Ionic silver (individual atoms of silver) may well go along
with the DMSO, but nano-particles made of clusters of silver
atoms probably will not.

I would have to have a pretty good reason to take the risk.
Do you have any better choices, like going to a doctor and
taking prescribed medication? Or are you stranded out in
the boonies?

Re: CS>ear infection

2014-09-19 Thread evelyn
how much do you recommend of:

CS (30ppm)

DMSO (from the source you mention)

distilled water

DO you recommend 1 tsp each, stir it, then use a dropper and put 1 tsp in
ear? (i.e. 1/2 tsp each?)

Thank you.

DMSO definitely penetrates skin, including the ear drum, and
will carry many different kinds of molecules across, with
it. Of course, this can make it very dangerous, because
there are a lot of kinds of molecules you don't want
penetrating your skin. So you have to be very careful of
cleanliness when using DMSO.

I bought some at a veterinary supply.

DMSO is a superior penetrant... it can carry things with it thru the skin.
There are lots of sources, some purer than
others, but the one I use all the time, even to ingest it (diluted with
distilled water) is from dmso.bz. It is pharma grade
.. 70/30% (70% dmso/30% distilled water) and with a touch of honey added

Diluting it with CS is also okay. Lola H.

You can use the CS with about 10% DMSO added (9 parts CS, 1 part DMSO) as ear

Re: CS>ear infection

2014-09-19 Thread evelyn
Hello - I appreciate so much your information about DMSO.

I am considering mixing it with CS, as someone mentioned to put in my ear
canal. Things don't penetrate the ear drum, but you say with DMSO it will
- I am trying to reach the Eustachian tube where he infection is located.
I appreciate any response on this you can give me.

Thank you.

2014-09-19 Thread evelyn
Thank you for your info @ ear infection.

Why is it that CS penetrates (ear drum) with DMSO added? Where does one
get DMSO?

  Sure!!
At 3% H202..dump it in, drain it out in a minute or so.

At 30%, you won't have an ear for very long.

Ozone, same thing.
A low concentrations, scrubbing bubbles.
At high concentrations...bye bye ears, lungs, eyes. rubber tires and
power chords [dry rot]

There are several ways.  It is called ear insuflation.  Some just put a wet
cotton ball in their ear and then hold the tubing to their ear and other use a
piece of equipment to humidify the ozone.  If you do a search you should find
what you are looking for.  My thought is that, as a gas, ozone would go right
to the spot but you need to do your research and then decide what is best for
you.

Re: CS>ear infection

2014-08-03 Thread Chris Davies
Hi Evelyn,

I’ve replied and bcc’d you directly as well because I may have something that
could really help.

A while ago I was worried about long term sinus infections. However, in all my
reading they are basically impossible to cure because they sit inside your
sinus cavity and anything that does reach there via your blood stream is very
dilute. Additionally, just about all long term sinus infections are caused by
fungus - which really limits mainstream medicines tools.

I did find something. Sinus flushing using a protocol by a guy called ‘Figgy':

http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/2322/The-Sinus-Flush

I realize your infection is in the eustachian tubes, however, when you read his
set of posts he warns about getting the liquid into your eustachian tubes (it
can spread infection, etc). When I did his flush I was fine for about a week of
twice daily flushing until things opened up enough that I suddenly ended up
with water in my eustachian tubes!

You can actually feel the water move along them. It’s a very odd feeling.

The water actually travelled all the way into my ears (from the inside) and I
had that ‘water in your ears’ feeling that took about 2 weeks to fade as the
water was slowly reabsorbed into my body. It’s was hassle.

However, since you have an infection in your eustachian tubes this could
actually be a very good thing as it would provide you a way to reach the
infection site directly with silver!

His protocol calls for clean water and salt to make it isotonic (otherwise is
really hurts). If you were to replace the water with 20ppm ionic silver or
similar and salt you’d be able to get the silver directly onto the infection
and kill it - as well as rinse out some of the old infection.

