expressed concern
about what I was doing with it, since it is so toxic. Are there
concerns about DMSO? Is MSM safer? (I'll bet it's not cheaper!) Why do
the feed stores sell it? How would I use it on my animals?
 Thanks,
 Terry Wayne

alkaline between 9-10 in about 10-15 minutes. A phenylthaline (sp?) solution
was supposed to have been enclosed for testing PH but the little bottle was
empty.
The only thing that for sure didn't work was the water spout! I made the
ionized water and depressed the alkaline knob to get water from the spout and
nothing happened. Same on the other side. I emptied the water and looked

I plan to return the device tomorrow and try the other one. If it is

Re: CSSinus Infection

1999-07-12 Thread Marsha Hallett

need advice...I was going to buy CS at local health food store. should I
rinse the
sinuses with a solution including CS or ingest it ? Can someone recommend
the proper
ratio of CS to water and other ingredients if a rinse is recommended ?

You can do both! My friend uses a saline sprayer to spritz CS into her
nostrils, she reports it is really helping! Taking some internally will help
boost the immune system so that you won`t have any more infections, and even
allergies are much improved. I used to really suffer with allergies, not any
more!
If you`d like to make your own CS it is really easy, and is a LOT cheaper,
a few cents a gallon versus 20 bucks for a 4 ounce bottle.
Here`s how:
Get 4 nine-volt batteries, (lithiums last 4 times longer than alkalines, if
you can afford the initial expense, about 28 bucks.)
2 pairs of alligator clips, (each pair is connected by a wire)
2 five inch long pieces of .999 fine silver wire, 14 gauge
2 cups of distilled water
a glass measuring cup, to measure and make in the same cup
a water bottle to store the CS in.
(I usually have silver wire to sell, at cost, for 5 bucks. I`ll need an
address if you want some, or I can send the phone number of the jewelry
supplier I use. They only sell by the ounce.)
Rinse the cup and storage bottle with distilled water (dw) to get rid of any
dust, soap residue or whatever.
Measure out 2 cups of dw.
Connect the four batteries together, top to top. Connect the silver wires to
the batteries using the clips. Drop the silver wires into the water. Keep
them about 1 inch apart, about the distance of the handle on the cup.
Let it sit about one hour total. If you get a silver oxide buildup, wipe it
off with a paper towel. Any that drops into the water is harmless.
You will see bubbles on one wire, the oxides on the other, and maybe you`ll
see the faint golden clouds forming, that is the colloid!
Pour the finished CS into the storage bottle.
Take a swallow a day as a preventive, three for an active infection. Use
topically too; in the eyes it is mild and really stops the itchiness of hay
fever.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I`m really glad to help!!
Marsha in Vallejo

many bubbles come from the wire at this point, lovely clean wire,

Found copper particles on the bottom of the jar, no visible copper in the
water, question how do i test the ppm of copper coloid ??
anyone know ?

CSsinus infections

1999-07-12 Thread Kato109
Hi Sheila,
the products I used were made by Innovative Natural Products and they have
them at almost every health food store here in LA. I don't know if I believe
that they really had the high ppm they say they do - but they sure worked
fast.
The nasal spray is called Silver Aloe and I just sprayed it every hour or so
for a day - although I have since been told to take a dropperful of the
liquid CS and put it in each nostril with your head upside down by your knees
so that it will drain into your frontal sinuses. I've started doing that
since I'm convinced that a colony of yeasties living in my sinuses and ears
is part of why my candida just won't leave completely. I also have been
putting a few drops in my eyes in the morning before I pout my lenses in and
my eyes have stopped itching. And I'm putting some in my ears as well and
they no longer feel like they are oozing from inside. So we'll see what
happens -- but I am very impressed.
I think if you can't find the one I used, just get a good higher ppm one and
if necessary emty out a glass nasal spray bottle, preferably of the pump type
- or put the dropperfuls in your nose.
I have a friend who just cleared up a six month sinus infection in less than
a week just by spraying some 40ppm solution into her nose for a couple of
days.
Oh yeah, the other thing that worked dramatically for me was to hold the
liquid cs on my tongue against the roof of my mouth until I could feel my
sinuses clearing.
Let me know how it works for you and good luck!

Anyway, no idea about regulations. I am a chemist not a politician.

I understand DMSO being used as a carrier to carry compounds that dissolve

it

Re: CSCalcium deposits/water ionizer?

1999-07-12 Thread Bill Schramm
The chemistry is fairly simple. Water naturally ionizes into H+ and OH-
ions. When electric current is passed through water, the H+ ions are
attracted to the - electrode and the OH- ions to the + electrode. If you
configure the reaction chamber into two parts with some form of semi
permeable barrier to prevent gross mixing, one side will become enriched in
OH- (alkaline) and the other side enriched in H+ (acid.)

