Would a 2503 be able to communicate with Cisco 1005 via serial while the
2503 serial interface is set for synchronous and the 1005 serial interface
is set for asynchronous? (I'm using a crossover serial cable with proper
clock rate)

I recently added a 16 MB flash simm to my 3661 .
My problem is the that routes identifies the two flash simms as two
different partitions either of which doesn't have enough space for my IOS
which is 21 MB .
How should I configure the router to see both the memory modules as a single
32 MB partion