Thats the great thing with silver - if you can get it right onto the infection
there is very little it won’t kill.

I realize this sounds very odd, however, I’ve done it myself. It feels strange
at the start, but so long as you get the salt balance right and use warm water
it doesn’t hurt or feel especially uncomfortable. Given you’d need enough
silver water, I’d suggest getting a machine to make it or find a cheap source.

One thing main stream medicine recommends for ear infections in kids is taking
an anti-inflammatory as it reduces the swelling in the eustachian tubes and
allows easier drainage. I’m a fairly large man with a physically big head and
thus presumably big eustachian tubes which I’d assume would make draining them
easier. From your name I assume you’re a woman and thus probably have smaller
eustachian tubes. You might keep anti-inflammatories in mind if you’re not
making great progress with the sinus flushing.

And finally, I’m not a doctor and I’ve never personally dealt with an
eustachian infection - but given how you describe the impact on your life, this
might be something to try.

Best of luck!

Chris

Mike, I read somewhere that mixing DMSO with peroxide converts it into

Not to mention the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial

I've never tried mixing dmso with peroxide in the ears. That seems like
it'd be good. Has anyone done that experiment yet?

Hello - Thank you all very much for replying.

My ear infection is sealed. It is inside the left ear and Eustachian
tubes. When I interact with people it gets inflamed. I am not able
to speak because of it. Speaking spreads the infection. CS inside
the ear does not penetrate the drum. I take it internally. I feel
good with Source Naturals CS because it is standardized. But I am in
so much pain from the infection instead of my 1-2 tsp. daily I am
considering taking 1/2 the bottle to see if whacks it once and for
all. I am interested in your experience, esp. with internal
infections ( not much reaches the ear and tubes b/c not much blood flow.)

I am interested in the blood electrifier group. Could you send me

Thank you.

Re: CS>ear infection

2014-08-01 Thread Hadasah

I am new here and will introduce myself soon. I have questions.

Evelyn I'll tell you how I use my homemade silver. I don't just drink it.

I put it under my tongue(a couple tablespoons if it will fit... I've never
measured) .Then I hold it
under my tongue for as long as I can... three to 5 minutes if possible before
swallowing. This
gets the silver into the blood stream.

It has cured literally every infection I have ever had AND infections of the
people I give it to. My doctor totally approves.

Can't hurt to try !

I think that will get you there.

I have seen h2o2, Hydrogen peroxide 3%, mentioned here before and in

Have you tried keeping your head to one side and putting a few drops in

When the bubbling stops then reverse and do the other ear.
Many people swear by it.

Re: CS>ear infection

2014-07-29 Thread Dan Nave
I have found that much of the bad smell of DMSO can be removed by freezing
the DMSO in the refrigerator (not the freezer compartment, use the regular
refrigerator compartment). The water component will remain liquid while
the DMSO crystallizes and most of the bad smelling components will remain
in the water portion. Carefully pour out and discard the water portion of
the DMSO and you will have a more purified product left in the original
bottle. I don't think this works if the water content is too high. I
cannot taste or smell the purified DMSO when I use it topically, but the
original DMSO or the decanted part will give me the garlic smell
immediately. It is certainly worth doing.

I would think that one could re-hydrate this with 3 to 5% distilled water,
mix it up well and re-purify it once again to get a more purified product.

Re: CS>ear infection

2014-07-27 Thread phoenix23002 tds.net
Tony.. If you start off with a diluted solution of DMSO (dilute with
distilled water) and reapply it often,
the itchiness (reaction) seems to dissipate over time. As for the dryness,
I just use organic coconut oil.
It works great. Lola H.

Aloe vera is added to many products for the purposes you write about but
actually it is astringing which makes it drying in and of itself.  EO of
Lavender is better than Aloe if many situations.

PT... You are absolutely correct about DMSO being a byproduct of the wood
industry.  Aloe Vera is often combined with a DMSO salve
to help alleviate the itching and drying effects of topically applied DMSO.
Most folks don't consider these side effects any reason to
not use DMSO. It is a marvel in relieving pain/swelling etc.

