Hi all,
Just wondering if current version of SB3 support 24/96k flac or wav
pass through to DAC ? I downloaded the songs from
www.highdeftapetransfer.com and not successfully playing those files.
Before I upgrade to the latest firmware / Slim Server, it just lost the

I used Sonicap Platinum 0.1uF as bypass. Any bigger and you may
struggle to fit it inside an SB3. Danny from GR Research agreed this
would do the job when I ordered. The blackgate was as suggested by

The SB3 handles 24/96 by downsampling to 24/48. Support for playback of
24/88.2 via downsampling to 44.1 is on the way in a future firmware
update for the SB3.
I have the same samples from HDTT and have no problem playing these
files on my SB3 connected to Tact RCS with coax S/PDIF. Have you

Indeed the is it an amp question is purely technical and irrelevant to
the end user. Even if it isn't, most people will call it an amp for
convenience if nothing else. We've probably done that to death here.
The interesting technical point is that there is no analog gain stage
in the unit.