CSNo Subject

1999-07-12 Thread Kato109
Dear everyone experienced in the making of CS -- HELP!!
I have a number of questions about making my own CS. I've been following the
particle size/color/water heating controversies and still am not sure what I
should be doing.
My first batch ofCS did not help with my sinus infection - while the
storebought one cleared it up right away - so I must be doing something
wrong. I am concerned that my particles are too big to absorb properly. The
makers of my machine say that at 20 minutes you should have 3-5ppm sol of
.0005 to .015 microns
How do I find out the size of the particles - without buying expensive
machinery?
The solution had Tyndall effect - but can anyone explain how thick or bright
the beam should be -- or what variations might tell you something about your
solution?

Anyhow, I tried making four different batches, using two different distilled
waters and doing one each with boiled water that had cooled slightly and the
other with room temperature unboiled, and here's what I got.
(Oh yeah, I'm using the Beck's silver pulser which is a 27 volt DC machine
made by Sota and I used 16 ounces of water and put two tablespoons of my last
batch of CS in each as a starter. I ran them all for 25 minutes.)

The room temperature solutions were both colorless with a very slight white
cloudiness. The next morning they were clear and there was a small ring of
white precipitate at the bottom of the glass. Is this a silver salt and
therefore an indication that the solution is not pure because the water isn't
pure? It happened with both distilled waters. One of them had a brighter
Tyndall than the other. Does that mean it is stronger?

The solutions which I made with boiled water (allowed to cool so that it
wouldn't break the glass - but still steaming) are amber colored and clear.
They had no precipitate in the morning, but a lot of sludge on the electrodes
when making it and left a dark stain in the bottom of the glass and colored
the glass slightly. I can't tell if their Tyndall is slightly weaker or if it
is just that they are darker colored. When I boiled the water there was a
white residue inside the porcelain tea kettle which I had carefully cleaned
with distilled water before use.
While making the boiled one I checked Tyndall as it went along and there
didn't start to be any tyndall until 20 minutes, then it built up fast.

So which are the better solutions and what is the best way to make it?
Which one would have the smallest particle size?
And how do I figure out how strong it is - Is it Robert who can test it and
how do I send it to you?

Any help at all on this would be appreciated because I am definitely
confused. On the one hand it sounds as if clear is smaller particle size -
but on the other hand it sounds as if cloudy and precipitte is exactly what
you don't want because of silver salts. And I don't know how to produce clear
without precipitate.

The original solution which I used which didn't do much was very light amber
and clear and was made with boiling - but I didn't have a laser at the time
to check for Tyndall.

Oh yes, and if I want to make more than 16 ounces at a time do I just double
the time I take while I double the amount of water? Or will that imbalance
something.

anyhow,
thank you all again.

Katarina

CSSilver Safety

1999-07-12 Thread Kato109
Dear Ivan,
thanks so much for your response to my concerns about the safety of CS.
As I reread it I picture you standing on steel girders high above some city
sniffing CS and it somehow makes you seem very qualified to speak about
safety! :-)

Jokes aside, your answer ws very helpfuland Ithink I finally am understanding
that although there is nothing proving the safety of CS, a lot of people seem
to have used it without harm for a long time and that the agyria thing is
scare tactics because it isn't possible with colloids.

I don't know yet whether I will take it on a regular basis as a preventative
or supplement because, like Terry, I am always leery of upsetting balances
that I don't understand -- but I am absolutely joyful at finally having found
a way to stop sinus infections without antibiotics - and I think it will make
huge difference in my life in the long run.

As you see in my other post, I'm still having problems making my own CS, and
wondered where you get your purified water which you sid was made by McGraw
Biomed. Do Pharmacies sell it?

Anyhow, thanks a lot for your help - and I would love any responses you might
have to my previous post and questions about making the CS.
Take care,
Katarina

This is for anyone new to this subject of CS who could use more information

new ones!)
It can be found at the Candida Forum at www.healthyawareness.com/candida

And thanks a million to Taylor, who I think suggested it to me.

Re: CSRe: l-tryptophan

1999-07-12 Thread Ken Seger
Unfortunately a few people got a rare and potentially fatal blood disorder
(eosinophilia) from a batch of Tryptophan which I believe was made in
 Mexico.

It was from Japan. Company's name escapes me. (can't pronouce it or
spell it). They were a food additives company, and not a pharmacutical
company. They were the worst poluters in Japan (they were the one that
dumped all that mercury in a bay resulting of tremendous birth defects
of people that ate the local fish). They reduced the amount of post
production filtering (not a radical step) and used a different strain of
bacteria to make the tryptophan more efficienctly (not a radical step).
However the result was an unwanted chemical in the batch that caused the
problems. Note: ONLY the US banned tryptophan, guess what prescription
medication that substitiuted for tryptophan got rave reviews and
magazine articles, talk show buzz, etc. within weeks of the ban? Same
prescription drug that a goodly number of people that go postal were
on.(Columbine etc.) What a coincidence eh? Love that FDA..
