From a performance standpoint, I think you'll be seeing a lot more laptops at live shows (Ectomorph used one in NYC a few weeks back) and I don't see a problem with it. You can much more power in one laptop than lugging a whole bunch of analog gear around. We just did a show in NYC last weekend
