CS>Almost as good as Colloidal Silver...

2007-04-07 Thread Dan Nave

*WD-40 Well, Who Knew...? *

A neighbor had a new pickup truck that someone had spray painted red on
the sides of his beige truck. A neighbor came out and told him to get
his *WD-40* and clean it off. It removed the unwanted paint beautifully
and did not harm his paint. I'm impressed! *WD-40* who knew?

A search for a rust preventative solvent and degreaser to protect
missile parts. *WD-40* was created in 1953 by three technicians at the
San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that
was to find a "water displacement" compound. They were successful with
the fortieth formulation, thus *WD-40*. The Corvair Company bought it in
bulk to protect their atlas missile parts.

Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in
*WD-40* that would hurt you.

When you have a dirty "shower door", try it. It's the first thing
that has ever cleaned spotty shower doors. If yours is plastic, it
works just as well as glass. It's a miracle! Then try it on your
stovetop...Voila! It's now shinier than it's ever been. You'll be amazed.

*Here are some of the other uses*:

*1)* Protects silver from tarnishing.
*2)* Removes road tar and grime from cars.
*3)* Cleans and lubricates guitar strings.
*4)* Gives floors that 'just-waxed' sheen without making it slippery.
*5)* Keeps flies off cows.
*6)* Restores and cleans chalkboards.
*7)* Removes lipstick stains.
*8)* Loosens stubborn zippers.
*9)* Untangles jewelry chains.
*10)* Removes stains from stainless steel sinks.
*11)* Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill.
*12)* Keeps ceramic/terra cotta garden pots from oxidizing.
*13)* Removes tomato stains from clothing.
*14)* Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots.
*15)* Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors.
*16)* Keeps scissors working smoothly.
*17)* Lubricates noisy door hinges on vehicles and doors in homes
*18)* It removes black scuff marks from the kitchen floor! Use WD-40
for those nasty tar and scuff marks on flooring. It doesn't seem to harm
the finish and you won't have to scrub nearly as hard to get them off.
Just remember to open some windows if you have a lot of marks.
*19)* Bug guts will eat away the finish on your car if not removed quickly!
Use WD-40!
*20)* Gives a children's play gym slide a shine for a super fast slide.
*21)* Lubricates gear shift and mower deck lever for ease of handling on riding
mowers.
*22)* Rids kids rocking chairs and swings of squeaky noises.
*23)* Lubricates tracks in sticking home windows and makes them easier to open.
*24)* Spraying an umbrella stem makes it easier to open and close.
*25)* Restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in vehicles, as well as
vinyl bumpers.
*26)* Restores and cleans roof racks on vehicles.
*27)* Lubricates and stops squeaks in electric fans.
*28)* Lubricates wheel sprockets on tricycles, wagons, and bicycles for easy
handling.
*29)* Lubricates fan belts on washers and dryers and keeps them running
smoothly.
*30)* Keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades, and other tools.
*31)* Removes splattered grease on stove.
*32)* Keeps bathroom mirror from fogging.
*33)* Lubricates prosthetic limbs.
*34)* Keeps pigeons off the balcony (they hate the smell).
*35)* Removes all traces of duct tape.
*36)* Folks even spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis
pain.
*37)* Florida's favorite use is: "cleans and removes love bugs from
grills and bumpers."
*38)* The favorite use in the state of New York WD-40 protects the Statue of
Liberty from the elements.
*39)* WD-40 attracts fish. Spray a LITTLE on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one
in no time. Also, it's a lot cheaper than the chemical attractants that are made for just that
purpose. Keep in mind though, using some chemical laced baits or lures for fishing are

not allowed in some states.
*40)* Use it for fire ant bites. It takes the sting away immediately and stops
the itch.
*41)* WD-40 is great for removing crayon from walls. Spray on the mark and wipe
with a clean rag.
*42)* Also, if you've discovered that your teenage daughter has washed and dried a tube of lipstick
with a load of laundry, saturate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and re-wash. Presto! Lipstick is gone!
*43)* If you sprayed WD-40 on the distributor cap, it would displace the moisture and allow the car
to start.

*P. S. The basic ingredient is _FISH OIL_.*

CS>[List Owner] Religious remarks and responses...

2007-04-07 Thread M. G. Devour
Hello everybody!

Ruth wrote:
> > I pray that all of you may come to

Kirsteen answered:
> Can I just point out that not everyone on this list is Christian. I am
> quite happy with my own gods but I'm quite sure they're not who you
> mean when you say 'God's Word' :-)

Which is why the list rules state, under Prohibited Topics:

"Avoid discussing religion, mysticism, or spirituality. There is no
comment you can make that will not risk offending someone. Overt
evangelization is not permitted. Do not reply to religious remarks made
by others."

While Ruth's initial comments stretched on about two sentences too
long, Kirsteen, your answer, too, served to compound the problem,
leading to a further couple of rounds of response.

Now, the two of you resolved things amicably, to which I say, BRAVO!
Thank you! If nobody else piles on in the next day or two, we should be
okay. (Chuck??? ) But that gives us a hint just how quickly things
can deteriorate.

