Hey Marshall:)

I use Stevia. No Calories, and anti cavity as well. And it doesn't raise
your blood glucose. Some of these artificial sweeteners have a higher

You have to watch Stevia brands. They add stuff to it. And it'll say on the
box or whatever; That they do it on recommendation of the FDA of some such
bologna. A lost of times they use the tols which have a sky high glycemic
index. The only Stevia I have found that does not add anything to their
Stevia except fiber is Sweetleaf Brand. Every single other company adds
stuff. And I can't figure out why. Stevia is already sweet. Why are they
adding another sugar to it, one that's worse than table sugar for your
glucose levels? It doesn't make any sense, especially if it's only allowed
as a supplement.

Marshall,
I don't think there's any free ride with sweeteners. Dr. Jerry Tennant
says to avoid all sweeteners with tol in them, and I tend to agree with
him. They are toxic to the body.

I do use xylitol, however, as a mouthwash.

Yes, accidents happen. But you don't blame everyone else for your own dumb

are a part of life. She was injured yes, but that was her error in
judgement, not the establishment where she bought the coffee. And that
particular accident was totally preventable. That was just an example off
the top of my head. The way I recall it, she bought the coffee and put it
between her legs and I guess she squeezed it hard enough for the top to pop
off, which can happen if you squeeze those paper cups too hard. It's been a
while since I read the story. It's just the first example that crossed my
mind at the time. Instead of just saying okay I goofed, and I got hurt, she
blamed the store. She didn't take the responsibility for her own goof up.

Re: CSThe Blue Man (Agryria) - Any Comments?

2007-12-21 Thread wordsjunkie
I've been following this thread closely since the first email. And I can't
stand it. I just have to add my .02 worth.

You know the only thing I really regret about the situation is the bad
publicity. The man is an adult. No one forced the stuff down his throat.
Personal responsibility has to come in here on this subject somewhere.

When you're dosing yourself, it's your responsibility to do the research and
find out what's what, and keep up with the news and advancements, or enquire
from a reputable source. I am extremely cautious when trying something new.
Herbs and and supplements and other alternative health care methods are just
as powerful as any drug that the doctor prescribes and aren't to be played
with.

The problem with most people is that they're used to going to a doctor and
popping a pill for just about everything. But it doesn't cure the root
problem, it just alleviates the symptoms.

Sometimes herbs and things take a while longer to show apparent results,
and people in this instant gratification age have no patience. They want
results and they want them right now.

Take Glucosamin and Chondroitin for example. I KNOW it works (for me anyway)
but it took about two months for me to really tell a difference, other
people have used for only a week or so and could tell a difference in pain
levels. The response time is depends on the individual. People can go to the
doctor and get a pain pill that knocks out the pain right away, sure, but
they continue to wear down the joints. I am so sensitive to pain meds that
something as mild as the very lowest dosage Tylenol 3 or loricet conks me
out for up to 14 hrs.

I know Kava works. I used it for years to ease back spasms. I never had a
problem with my liver or anything else. I have to buy it online now because
of stupidity. Valerian and some of the other things just don't work as well
for me as the Kava does. St John's wort works wonderfully well for me in
conjunction with Kava for inflammation. MSM works great for me.

If you drink a lot of alcohol there are a lot of things you shouldn't take
prescribed or alternative. The liver is the main detox system for the body
and many many drugs are filtered primarily by the liver. If your liver is
already taxed because you drink alcohol every blasted day, then you're going
to have problems. Same for the kidneys. There are SOME drugs that are
filtered mainly by the kidneys.

I can't fathom anyone, taking anything without knowing what it is, and how
it works, and just what it does to their body. I don't trust ANYONE enough
to just take something without looking at it very closely first.

I Know some other supplements and herbs that work also because they worked
for me, BUT I have never just taken things willy nilly. I have the utmost
respect for plants and supplements because that is where modern medicines
originated. Well except the synthetic drugs, and they used nature as a
template for those too, otherwise they wouldn't work at all. And even now
they have problems with them because they've changed the molecular
structure, and the human body has trouble with strangely configured
molecules(Just look at Trans fats). I believe that plants evolved along
with animals and people and we can find a plant for just about anything.
There are even cancer drugs now that originated from plants.

People are so used to NOT taking responsibility for themselves and the Nanny
government doesn't help. This started when all the danged lawyers started
suing for stupid stuff, like the lady and the McDonald's coffee. Come on
now, how much common sense does it take to know that coffee is hot, and you
need to be careful with it?

How much common sense does it take to know that whatever you take, it's
going to affect you one way or another? The schools don't help either. They
don't teach kids to think for themselves. I home schooled my kids. Not
because of religion but because of the shape the schools are in. My kids can
think for themselves. I taught them to. It IS a skill that can be taught.

