IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-IS-M), Version 12.1(5)T7, RELEASE
I attempted the lab back in August of 2000. Granted that was the 2day
format, but the ? was available then. To remove it would be absurd.

Please check my logic on this frame-relay traffic shaping scenario:
My Bc is 8,000 bits
My Be is 16,000 bits
My CIR is 64 Kbps
If I send 1 burst of 56,000 bits then 4 bursts of 4,000 bits, after the 4th
burst of 4,000 bits I will be able to burst again
Is it possible to allow outbound connection to a Microsoft VPN Server (using
MS PPTP) from a client machine behind a PIX 520 (IOS 5.2)?
If so, what are the commands needed to configure the PIX.

Thanks.

Does anyone know what this thing does? I've been using 12.2T for IPv6
support and I just noticed the image below, labeled IP PLUS IPSEC 56
WIRELESS - is that for the 5.8 gig wireless NM? Anyone using this stuff
in the field?

Tc = 1/8 of 1s by default. Therefore since you have 64000 as CIR, each TC
can send 8k. If you send 4K, you still have another 4k to burst in that
window. You can still send more, as most frame-switches police on 1 or 2
second intervals, so if you violate the Be for 1 or 2 Tc's it will even out
Although I've not used 'stacking' I've heard and read of it a small bit. It
seems it's makes multiple switches appear as a single switch as far as
managing the equipment. However, performance-wise, is there any gain to
'stacking' switches as opposed to simply interconnecting them. I'm not
Congrats dude! Keep on going till you get that CCNP!

Report misconduct and
IMHO, you should always force the speed and duplex on both the switch and
the end device. Autodetect can work find if both sides are set to
autodetect, but if one side is set to a particular duplex and speed and the
other is auto, you'll almost surely run into to problems (the least likely