If anything is getting out of hand a heads-up note to me, privately, is
all you need to get my attention.

So as not to make the list an overtly *hostile* place for people of
various faiths, the list rules go on to state:

"I am not asking you to "de-God" everything you say, do or think,
however. Brief greetings, thanks, and prayer requests or offerings are
acceptable. The occasional "God bless", or "you're in our prayers" will
not be seen as a transgression. Modest tag lines or signature files may
also be used."

A large measure of sensitivity *AND* tolerance are required for
participation in a diverse group such as ours. I expect this of all of
you. These rules are the best I have been able to come up with to
accommodate the needs of most of our members. Given the rarity of
problems these last few months, they seem to be reasonably effective.

As a reminder, the list rules are found at http://www.silverlist.org
... That URL as well as my e-mail address are always found in the
footer near the bottom of all messages from the list.

Thanks to you, everyone, for keeping the list mission in mind and heart
and easing my job here.

Be well,

Betadine is iodine-povidone complex, povidone is PVP
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poly_vinyl_pyrrolidone

If you have no problem with other forms of iodine, you may be reacting
to the PVP (povidone). Though the article above states povidone is
completely inert to humans, I have reacted to various things that
contain it, so I avoid it completely, in fact I had previously thought
povidone itself was a form of iodine, guess that isn't true, but I still
react to it.

*Thanks Sol...I did not know this.I will Google PVP and get
all the info.
Someone wrote earlier on the list about his wife being allergic to Benedryl
and still she has to keep reminding everyone about this.
I have found the same to be true...so the more info we have...the better. v.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poly_vinyl_pyrrolidone

If you have no problem with other forms of iodine, you may be reacting
to the PVP (povidone). Though the article above states povidone is
completely inert to humans, I have reacted to various things that
contain it, so I avoid it completely, in fact I had previously thought
povidone itself was a form of iodine, guess that isn't true, but I still
react to it.

Re: CS>iodine to sol

2007-04-07 Thread sol
People with unsuspected iodine allergy have actually died from being
given iodine contrast stuff. I've read that there should be a crash cart
standing by whenever those are administered, but am willing to bet there
rarely is. Miserable skin reactions are miserable (I once had severe
eczema/hives for 14 months) but respiratory failure/anaphylactic
shock/death while perhaps rare, is also a real possibility.

Now, once I know what any test is looking for, if the treatment for what
might be found is something I would not accept anyway, why suffer with
the test? I found I can no longer afford to go blindly into medical
procedures/tests.

There are other adverse effects than direct allergy that iodine can
cause in people with thyroid problems/dysfunction, so I urge people to
never just dive into iodine supplementation, kelp, or whatever, but to
do some homework, be aware of possible adverse effects, and to go slowly
and watch for those problems.

Just read in the newspaper that many of the kelp supplements that have been
being sold in health food stores have been found to be laced with arsenic. I
dont know if this is natural from from the enviroment. or if it happens during
the processing. I hope that more information will come out. The paper stated
that this was a good reason for supplements to be better regulated which is
always a concern when that happens that regulation will mean more control over
what we can purchase.

2007-04-07 Thread Paula Perry
This link will take you to a site that has tons of info. If you scroll down to
what seems forever you can get to a place that has a lot of blood test
information to read your own blood tests. He gives the average rates for people
(that includes well and sick people) and the metabolic range where you have
optimal function. It explains what the readings mean (that your doctor is too
busy to explain). He has protocol suggestions. He uses some homeopathic
remedies and other items.

There is a lot of information about Cancer and other diseases as well. The
blood test info is pretty far down, after a big long section on Cancer. It will
take you a few minutes to get to it.

Ruth, because of the jagged lines, do you think that you may have been
experiencing migranes? Dont mean to minimize what you went thru at all but
it could be a factor. People with stomach problems can be subject to

Hi Ruth -

The full study costs about $32.00 but the summary of it is all
laypersons like us really need to read.

Here it is:

Acute colonic surgery and unrecognized hypothyroidism: A Warning -
Report of Six Cases - Diseases of the Colon & Rectum

Abstract PURPOSE: This study was designed to highlight the
significant morbidity related to undetected hypothyroidism in the
elderly who are undergoing emergency surgery.

METHOD: Case reports of six patients who presented with acute
colonic surgical conditions are reviewed.

RESULTS: Six cases of undetected hypothyroidism in a group of elderly
patients was unmasked at the time of surgery for acute colonic
conditions or in the perioperative period. These patients experienced
increased morbidity, but once detected and treated, all but one had an
uneventful recovery.