It is also used to 'pack' organs that will be used for transplanting when being

Re: CS>ear infection

2014-07-26 Thread Alan Faulkner
Sandee,

First off, no need to beg. ; )

The bit about AV was me repeating what someone else had written. So I apologize.

Aside from your typos which make it hard to interpret, your last statement is
hard to decipher. Is it meant to talk about DMSO or the other things you
brought up. If it is DMSO that is so bad then why is it available easily at a
farm food store or over the counter at a drugstore?

The odour problem that you allude to is when large dosages are used. My wife
and I have not noticed this with low doses and she has an ability to smell
things two blocks away. : ) Garlic makes me sick also. Additionally who cares
if a bit of odour is present if you are suffering from a problem and DMSO gives
you relief while you figure out the issue ?

http://www.dmso.org/articles/information/muir.htm

After a few moments I realized you cut and pasted from Wackipedia, possibly the
worst place on the web. The place is basically used by Big Pharma to sell it's
products and dis everyone else including colloidal silver. They also dismiss
Rife machines and every other alternative medical modality. Their trashing is
in true Allopathic drug company marketing style. Wackipedia has a long and very
bad history, due to the fact that anyone with a computer and a KB can write
what they please, which is why it is called a Wiki.

My experience is that there are paid professional writers who post on WP and
they are paid to make sure revisions are revised as soon as someone changes
their version. WP has been very criticized for this to the point that some of
the entries have been given a warning in their title that it is controversial.

I believe about 3% of what WP says. Max!

You can use the CS with about 10% DMSO added (9 parts CS, 1 part DMSO)

penetrate the ear tissues, but add DMSO and it will. Nose drops or a

Dear Evelyn,

One of Brooks Bradley's recommendations is to put 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
in each ear for 20 minutes or so. It's chief benefit is to knock down
viral upper respiratory infections if you hit them before they really
get going, but it's helpful for other infections in the ear as well.

Another good idea is one form or another of blood electrifier or other
electromedicine device. The microelectricitygermkiller group on Yahoo
has a bunch of documented good results knocking back all sorts of
infections in the sinuses, ears, etc... I've just dug out my blood
electrifier to start working on some deep sinus stuff, so I was digging
around in their files section just a couple of days ago.

As for CS, the main benefits of building or buying your own generator is
you don't have any question as to what's in the product, and you don't
have to be miserly with it due to cost. I'd be taking several swigs per
day if I was dealing with an active infection... figure 1-2 ounces per
"swig."

Stay on it, and let us know how it's going.

Be well!

Mike D.

Hello Evelyn,

This is what I do for any family ear infection - I put 3 drops of 10ppm CS
into their, and they lay on their side for seven minutes. Then flip and do
the other ear for seven minutes. Then flip again to let that ear drain. I
had read long ago that seven minutes was the recommended time.

We haven't had an infection in years, but we will do this as a precaution
once in a blue moon if my daughter gets water in her ear from swimming.

We have always made our own CS.

Good luck.

Permeability through glass depends on molecular size mainly. There are
very few things that can permeate glass, hydrogen and helium are two of
them. But even these two won't permeate quartz, that is why the old
radio tubes were made from quartz glass, so they wouldn't get "gassy"
from helium diffusing into them over time. I would be very surprised if
chlorine dioxide could penetrate it, I suspect they measured a loss of
the product and assumed it escaped rather than simply broke down over time.

I see where making the more dilute solution of what is, basically, AMMS
would be very useful around the house. I know there are a few products with
the 5% sodium chlorite--can't remember them off the top of my head but I
remember people talking about them--mostly as oxygen products, when MMS was

Still, I had no idea that this less concentrated solution would be
viable for more than a few hours. You are saying it stays active so long as
it's not set in the sunlight--as per Jim's warning against full light on a
bottle of 28%. At least it should stay active for a few weeks, because you
said make it up once a month?