You can teach people to stop and think about things before they run off to
do things. I taught my kids to think about things from different angles and
weigh pros and cons and think about consequences BEFORE they do things. To
this day they'll say I'm thinking about this or that, but I'm not sure yet
if I should because of this or that, and I have to find out this or that
first.

I don't give out advice anymore either except for just a a few individuals
that I know will do their own research and try it cautiously.

So it wouldn't surprise me at all if Nanny government steps in once again
and overrides our rights to tell us we can't take CS or make it because
we're too stupid to do it for ourselves. And THAT makes me really angry
because they'll do something because a man turns blue but he isn't dead. But

Wow, I carry hand sanitizer around with me, Especially if I'm shopping.
Money is just plain germy. So are shopping cart handles and store
shelves. And door handles that hundreds of people have had their hands
on. I wash my hands frequently during the day too. It's a hold over
from
being a nurse I reckon. I was ALWAYS a dragon about germ control. My
coworkers thought I was a bit**, but NONE of my patients were infected
by me. LOL, I've even bearded doctors about their nasty hands and God
the ties! I never EVER went from one room to another without washing my
hands!

It's the cheapest most effective way to prevent infections.

I didn't wear jewelry to work and my hair was always very short or
secured. I always kept spare uniforms at work to change into if I felt
there was a need.

And if you wanted to see me blow my stack just let me catch a full
dirty
laundry hamper in the hallway, or used tissues and personal care items
laying around for other people to touch or cough and sneeze on.

Infections CAN be controlled and prevented, if the staff is not lazy!

Hi, Mary,

You're G got me laughing. I had the same problem when my kids were
little except they weren't getting sick, just me. So I started looking
and feeling their hands - they were nasty; probably hadn't washed them
since leaving the house. Since then have asked my husband and kids to
wash hands upon entering the house. Even make some of the kids friends
wash too.

Don't know if you remember hearing about people getting stomach virus
on
cruise ships. Heard of a line that requires everyone to use hand
sanitizer before boarding the ship or entering a dining room. This has
been very successful at reducing number of people getting ill. Same
thing with hospitals - they are full of people, so they are full of
germs. Hospitals that require medical personnel to wash hands upon
entering a room or before touching the patient have seen infection
rates
reduced.

But since you're gotten pneumonia I'd encourage you to purchase a
nebulizer (try ebay) for use with CS. There are a ton on ebay and not
too expensive. We have an older model purchased by insurance when my
son
was an infant - saw same unit on ebay a couple years ago for under $5.
Picked up some new tubes and things incase we needed it at a pharmacy.

Take care,

Cindy

PayPal is great and you have double protection. I use it for eBay. When you
use your CC you're protected anyway (even if you use PayPal)because you can
dispute or do a chargeback if the item you paid for is defective or it isn't
delivered.

Liz:)

I know that I can dispute charges on my bank debit card just like a CC too,
because it has a MasterCard logo:) I know because I've done it. A non eBay
company made charges to my MasterCard/Debit/ATM for unsatisfactory goods, I
sent the goods back and they didn't want to refund, so, I called the number
on my card. The Card Company sent me the paperwork to fill out. Less than 30
days later I had my money back. No muss no fuss.

I don't make chargebacks as a rule, but it's nice to know that I can if I
really need to.

Don't forget any dispute for ANYTHING having to do with CC's have to be IN
WRITING. I don't care what the customer rep tells you verbally on the phone.
If you read the small print in the agreement with your CC company it HAS to
be IN WRITING. Write it out, make a certified notarized copy for your
records, and send the original registered(signature required), Delivery
confirmation, or return receipt, so that you have proof of delivery. You can
also send mail with a mailing confirmation that proves you sent it.

Okay that's an end to my .02 worth:)

That's precisely what I was wanting to know. Hmmm, I would think if you had
silver particles in something and reduced the liquid even by heating it would
leave the solid bits behind, kind like letting the water evaporate from salt

I am going to have to try the spraying the meat and things before I put them in

I don't use it cooking but do spray my produce and basically anything that
goes into the refrigerator before I put it in there. That is after I've washed
fresh produce off. The produce stays nice much longer. My son sprays his raw
meats before putting them in the refrigerator. I've also washed and sprayed
serving holiday plates and bowls before using them since most of them had been
stored for some time and no telling what might have gotten on them. I'm not a
germ phobic (couldn't be and live on a farm) but like to keep the family safe.

