So, I got a new work computer. It's a Dell. The first thing I always
do with a new computer, particularly a Dell, is reinstall a generic
copy of windows and partition the drive. I try to do that. BSOD.

call and complain about the lack of software on CD. They finally

Download your drivers.
Honestly, I hate it when people talk smack on Dell. I have like 4 of their

I used to like dells a lot, but lately, their quality does seem to be
slipping. Maybe it's because they're offering the low end versions
that everybody seems to buy. I don't know of anyone with a dell

I just went though a similar process of reinstalling the software on a
couple of del servers I bought a year ago. They came with a CD with
all the drivers though. I got all the drivers and also the SATA
drives going without much trouble. Just a couple of google searches
got me all the info I

I've now also had my administrative rights taken away and no software
installed on it. Yippee!
Oh, and the video drivers are wonky, I think. My eyes...my eyes!

Even besides the warranty, that's a problem for me... OpenGL support on ATI
cards is subpar.
Mine does 1920x1200.
I'm not sure about the warranty stuff. All of our work goes through
CDW. As for the graphics, mine's got an ATI Radeon x600. I think