Thanks for helping clear this up for me.

---Original Message---

The 28% concentration of sodium chlorite is dangerous to handle so I
recommend diluting it down to a much safer 5% solution. If you want to make
the sanitizing solution with 28% sodium chlorite you would use 38 drops of it
(about 2.2 ml) and an equal portion of 10% citric acid.

Hello Gina,

If you have access to sodium chlorite (NaClO2) and citric acid you
can effectively and safely kill the infection in a few hours.

The ear needs to first be cleaned out, as best as possible. With a
young child and an infection, cleaning may be more of a problem than
treating, but the treatment is more effective if an attempt is made
to clean first.

In a small glass mix 2.5 ml of 5% sodium chlorite solution with 2.5
ml of 10% citric acid solution wait 10 minutes, then add this to 250
ml of water.

Using a small syringe, dribble this mixture into the ear and try to
hold everything still for 30 seconds. Then the head can be returned
to normal position and the mixture can be shaken out.

The infection should be killed off in two treatments, but it depends
on how deep the biofilm layer is in the ear. You could try twice a
day for three days and go from there.

Adding the citric acid to sodium chlorite forms a chlorous acid
solution containing chlorine dioxide. You want to avoid prolonged
breathing of the chlorine dioxide fumes when mixing because it can
irritate your airway. The solution you mix up has 300 PPM available
chlorine dioxide with 30 PPM of that as free chlorine dioxide.

The free chlorine dioxide kills the infection upon contact (well it
actually takes 30 seconds...) and the residual left in the ear after
shaking the head continues to release trace amounts of chlorine
dioxide as new infection surfaces. The minute amount of chlorine
dioxide remains as a protective gas layer against re-infection. It
is also capable of penetrating biofilm and killing any infection
hiding there.

This is not only effective for human ear infections, but has also
proved itself when dealing with antibiotic resistant ear infections
in dogs and other animals. I have caught the attention of veterinary
doctors who after giving up on ear infections after trying all the
antibiotics they have available to them, have been astounded by
seeing the infection eliminated in a few days.

This mixture is only good for a month or so. In the event of another
infection, you should mix up a new mixture. The sodium chlorite and
citric acid chemicals are good for years as long as they are kept out
of UV light and high temperatures. Store out of the reach of
children, of

course.

Hi Tom. Well, I'm sheepish at the 300ppm. I was thinking backwards,
relating it to homeopathy where the higher the number the more
dilute--rather than thinking of CS where the higher the number the
stronger--more there is of 'stuff' in the liquid. :-) thanks for being kind
about this.

Yes, I remember the discussions about cleaning products when MMS first came
out. Many people looked at the 5% 'liquid oxygen' products too, trying to
figure out a way to make their own. You have simplified it for us. Thank
you!

I'm so surprised by the solution being viable for 4 weeks--but as you say,
Jim was pretty new to MMS, especially 'back then'. He's changed his
protocol a few times since then, although I haven't really kept up with it.
I see there's even a new bath protocol where he says the chlorine dioxide
will dilute down to worthlessness in a tub full of water. Before it was
given that too much liquid added to AMMS would dilute it too much to make it
worth taking.

So--I have added all your great information into my MMS files. Thanks so
much!

Hello Renee,

I don't consider 300 PPM "very dilute." 1 PPM is "very dilute." In water
purification we use a "strong" concentration of 4 PPM. The MMS protocol is
"supercalifragilisticexpilidocious" strong... :)

Yes. If you mix the solution according to the directions I provided earlier,
and store it out of UV light, it will still be viable after 4 weeks. Keep in
mind that these products have been used in industry since the mid 1980's. Jim
Humble is a newcomber to this whole technology. Mix some up and try it. You
don't have to take my word for it, you can demonstrate it to yourself.

A 2% sodium chlorite solution has been used in hospitals for hard surface
sanitation. In hospital use, the label calls for replacing the solution after
2 weeks. I seem to remember it being a 100 PPM solution, but I would have to
check on that. Other sanatizing solutions involve chlorine dioxide in water
solutions. They have a commericial viable shelf life of 1 week.

