I would clear the counters and wait a day and then post sho int again.
Collisions are normal but the other errors are an indication of possible

If you are using a windows 2000 machine, you may need to upgrade the ios
version on the switch. I ran into this problem on some catalyst switches
that we are uing in our network. This a documented bug that you can find
using bug tracker.

If you have all of your CW2K services set to automatic then the Ciscoworks
software will try to start them once the daemon manager is turned on and
then windows NT will try to start them as well, which causes a conflict.

You have to set up private and public snmp communities on the
router/switches, add these ip addresses to Ciscoworks for discovery and also
setup syslog statements on each router/switch.

I have worked with have CW2K and the 6509 switches and I you are able to
look at the %: utilization, multicast, broadcast, errors, collisions,
between these switches using the minirmon. You can also view the packet per
second per tcp port used, packets per second per xcast (broadcast,
is about 60%. I have over 2GB of swap space setup. The PC I am currently

There is a known bug in some of the IOS versions for the 3500 series switch.
You can go to Cisco's web site to find the exact version. The switch will