I know this sounds weird, and I haven't seen anything about it, but can you

help keep it from spoiling as fast? Inquiring minds want to know:)

That's precisely what I was wanting to know. Hmmm, I would think if you had
silver particles in something and reduced the liquid even by heating it would
leave the solid bits behind, kind like letting the water evaporate from salt
water and what's left is the salt. That's how a lot of the big salt deposits on

Believe it or not one of the approved uses for DMSO is cystitis which tends to

Frequently over the past year I've had several of these infections and
absolutely hate going to the doctor. I increase the cs to multiple times
during the day and also use Gallium-Heel. Gallium is a homeopathic medication
for chronic illness, viral infections such as colds and flu. It is
manufactured by Heel. This has helped me each time keep from going to the
doctor and having to go thru conventional antibiotics.

There was a post about bladder infections on another site and it recommended
buying a catheter and inject hydrogen peroxide after you reach the bladder.
They said it immediately cures the infection. I haven't tried that. They said
most medical supply stores carry catheters. I don't know if I saved it but
could try and find the post if you are interested.

All this may be true, but at the same time our government has done some
really nasty things in the name of research to, us, CITIZENS, in the past. I
think it's safe to assume you just haven't found out about the newest
outrages.

And the recounting of past outrages and the historical proof is all over the
net. You only have to do a search.

It's horrendous to think the government could do something like this, but
they have done horrendous things in the past, so it's not a surprise that
people expect horrendous things. Sad, but suspecting such atrocities is not
completely unfounded, based on past performance.

Yes, while there are SOME decent, dedicated public servants. They can do
things in ignorance if they don't KNOW all the facts.

Whether vaccines have all that stuff in them or not, I don't know. But don't
make the government into a saint, because it's far from it. The things
leaking into public through the press, and whistleblowers, in the last few
years, ought to tell you they're doing things in secret, that we know
nothing about, and that are not in our best interest. That my friend is
absolutely bone chillingly scary. Heck the things they do right in front of

You have made very provocative assertions without providing any
evidence. No one here can check on anything. In contrast, the work
of Ed Hopper, r.e. the origin of AIDS, consumed 17 years of his life,
and probably was the research that led to the widespread knowledge of
SV40 infection. It's a lot of work to establish what is and is not
true.

The idea that the mercury in vaccines is used to preserve spirochetes
frankly sounds absurd to me. Long ago, mercury was actually used as a
treatment for syphilis and other STDs, by the way. Whether it worked
at all or not, I don't know.

Presumably the mercury in vaccines is to prevent the growth of
bacteria. It may be harmful to humans, and I suspect it is, but
that's another issue. To suppose it's added to preserve spirochetes
is beyond implausible.

I don't see any reason to trust this claim than those of the
government, which of course includes many dedicated public servants.
If you have links to information that support your claims, I'm sure
everyone would welcome them. I'd read them.

Whilst searching through other information I came across some

Having both at hand, I will make up some of this and try it out. Other

Nice lady.

I don't know much about brand names. I think the tiny bottles that cosmetic

like. But the price this lady had for her oil (I bought the Australian oil) is
the best I could find. If anyone knows where to get it more reasonably priced,
please let me know:)

I'm gonna have to try mixing some CS with it and see how that works! I have
some DMSO that is diluted with honey, that I bought a while back ,and I might
try the CS with that too, and see which works best, for what.

There are a lot of claims out there for EMU oil but I know for a fact about
only two of them. The pain relief for my knee and the dry skin.

I'll bet it would carry CS right through the skin too! I haven't tried that

Because of the bleeding I couldn't put any arnica around the rest of the

We recommend making your own, instead of buying it. That way you know what
you are getting, and it cost less than $1 a gallon. What is referred to
as colloidal silver is what we often call EIS ( electro isolated silver )
here. When made properly it will be crystal clear and will contain about
85% ionic silver, and 15% colloid. Yellow is also ok, but not as good as
clear. The maximum that true colloidal silver can be made and stay stable
is around 25 ppm. Those who are selling something that they claim is 500
ppm are not selling colloidal silver, or lieing about its concentration.
They are likely selling MSP or mild silver protein, which is NOT colloidal
silver, and can cause argyria, and is only about 1/50 as effective as true
colloidal silver (that is 500 ppm MSP is about as effective as 10 ppm
CS ). You might take a look at http://silver-lightning.com/theory.html
which is as close to the actual truth as I have been able to get on
colloidal silver.

There are a number of good generators that do stirring, current limiting
and concentration monitoring available, and members of this group can give
recommendations if you want to go that route.

If you have any specific questions feel free to ask them here.

Marshall

No, not at all! You're just exploring the wonderful, chaotic world of
alternative health and medicine. Lacking an over-controlling central
authority, such as the FDA/AMA, etc., it is left to *US* to do our own
research and choose among many options.