I believe the definition of a sanitizer is something that completely eliminates
all of the pathogens in 30 seconds of contact.

Chlorine dioxide is a very powerful oxidizer.

The goal is to have a complete reaction between the two chemicals during the
activation process. This gives you the purest chlorous acid and the highest
degree of oxidation potential from the solution.

The mixture you mentioned would end up with about 126 PPM available chlorine
dioxide with about 15 PPM of that as free chlorine dioxide. It would also
have excess citric acid in it. If the infection is slight, it may be
powerful enough to knock out the infection, but there is a reasonable chance
for failure with that strength. With difficult dog ears I have started by
doubling the strength I mention above, then after a few treatments, dropped
back to the 300 PPM available chlorine dioxide strength. With humans I have
found the 300 PPM available solution to be very effective.

Re: CS>ear infection

2010-02-14 Thread poast
Hello Bob,

The 28% sodium chlorite solution is dangerous to handle and I always recommend
diluting it down to a much safer 5% solution.

With that said, the conversion I would use is this...

4 ounces is very close to 125 ml. To end up with a 125 ml solution with 300
PPM available chlorine dioxide you would put 5 drops of the 28% solution in a
glass, and add 5 drops of 10% citric acid. Let this activate for 10 minutes,
then add enough water to make a total solution of 125 ml. This will give you a
solution with about 316 PPM available chlorine dioxide and about 32 PPM of that
as free chlorine dioxide.

When using 10% citric acid to activate a sodium chlorite solution, the ratio
for the most effective solution is adding citric acid in a 1:1 ratio. When you
add additional acid the activation is incomplete and the solution ends up with
impurities as a result. Also, the PH is driven down and there can be a
reaction with tender infected tissue and a stronger acid. Even when using
citric acid at a 1:1 ratio the resulting chlorous acid solution has a low PH
and you have to watch for signs of irritation.

It would also have
excess citric acid in it. If the infection is slight, it may be powerful
enough to knock out the infection, but there is a reasonable chance for failure
with that strength. With difficult dog ears I have started by doubling the
strength I mention above, then after a few treatments, dropped back to the 300
PPM available chlorine dioxide strength. With humans I have found the 300 PPM
available solution to be very effective.

This sounds like a more dilute form of MMS. What would you think of

Hello Renee,

Unfortunately, Jim Humble has never shared how he came up with that idea, and
testing does not support his idea...

I use a sanitizing spray around the house. Here is a test you can do.

Mix up a solution by placing 10 ml of 5% sodium chlorite in a glass and adding
10 ml of 10% citric acid. Let this activate for 10 minutes, then pour it into
a household spray bottle and add enough water to make 500 ml. You can use this
to sanitize your bathroom surfaces, cutting boards, counter tops, and so on.
Store it out of UV light and away from high temperatures.

It will be yellow in color, and have the distinctive chlorine dioxide odor to
it. If you have some chlorine dioxide test strips you can check the
concentration of free chlorine dioxide in the solution. Come back in a month
and the solution will still be yellow, have the chlorine dioxide odor, and have
the same amount of free chlorine dioxide. The official statement on this from
the commercial use of these products state 8 weeks, but my solution never lasts
that long. Since I have never tested beyond 4 weeks, I just use that as my
recommendation.

Now, if you mix the same mixture and set it outside in the sunshine it will
quickly loose all of the chlorine dioxide and end up colorless with no odor in
a couple of hours. Chlorine dioxide is very unstable in UV light.

The 28% concentration of sodium chlorite is dangerous to handle so I recommend
diluting it down to a much safer 5% solution. If you want to make the
sanitizing solution with 28% sodium chlorite you would use 38 drops of it
(about 2.2 ml) and an equal portion of 10% citric acid.

Hello Ode,

That is correct. If you want to have high concentrations of chlorine
dioxide in water, you need to chill the water.

