Anyone that has experience of th MhdtLab Paradisea?
What can you tell about this?

I have been using Inguz's room correction / equaliser. It appears that

a linear one (see Linn and Chord for examples)

Maybe U8 is the 3.3V reg and is fed from U5 as in the DAC datasheet

Thanks for looking into this further, and I'm glad you found the

Having read the thread on DIYHifi forum, I don't think anyone is saying
it's a piece of crap. Just that it doesn't work the way that Lavry
claims.

I have the MHDT Lab Constantine, which if I understand correctly, is
basically a Paradisea dac without the tube. I've had it for about 4

combination and probably the best digital playback I've ever had in my
system. I've never had

Hmmm - this noise would appear not to trouble the many Lavry fans so I
wonder why not? Maybe it is

Skunk,
Sorry, I missed your kind offer of the SuperReg board. If you still
have it, i could definitely put it to good use. I'm in UK though.
Good job confirming U5=Vcc and U8=Vdd. As you say though, it'd be nice
to see where they get their feeds. I remember an old post where Sean

I currently have SB3 in my 2 channel system. What is everyone's opinion
on how this sounds as compared to running the optical out of a mac mini
into a good DAC (Benchmark/Lavry)? Both would feed into a Bel Canto
S300i - BW 705 setup. This would allow me to move the SB3 into system
in my den.
From what I've read, most think a coax link to a dac is better than an
optical link. Therefore the sb3 is probably better than a mac with
optical link to a dac.

I'm afraid that would mostly just be doing the postal service a favor,

One of the few things that we seem to agree on is that all the

The 3.3Vdd is the digital side of the DAC.
My understanding is that the only change from SB2-SB3 was that the
regulator in question was changed from a switcher to linear reg. So
exactly as shown in that diagram

I've seen the same problem since upgrading to the 6.5.1 server, but
chalked it up to a server transcode gap-skipping bug (with various

I bought one from these folks, although they no longer list the one I