Somewhere between the rampant hucksterism and outright fraud at one
extreme, and the fanatical debunkers at the other, you will find people
who can tell you what works. Hopefully here, in fact!

The good news is that along with the chaos comes ultimate freedom and
access to far more options than exist within the mainstream.

There are several classes of silver preparation that are generically
referred to as colloidal silver, whether the term is really
descriptive or not:

1) Mild silver protein (MSP)

2) Chemically precipitated silver

3) Solutions of silver compounds

4) High voltage electrolytic or sputtering processes

5) Low voltage electrolytic process

The first, MSP, is based on a standard preparation that was in common
use before there were pharmaceutical antibiotics. Some of these are
well made, but expensive, and with their higher concentration have been
associated with argyria when over used.

The chemical precipitates and compounds suffer from uncertainty as to
what is in them -- from too much to too little to just food coloring --
and have also been associated with cases of argyria. These are most

often seen in health-food stores.

Some of the high volume high voltage production processes seem to
produce a product of reasonable (low) concentration that is fairly
stable and affordable and may be worth buying under some circumstances.

What most of us have settled on is the last one. The product is clear,
usually colorless, maybe 5 to 10 ppm, and simply and inexpensively
produced at home.

Basic equipment to make this product can be home-built, and very well
controlled and reliable generators are available for less than $200
(US). You will quickly recoup your investment in equipment when making
perfectly fine CS for the cost of distilled water and some
electricity. You'll be free to use it as generously as you need, and
you'll also have the security of knowing exactly what goes into it.

You'll see the term EIS used here, which stands for Electrically
Isolated Silver. It was coined by some of our members to distinguish
what we make from the spectrum of other products being sold. It
highlights the fact that it is produced by an electrolytic process, and
consists of a low concentration of isolated particles and ions of
silver in pure distilled water without additives or impurities.

I'm sure other folks will fill in the blanks of this overview. No doubt
I'm leaving out, mis-stating, or oversimplifying some things, but I
hope it'll confirm some of what you've already begun to find out and
save you some confusion and time wasted.

Be well,

Mike D.

CSWith all the types of silver.....

2007-11-07 Thread wordsjunkie
Hi:)

I'm new to the list.

Someone recommended colloidal silver to me for colds and flu, so I fired up the
computer and started looking for information.

I've been surfing the net and reading, and I'm probably more confused than I
was to begin with.

There is ionic silver, and colloidal silver and clear silver . There's 10ppm
that claims it works as well as 500ppm.

There are people who claim patented ways of processing so it's used by the body
better.

My head is just spinning!

How the heck do I know what to buy or not to buy? There is so much conflicting
information I'm totally lost. Can someone please tell me what kind of silver I
can safely take and where to get it at a reasonable price. The prices are
outrageous. If it were a whole price of silver like a ring or something I could
see them charging the prices they do, but for little particles of silver that
you can't see with your naked eye in some filtered water. Give me a break!

So I stumbled over this list and hopefully someone can tell me what's what.
Please?

Thank you

Liz

Thank you Kathryn,

I will definitely work my way through your list. Whew! I'm not dumb by a
long shot but jeesh, I know all the conflicting stuff can't be true. I'm
just not enough of a science buff to ferrit it out. Or maybe that should be
chemistry buff? I've never taken a chemistry class in my life. Not even in
high school. I'm well grounded in science and Anatomy and Physiology, I've
even taken college courses in microbiology but this is just ridiculous.

And it's frustrating.

I don't have a problem with people making a little money but come on! They
don't have to tell fifteen different versions, because all of them can't be
true. They may be partially true but not the whole story, or a twisted
version of it anyway. And along comes someone like me who is looking for
information and it just gripes my rear to have to try to wade through all
the malarkey for the real story. Sigh. Maybe I'm the one who is crazy?

Thank you again:)

Liz

Hi, Liz,

There was a discussion about this a while back, and a couple of people
decided to put together some basic info for just this occasion. I think
this is the right link:

http://www.fugitt.com/cs.htm

There is plenty to keep you busy reading just the basics. There is
also lots of good info at:

www.silvermedicine.org

including a link to a page of lab reports telling you which products
they tested came out to be ionic, colloidal or compounds of some sort.
Not much of it is cheap, which is why most of us make our own, since it
is easily done and needs no specialized knowledge. It does require that
one can follow directions exactly, though. Nearly everyone here that I
know of uses ionic silver, at 10 ppm. Some like to make it extra
strong- and I used to make mine at 5ppm- just a personal preference.

Take care,

Kathryn