The beauty of the chlorous acid solution is that only a small amount of free
chlorine dioxide is in the solution at any time. As it gets used up or
dispersed, more is generated as the chlorous acid breaks down. It's kind of
like a time release on demand generator.

Right Ode. Thanks for putting it into more succinct terms. :-) It means
that one batch is certainly not good for keeping for one month and still be

Are you saying the original mix of sodium chlorite and citric acid as a
liquid form is good for one month? Jim Humble says that the chlorine
dioxide made when SC and CA are mixed together will only be viable for a

Hello Gina,

The ear needs to first be cleaned out, as best as possible. With a young

Using a small syringe, dribble this mixture into the ear and try to hold
everything still for 30 seconds. Then the head can be returned to normal
position and the mixture can be shaken out.

The infection should be killed off in two treatments, but it depends on
how deep the biofilm layer is in the ear. You could try twice a day for
three days and go from there.

Adding the citric acid to sodium chlorite forms a chlorous acid solution
containing chlorine dioxide. You want to avoid prolonged breathing of the
chlorine dioxide fumes when mixing because it can irritate your
airway. The solution you mix up has 300 PPM available chlorine dioxide
with 30 PPM of that as free chlorine dioxide.

The free chlorine dioxide kills the infection upon contact (well it
actually takes 30 seconds...) and the residual left in the ear after
shaking the head continues to release trace amounts of chlorine dioxide as
new infection surfaces. The minute amount of chlorine dioxide remains as
a protective gas layer against re-infection. It is also capable of
penetrating biofilm and killing any infection hiding there.

This is not only effective for human ear infections, but has also proved
itself when dealing with antibiotic resistant ear infections in dogs and
other animals. I have caught the attention of veterinary doctors who
after giving up on ear infections after trying all the antibiotics they
have available to them, have been astounded by seeing the infection
eliminated in a few days.

This mixture is only good for a month or so. In the event of another
infection, you should mix up a new mixture. The sodium chlorite and
citric acid chemicals are good for years as long as they are kept out of
UV light and high temperatures. Store out of the reach of children, of course.

For my pets I use ear drops my formula is 1 oz
EIS (CS), 1/2 tsp MSM (pure crystals or powder,
no fillers), 3 to 5 drops DMSO (99% pure).
I warm it to body temperature then put a whole
dropper full into one ear, massage the base of
the ear a bit to try to get the solution as far
into the ear canal as possible, then let the
animal shake it out. Even though it is shaken out
virtually immediately, this was very effective
for an acute ear infection, used in conjunction
with nebulizing the same mix. 2 or 3 times a day
if tolerated. I think 3 times is better, at least
for the first 3 days. Important to be sure the
eardrum is not ruptured, obviously. But you'd
have seen that when checking with the scope

I always use Peroxide and then thruout the day and night put CS in the ears.
Peroxide kills the infection but you just put a drop of two in there and let it
work its way on into the ear canal. Don't do too much as would probably bother
her. Even a drop would help from time to time.

My mom used to put hydrogen peroxide in my ears when I was little – and I
can remember it being very cold (so a suggestion there would be to warm it
up by letting it sit in warm water) and that it felt weird as it sank down
into the ear. Your daughter my not go for that either. But, what I’ve done
with my kids at times is use those big, puffy, Q-tips that are for small
children – you can’t force them far into the ear…and dip that until it’s
saturated with hydrogen peroxide. Then you can swab the ear as best you can.

Worth a shot anyway…

They said they laid on their back on their bed and hung their head over and
down and put cs in their nose and let it stay in the sinus/nose area rocking it
back and forth to go to different areas. By doing this the cs stays longer and
doesn't go down the throat until you rise. I figured I didn't have much to
loose so I got my nasal bottle of cs (converted from an Afrin bottle cleaned
out) and it has a couple drops of DMSO also in it. I went thru the process
even though I didn't feel my sinus was involved. Low and behold after I did
this I got so much draining and the ear started to go down. Next day I did it
again and more drainage and less swelling in the ear. Today the ear is almost
normal and I can hear again out of it. I will continue this treatment for the

I had thought what I had was a salivary gland or tooth or something effecting
the ear but it was sinus. Thank you group for another solution.

