This is by far their deepest release yet. Great murky vocals.

what strikes me, is the non-diversity of the list. i've got a dj mag from
'95? that had a similar top 10, but also had names like carl craig, derrick
may, francois kevorkian and other non-trance dj's [drum and bass was quite
big at the time -> ltj

I think noadays trance has transmutated into the genre I generally refer to
as 'progressive-nonsense'
I think if you take a trance tune, make it 3 times longer (hence 3 times
less tracks per mix) and add lots of tribal type stuff then you're in the
right arena.

Kiss, Color Of My Skin, Martine Girault's Revival (ahem), Felix's I Know
Electrick Boy LP, The Advent's New Beginnings, Derrick May's fave, The
Goodmen's Give It Up - so credit shoud go wher its due - though I reckon a
lot

Yep. And another new item available is the Tek Brothers CD. And it's only
$6.99. I ordered it the instant I saw it. If it sounds anything like the
live set they perform (which I'm sure it does)

that's the one! the whole X-102 concept and the way that they ran with it -
from the track names, to the style of music, to the way the records were
cut, to the inscriptions within the grooves - mean that imho this is an
absolute must-have classic 31

including a limited re-press/re-release of the full length X-102 which
originally came out on Tresor back in 92!
