worked great for a couple of months, but now my systems has slowed way down

Are the vobs a result of a full-backup, or just components of an
authoring?I tried a full backup of the disk; a movie/us sound only
burn is my next try.
Will I be able to see the difference in the picture from the reduced
compression on the second version?