RE: CS>ear infection

2006-07-04 Thread Wendy
This is common subject on my holistic parenting group ;-)

We use 3% hydrogen peroxide in the kids ears (now 4.5 yrs and 19
monthts) as soon as they start poking their fingers in them (indicating
they are itchy), or if they are sore, although not sure about that if an
infection is already set in-we’ve never had a diagnosis of one.

I have read grapefruit seed extract (gfs), colloidal silver, removing
dairy especially can help and wheat and citrus, lots of water too
works for us. Oh, I have also heard about an onion heated put in a cloth
and placed over the ear….you might want to google that for more specific
instructions ;-) Maybe some older folks here can add their experiences
with this.

I think we’ve only had 1 ear problem….my son was about 2 at the time and
started screaming at a friends house. I pulled over and nursed him a
few times on the way home, otherwise the poor child just screamed. I
gave him a homeopathic remedy and used st. francis ear oil (mullein,
garlic etc.) warmed in the ear (put whole bottle in a mug of hot water
to warm) and poof, it was gone.

 http://www.naturalfamilyonline.com/2-ch/52-ear-infections.htm is one
site but you can google for homeopathy and ear infections…. Also herbs
for ear infections. Aviva Jill Romm has excellent childrens herbal
books, and I’m not sure if you have it but an invaluable book is Janet
Zand’s Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child. In this particular book
for ear infections it recommends different doses depending on age of
child… for lactobacillus acidophilus or bifidobacterium bifidum, vit c
and bioflavonoids as they are both mildly anti-inflammatory, zinc boosts
the immune system, Echinacea and goldenseal bombo formula is important
for clearning and type of infection. Echinacea is antiviral and
goldenseal is antibaceterial. Garlic is antibacterial and can help heal
an ear infection (in aviva jill romm’s book, she recommends ‘garlic
lemonade’ and her kids love it, so do mine… I cut 4-5 cloves of garlic
up and put in bottom of 1 quart jar- pour boiling water over it, let
stand 20-30 minutes depending on childs liking of garlic;-)… then add
fresh squeezed lemon juice and raw honey or maple syrup to taste). Back
to the book…. Mullein oil is a tradion al native American remedy used to
reduce swelling and inflammation. Then there are ½ dozen homeopathic
suggestions depending on symptoms… then general recommendations etc.

If you need more specific info, email me off list.

Re: CS>Ear Infection

2002-12-15 Thread Jason Eaton
Ted:

Colloidal silver is extraordinarily effective against ear infections.

Lay your son somewhere comfortable.  Take a "dropper" and add CS to one ear;
you can massage the ear ( underneath ) gently to be sure the colloidal
silver reaches as deeply as possible. Leave the colloidal silver in the ear
for twenty minutes if possible.

Do the next ear.

If possible, do this twice daily. I've never had definative results take
longer than 48 hours.

If you can GENTLY bring the colloidal silver up to body temperature before
applying it, adding the CS to the ears will be more comfortable for your
son.

Best Regards,

Jason

Hi!
My wife has an ear infection. The Doctor prescribed an antibiotic which
she is unwilling to take due to previous unpleasant experiences with thrush.
Apart from taking an increased dose of oral CS, has anyone any
experience in placing CS directly
in the ear. As a rough guess I would say that it would be safe and
effective. If you can place it directly in the eyes
then its use for ears should be effective and safe?
We use a home brewed CS which is around 10ppm.
Anyone help!
Thanks, Rob

work
gleaned from medical records of patients treated.