CONCLUSION: Unrecognized hypothyroidism may lead to unnecessary surgery
or even a potentially fatal outcome. A heightened awareness of this not
so uncommon entity is mandatory.

feeling very funny and sort of stiff. Also my digestive tract, the lower
area, seems to function even less well than usual . Wonder if CS is plating
out in my digestive tract . I did make the first two batches with the
medium setting on silvergen, 8-10 ppm. When I make the new batch this

Thanks, Sol, I have received an official diagnosis of lactose intolerance
from a clinic I went to some time ago. They also said to avoid foods rich
in galactose, like peas ( and I used to love peas). I have been toying with
the idea of trying kefir again. Your post will help me get going in that
direction. I like to try to use foods to deal with my problems, but those I
think I tolerate are very limited in variety. Have given up already on the
food combining thing, ala "Food for LIfe", just can't get enough calories
that way. I even hesitate about the kefir, because I really can't afford to
have frank diarrhea. I weigh in these mornings at around 110 lbs. My 5 ft.
6 inch frame looks like skin and bone already! I see lots of women, young
and older who look very "skinny", too and seem to be perfectly healthy.

kinds of issues. Thanks, Ruth

Ruth,

Sounds like lactose intolerance---If so you might have candidiasis, as has
been mentioned before. I was extremely lactose intolerant for several
years, but no longer have any lactose intolerance at all thanks to CS and
Caprylic Acid and a low carb diet all of which I believe reduced my own
candida problem. In my experience one really needs to get CS comsumption up
to far greater quantities than you are currently able to take for it to
help eliminate candida overgrowth. The fact that you experience a herx like
reaction to incredibly small quantities of CS could itself indicate a
serious candida overgrowth or other similar problem. With the problems you
have described, it would seem to me to be a miracle if you did not have
severe intestinal candida, or even systemic candida.

Kefir or probiotics should be taken apart from CS by a couple hours.
Kefir is supposed to be great stuff, and I make it and take what I can gag
down, but I just don't like it, even in smoothies. It did give me diarrhea
at first, but I cut back, started with a very small amount, and worked up.
I do like to eat the extra Kefir grains, even though I don't like the Kefir
itself. I'm weird I guess.

Distilling is just one way to remove contaminating ions. [to de-ionize]
 Pure water is pure water.
Whether or not the garage sells "pure water" regardless of labels, you
have to find out on your own.

A decent conductivity meter will be of great help.
Hanna PWT or HM Digital COM-100, both costing "around" 55 to 70 USD, delivered.
 There may be others.

PPM/TDS meters aren't "worthless"..but not too far from it.

Most people in England and Oz successfully use DI water from the Chemist.

*How does H2O2 affect EIS*

When H2O2 is added to EIS (one or two drops per glass of EIS), it will be
noted that there is an immediate clearing effect. The Tyndall (what you
see if you shine a laser pointer though the liquid) will become very faint
as well. If the ppm of the EIS is sufficiently high (25 to 30 ppm) a white
cloudy precipitate may form as well.

There are a number of reactions that occur. H2O2 is normally thought of as
an oxidizer, but it can act as a reducer as well. Also silver is
considered a catalyst for H2O2, but in actuality gets directly involved in
the reactions.

The H2O2 reacts with the silver particles, producing ionic silver, a
combination of silver hydroxide and silver oxide. This makes the large
particles disappear, reducing the tyndall. However H2O2 also reacts with
the silver oxide and silver hydroxide producing a 2 atom colloid of silver
plus oxygen (and water in the case of silver hydroxide). Over time this 2
atom colloidal particle can end up being converted back to silver oxide
and silver hydroxide, and so forth. The final result is a mixture of ionic
silver (hydroxide and oxide) and very small colloidal particles. Thus if
you add H2O2 to freshly made EIS, you can sometimes see the oxygen bubble
off, and the tyndall may change significantly. But more importantly, the
particulate portion of the EIS will go from being medium or large
particles to many more very small particles, and the particle content will
increase from a typical 5-15% to around 30-50%. If you have a strong
tyndall from large particles, it will decrease, and if you have a weak or
no tyndall it will increase with the formation of the 2 atom particles.
This enhances absorption, as well as effectiveness.

Note that it is recommended to let the EIS sit for 5 or more minutes if
you do add H2O2 to it to let it stabilize.

Omigosh, I can't believe that! I had a severe allergic reaction to the
iodine based contrast dye used in a cat-scan a few years back -- the worst case
of hives I've ever had. My legs were swollen and red and blotchy from the hips

after the fact took forty-eight hours to kick in, and didn't do much to help.
I was in misery for ten days. I've often wondered what I'll do if I ever have

One Yucca herbal capsule one day, then 2 tiny 30X Belladonna tablets the

We have already had 95 degree days consistently here in S. Georgia and I

I probably have a damaged hypothalmus from several things:

Stress
Mercury poisoning from mercury amalgrams
Numerous head and full body injuries (very much an extreme sport person

bungee jumping and sky diving white water rafting, marathon
running, speed roller blading
   .. you name it...)
Genetics... coming with a geneaology from the UK... I prefer cold

England and you wouldn't believe how rare this stuff is now. I'm sure I
can remember a time when we could buy distilled water easily. Now it's
like gold-dust, LOL. So I'm thinking of buying a distiller. Only
problem is finance. I am always totally skint - hence the four 9v
batteries.

Could I make colloidal silver using de-ionised water, which can be
bought at any garage? For the moment the choice for me is colloidal
silver using de-ionised, or not make it at all. In other words, is
de-ionised better than nothing? Or would it be detrimental?

Thanks in advance for any info or advice.
Regards,
Frankie
