This afternoon at around 4pm I had a flock of at least 80 Bohemian Waxwings in
a deciduous tree just across from 7725 Speedvale, east of Guelph.
The birds were mobile and most flew toward the conifers to the south after a

3). She had been seeing Bohemian Waxwings feeding on crabapple in Wallace
Heights last week, so we drove around some of the streets and found many

This afternoon at Isaac Lake there was a flock of 30 Bohemian Waxwings. On the
Lake was a female Black Scoter, a Coot and a Pied-billed Grebe.
Directions: From Wiarton go north 8km to Isaac Lake Road. The Waxwings were
about 200m before the end of the road.

On a beautifully sunny day in the Capital region, Tom Hanrahan and I decided to
try our luck. We had 7 Bohemian Waxwings at Constance Creek. They were very
active in the trees along the waterway. Having not seen a posting for this
species yet this fall I thought I would
Today at 12:00, I saw about 100 Bohemian and Cedar Waxwings on Sideline 12
north of Durham Regional Rd 5. It was a 50% mixed flock. This is road a few
km east of the village of Claremont.
The birds were just south of the RR crossing. They were high in the trees
and coming down in the woods to
A flock of 100+ Bohemian Waxwings descended on the Hilda Road feeders in the
Shirley's Bay area on Saturday feeding on the many berries there. There
were Bohemian Waxwings everywhere it seemed. They stayed for much of the
day just feeding from tree to tree and offering great close-up looks.
Hi Ontbirders:
A flock of about 20 Bohemian Waxwings was present near Billings Bridge on the
Rideau River at 3:30 this afternoon. The flock was moving about in the tops of
large trees just to the west of the bridge at the corner of Wendover Avenue and
Warrington Drive.
Only four duck
This morning we were surprised to find fourteen Bohemian Waxwings perched in a
dead tree at Henry Marsh in Bracebridge. A short distance east of the marsh
along the Trans Canada Trail there were about twenty White-winged Crossbills in
the balsam firs. A small flock of Pine Siskins was at the
Bohemian Waxwings were seen last night and this morning, in a small
ornamental crabapple tree at 59 Baby Point Road, Toronto. This is a
corner property, across from the tennis courts, and the tree borders
the sidewalk. 3 seen last night, two this morning .

For anyone still hoping to get their fix of Bohemian Waxwings, there was
a flock of approximately 60 (and a few Cedar Waxwings mixed in) feasting
on fruit trees this morning along the south side of Queen Street (just
east of Dixie Road) in Brampton out in front of the Bramalea City
Centre. The

It has been a great year around Ontario for these Bohemian Waxwings. I heard
from a few other birders that they have trouble finding them after others
report them, as they are often mobile. I thought I would give a head's up to
those in the Ottawa area still wanting to see
A group of at least fifty (as counted in photograph we took) Bohemian
Waxwings was holding a song-fest in the top of one of the white-
birches(?) on the west side of Oakville harbour by the lighthouse.
They flew off as a flock to the west at 2:22 PM.

Today I saw the Bohemian Cedar Waxwings mentioned by Bob Ross yesterday.
They were feeding on berries behind a condo on the southeast corner of
Leslie and Lawrence Ave. There is a good mix of Am. Robins, Juncos,
White-throated Sparrows, Cardinals and Common Grackles moving through
There were 7 Bohemian Waxwings this morning at the Shakespeare CA, feeding in a
crab apple tree near the road. 8 Tundra Swans flew by, heading west. Also
evident were good numbers of Killdeer, Horned Lark, robins, redwings, grackles,
Canada Geese, a rough-leg, and a red-tail.