** Mullein Oil **

In all inflammations of the ear,in abscess and suppuration in the
ear, acute and chronic,Mullein Oil is very effective. It allays the pain, removes
secretions and stops discharges. It is a specific for deafness, whether due to
inflammation, bathing or collection of wax or coming on gradually without any
apparent cause. It should be dropped into the ear twice a day or oftener,in cases
of sever pain. The ear should be protected with a pledget of cotton wool. In
case
of pain around the ear and the adjacent parts of the face,Mullein Oil pure or
mixed with a little glycerine or oil, should be rubbed in several times a day.

It is interesting to note that:

Mullein Oil cures incontinence of urine in the young and the
aged;wetting the bed at night, constant dripping of urine,or frequent urging to
urinate. In these affections,it should be given internally,2 to 5 drops in a
spoonful of water two to four times a day. As the case improves, give less
frequently.

Its power in reducing pain and swelling is admirable. Similarly,in
inflammation and enlargement of lymphatic glands,it can be used externally with
success. Its use will prevent suppuration.

In orchitis,[inflammation of the testicle] it should be applied
externally several times; a piece of lint dipped in a solution of 10 to 30 drops
of Mullein Oil and 1 oz water or olive oil.

In bronchitis, pharyngitis and consumption,it should be rubbed on
the neck and chest. It promptly controls the irritating cough and hoarseness.

LOL!! Couldn't help but laugh at that Peter!! I did the same thing with a
bottle of essential oil of Garlic.

would there for a minute or two)
Of course being an oil, it was hard to flush out of my ear. . . . . . (grin)
Oh well. There's something

Thanks, Rob

Actually, I have had better success with peroxide than with Silver for ear
infections. I've dropped in the peroxide,
and wait till it stops bubbling ( about 5 - 10 minutes)Then some sweet
almond oil, or pure olive oil, with a
drop or two of tea tree oil, a drop or two of garlic oil, and a drop or twwo of
clove oil. Ear ache is usually
completely gone, within 8 hours.

I have never heard of this one. I have used to Mullein Oil several times and
never experienced this one. I guess this goes to show we are all different
in the way our bodies handles things. What is medicine for one is poison to
another. :(

The eighth cranial nerve carries information
from two highly
specialised end organs lie deep in the temporal bone of the skull.

1. The Auditory Apparatus: The Organ of
Corti which regulates
sound and hearing. This accounts for
your " VERY LOUD
BUZZING sound " when unduly stimulated
.
 2. The Vestibular Apparatus: It comprises
two components:

 a. The Semi-circular
Canals
 b. The Otolith Organs

These regulate your sense of position
as in the balancing
of your gait and stance. You "
actually collapsed to the

stimulation given to the
   Vestibular Apparatus by the fresh
garlic juice causing
vertigo, a very unpleasant sense of
giddiness sometimes
associated with nausea and
vomitting.

For infection of the external auditory passage,
normally , I
cleanse it first with Colloidal Silver circa 10ppm and
then instill a
few drops of Mullein Oil into the affected ear and close
the auditory
opening with a cotten plug. Repeat the routine daily for
a few days.
I have received very good feedback from patients who are
partially
deaf using Mullein Oil. This is my way of sharing
anecdotal experience.
Please do not change the regime of the attending
physician when under
treatment. There is no substitute for that.

Rob,
Our family has utilised cs directly via dropper into ears for effective
relief of earaches.Children
particularly have shown rapid improvement.I was at one stage using cs drops

1999-10-15 Thread Cindy Powell
I just heard from the veterinarian that depending on the severity of the ear
infection and whether or not the ear drum has any "leaks" that any ear drops
can be toxic. I have a very sick bunny with an ear infection that I am
treating with antibiotic baytril and was going to use my son's "swimmer's ear"
ear drops with antibioticand hydrocortisone until I was warned by the vet that
if there is any hole in the ear drum it could leak into the inner ear with
toxic results. Thrush may be mild compared to the other troubles she could
bring upon herself.
Good luck,
Cindy

Hi Rob:
One other thing you may wish to try is one drop of tea tree oil to 8
drops of olive oil, use cotton batten if necessary to keep oil in the
ear. Alternate with CS. Hope this is of some help to you.
