synaptics) to transcode HD files on DNxHD to use them in cinelerra.
It works OK. (sound and images.) Then follow instruction on Grandma
to render in best quality. For me it works.

I use ubuntu studio 10,04 works well. I was mandriva before also but i
quit the systeme en 2008 since I'm with ubuntu. At the beginning I was
using every upgrade but now I use only the LTS versions. It's better
more stable to work. I installe normal version before then upgrade to
studio
can see it will be possible.
I will certainly test Josepkey's way of 4,2 to see if that holds enough
on my computer and see the differences.

Normally shorten a file is very simple in cinelerra.
You go to the track point with the mouse the end or the beginning.
you'll have an arrow showing back or forth according where is your mouse
arrow. You clic and move the file left or right ...
That's all.. Normally there's a bug there
noticed that arrows doesn't work the same at the begining of
a file and at the end.
And it's not the same behaviour when the files touches each other or not.

I was on cinelerra lprod 2.1 since 9.04. It worked well at the beginning
with 9.10 but, I don't know how, it stopped rendering in quicktime and
