west t,o east. Going to drive east to see if I can find it again.
Sighting was from Crystal Beach Blvd at the bottom of Thickson Rd. Exit 412 off

About 10 minutes ago I saw a Black Vulture slowly drifting west over the
intersection of Davenport Rd. and Walmer Rd. (immediately south of Casa Loma).
It appeared to be moving directly west.

Tonight I visited the pond at 3147 Morgans Road in Newcastle where the
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron has been present for the past 5 days.
I arrived at 8:35 p.m. and there was no sign of the bird near the pond or on
the surrounding grass or in the trees. After 20 minutes on
412 on Hwy 401) via the Waterfront Trail
westward from the cul-de-sac.

usually found feeding off to the west in between the cordoned beach areas of
the two nests.

I received word from Tyler Hoar this morning that the searchers so far this
morning have not relocated the Ash-throated Flycatcher near Corner Marsh yet
this morning.
I hadn't seen any updates yet, so I thought I would post this information.

Cormorant in the bay off of Thickson's Woods. It was seen in direct comparison
with a group of 10 Double-crested Cormorants and scores of Red-breasted
Mergansers. The bird was barely longer or heavier looking than the
Ontbirds subscribers, The female Western Tanager first found on December 16 at
Durham Court Park in Oshawa by Otto Peter and Jim McKnight during the Oshawa
CBC, was seen by many additional observers this afternoon from 2:20 p.m.
onward. In addition to feeding on buckthorn berries in the woo

Adamo was still present this evening until sunset just to the west of Thickson
Point. It is still found within a mixed flock of several hundred Mallard,

of birds past Thickson's Woods since dawn. About 9:15 I had a Leach's
Storm-Petrel fly past my place going west to east about 250 - 300 metres off

beyond, who may not have heard yet, will know of the passing on Saturday of
beloved birder and author Fred Bodsworth in his 94th year.
The following death notice appeared in yesterday's Toront
Ontbirds subscribers, I spent much of the time between the periodic deluges of
rain today scoping Lake Ontario off Thickson's Woods in the hope of finding
southern hurricane-deposited waifs in these remnants of Hurricane Isaac.
Unfortunately, there was nothing around that I would attribute t
